Spaghetti with Nigerian stew (vegan)
Stew is a popular thing we use for boiled rice, boiled yam, boiled spaghetti and most other boiled stuffs here.
I am delighted to share with you how I made this Nigerian stew in vegan style for my siblings and I.
Follow me as I share the recipe now:
Ingredients
2 Cooking spoon vegetable oil
1 medium and 1 small onions
1 tables spoon pepper
1.5 cooking spoon tomatoes paste
1 small piece of ginger
Curry leaves to taste
Salt to taste
The making process for this stew is very easy since there are no non vegan stuffs in it.
First I had to slice my onions, grind the ginger and set aside
Then I put a pot to heat, added oil and onions to it to sauteed. I also added some salt and stirred.
Next I added the tomatoes paste to it and I was stirring it till it's well blended in the oil
I then added the ginger and pepper to the moisture and also stirred.
Next I added a cup of water to it and cover the pot to let the stew boil.
Once I add water, I cover the pot and let the stew simmer for about 10 minutes. This helps the flavors meld together, resulting in a richer taste. If the stew is too thick, feel free to add a bit more water as it cooks
Soon it was boiled properly so I added to curry leaves to it:
At that point the stew was done so I dished out in a plate.
Next I was boiling the spaghetti for us to eat with it.
Soon it was ready and I properly served the stew with spaghetti for us to eat.
Preparing this vegan Nigerian stew for my siblings and I was a fulfilling experience. The stew’s versatility means it’s perfect for pairing with anything from rice to yams or even spaghetti, as we did this time. Seeing everyone enjoy it made me appreciate how comforting and adaptable traditional recipes can be. I hope you enjoyed the process.
