Stay Tuned!!!

Tell us a bit about yourself, how did you join Hive, and what keeps you active in the community?

20240330_221802.jpg

Dlmmqb: First, I would like to thank Ahmed Hayat for recommending me for this interview. My name is Muhammad Qasim Butt, known online as DLMMQB, where "mqb" stands for my real name and "dlm" is my internet identity. I've written a detailed blog about my username for those interested in learning more.

I was introduced to Hive by Clove71, who invited me to join the community. As a Pokamon fan, I discovered Clove71 Splinterlands video while searching for similar NFT games. Initially, I was unfamiliar with Hive and hive.blog; I only knew about splintertalks.io. During my time in the Terminal community, I learned a lot about Hive, which I then shared with others in HivePakistan.

I've realized that many people, like me, need guidance and are not fluent in English or prefer not to read lengthy guides. The love and support from HivePakistan motivate me to accumulate more Hive Power (HP) so I can support genuine Pakistani users. Although there are scammers, I actively monitor the "Pakistan" keyword and the hashtag #hivepakistan to manage this issue.

In Pakistan, not all women are allowed to work in offices, which limits their potential. With 77k HP, which is designed to grow continuously, I feel empowered to provide these women with a safe learning environment and a platform to monetize their skills without showing their faces. This helps them grow mentally and take control of their own lives.

Other things that inspire me include the ability to fund various projects through delegated proof of stake, such as wells, flood relief, cancer operations, and even YouTube journeys like BRO. With HP, I can support narratives I believe in on Hive. It's not about the price for me but the limitless potential this delegated proof of stake system offers. I have never powered down my stake; instead, I keep it in three parts: active HP, HivePakistan-delegated HP, and HL Panda token-delegated HP. I only involve my stake in areas where I have a voice.

In short, my inspiration to continue on Hive is the freedom and opportunities it offers.

Your posts often share valuable insights and knowledge. Can you tell us about your writing process and what drives your creativity?

20240330_221802.jpg

Dlmmqb: There are two types of posts I create: one in English and one bilingual, in both English and Urdu. I write in both languages with ease, depending on the content and the audience.

There is no secret to my content creation. I am a very talkative person in real life, and I use writing as a form of mental therapy. When I express my frustrations on paper, I feel a sense of relief. Similarly, sharing my happiness through writing amplifies my joy. Writing helps my mental health, and because I enjoy it, I continue to do it.

What's the most interesting or unique thing about your daily life that might surprise people on Hive?

20240330_221802.jpg

Dlmmqb: The most interesting aspect of my daily life is how integral Hive has become to it. I work on a variety of projects, such as the upcoming tokens for HL and HivePakistan. As a software engineer, I enjoy working on tokenomics and writing litepapers and whitepapers.

Currently, I'm also working on digitalizing the immutable Quran on Hive and creating Urdu video tutorials for Hive. Both of these are slow-paced projects, but they are very important to me. I constantly work on new ideas behind the scenes, and Hive provides the perfect platform for this. My numerous ideas keep me busy and engaged.

One of my notable projects was the PIZZA Lottery, utilizing Hive technology. Inspired by the Million Dollar Homepage, I used this concept for my final year project in software engineering. We have a grading system and my project got the highest grade. This project led to a discussion with Yaziris, where I suggested a simpler model that inspired the creation of Drawmatic. While the brilliance behind Drawmatic is all Yaziris, I am proud to have been the spark behind it.

I am grateful to Yaziris for continuously supporting the technical aspects of HivePakistan (Hivediscobot). Together, we will be working on new adventures in the near future, one of which is HivePakistan's token. If anyone is looking for a developer, I highly recommend reaching out to Yaziris his speed and efficiency are unmatched.

In summary, the most interesting thing about my life is Hive and the endless opportunities it offers to bring my ideas to life.

20240330_221802.jpg

As a curator, what do you look for in a post that makes you want to engage and support it?

20240330_221802.jpg

Dlmmqb: The most important aspect of a blog is its SEO score. Our blogs are not yet ranked high in Google search results, primarily due to time-based monetization, which will change in the near future. For now, Google Images ranks Hive blogs quite well. Therefore, I like to support content that has the potential to appear in Google Images search results.

Different people have different approaches to SEO, and there isn't a one-size-fits-all solution. Proper formatting also plays a significant role in providing an eye-pleasing experience for readers, so it matters a lot. Additionally, the meta description is seen by search engines, and I've noticed that many Hivers don't use it effectively.

Beyond SEO, I value engagement with other authors. If you actively participate and interact within the community, I am more likely to curate your content to help prevent Hive from becoming a ghost town. I also curate posts to encourage content creators when I see they have improved from their previous work.

20240330_221802.jpg

What advice would you give to new users just joining the Hive community?

20240330_221802.jpg

Dlmmqb: Don't think of Hive as just a money-making platform. It's much more than earning a few cents. Hive is about building deep connections, learning new skills, and expanding your network. Once you establish a strong network and meaningful relationships, the blogging and gaming aspects will become just a small part of your overall experience on Hive.

If you view Hive solely as a platform to post and earn, you're missing the essence of its creation. On Hive, no one can censor you or freeze your funds. You don't need anyone's permission to support initiatives around the world. Your reputation and network can have a lasting impact. Even if you decide to leave Hive one day, living your Hive life honestly and authentically will reward you in ways that extend beyond the platform.

20240330_221802.jpg

If you could change something on Hive, or create something new, what would it be?

20240330_221802.jpg

Dlmmqb: I would modify the seven-day payout window. While I might not be the most knowledgeable person on the platform, I find it discouraging when authors earn only a few cents for their blogs. However, it's worth noting that they might not earn anything elsewhere.

I am currently working on a campaign called "Hive and Beyond," which encourages content creators to utilize both Web2 and Web3 platforms. By bridging their audiences from platforms like YouTube, Twitter, Twitch, WordPress, and Medium to Hive, they can effectively market Hive across different networks. I believe this cross-promotion is essential for growth and engagement.

On Hive, everything relies on Hive Power (HP) to motivate and bring people together for collaborative efforts. As more HP is accumulated to support content creators who actively promote Hive on other platforms, this initiative will gain momentum. I am considering testing this model individually to see if it works.

How many bloggers on Hive also share their stories in video format on both 3Speak and YouTube? The future of Hive is shaped by every community member, and I believe it looks bright for those who think beyond the traditional boundaries.

20240330_221802.jpg

Are there specific communities or initiatives you're passionate about? If yes, tell us about them.

20240330_221802.jpg

Dlmmqb: Absolutely, there are several communities and initiatives I'm passionate about:

HiveLearners:

  • Support for Authors: HiveLearners supports authors based on their individual skills, helping them grow and improve.
  • Video Verification: This prevents multiple accounts and abuse, ensuring a fair platform.
  • Panda Token: This upcoming token is designed to support liquid rewards and encourage investment in Layer 2, providing dividends to holders. It includes a burn fund to control supply and has a mining difficulty feature. Though there's no launch date yet, it's a project I'm deeply involved in as the HL ambassador and financial expert of the Panda Token, or "Pandex."

Hivediscobot:

  • Breaking Monopoly: Hivediscobot helps community leaders by providing advanced technology, breaking the monopoly of bigger projects.
  • Community Needs: It offers customizable solutions for different community needs and is used in HivePakistan with exclusive features.
  • Developer Support: Yaz, an exceptional developer, delivers solutions quickly and reliably, which makes this project highly effective.

HivePakistan:

  • Founder: I founded HivePakistan, a Discord-based project to help Pakistanis understand Hive better, offering support in both Urdu and English.
  • Tag Monitoring: We support Pakistanis using the exclusive #hivepakistan tag for better monitoring and also curate content outside of Pakistan organically.
  • Community Curators: We have community curators who focus on specific topics like art and science, and others who monitor special keywords related to Hive.
  • Growth and Impact: As of June 15, 2024, we have 3,662 HP delegated back to HivePakistan by our power-up account, hpk-x. The HP continues to grow, enabling more support for various initiatives. The upcoming Pak Token, expected to launch in 4 to 6 months, will further enhance our ability to meet community needs.

Pizza Community:

  • Network Building: Pizza Discord is a great place to build a professional network with a diverse group of people. The trends and hangouts may change, but the right kind of people gather in different places as the project environment evolves. Building a network with the right people is crucial for professional growth.

20240330_221802.jpg

If you could invite any expert or thought leader (alive or historical) to join hive, who would it be and why?

20240330_221802.jpg

Dlmmqb: I would invite Allama Iqbal, a South Asian Islamic philosopher, poet, and politician. His poetry is considered among the greatest of the 20th century, and his vision for the Muslims of British-ruled India played a key role in the Pakistan Movement. He is commonly referred to by the honorific Allama (Persian: meaning "learned") and is widely considered one of the most important and influential Muslim thinkers and philosophers of the 20th century.

I believe that if Allama Iqbal could see Hive, he would appreciate how Hive Power (HP) can support and spread important ideas. HP is similar to getting support from newspapers to promote your ideas. On Hive, having HP allows you to influence and motivate others to participate in various activities, whether it's dancing, singing, or other forms of expression. HP encourages people to act in certain ways, much like trends on TikTok. However, unlike TikTok, Hive offers a more meaningful platform for building a community and sharing ideas.

20240330_221802.jpg

What's the best piece of advice you've received, and from whom?

20240330_221802.jpg

Dlmmqb: I've learned valuable lessons from various sources like anime, movies, and MOBAs (multiplayer online battle arenas). From a MOBA, there's a quote that really resonates with me about life and how we're all connected:

"This is not the end, for there is no end. Death, Life, Destruction, and Creation are threads of the same fabric. No matter who you worship, where you call home, we are all connected in this life and in the face of destruction, you can despair alone or persevere together."

This quote shows how I see life and the importance of sticking together during hard times.

20240330_221802.jpg

Finally, who else do you suggest should be interviewed here?

20240330_221802.jpg

Dlmmqb: I've read Azircon's bio where he mentions being a Pokemon enthusiast and a futures trader. I'm particularly interested in learning more about his journey and success in futures trading. This field is often viewed as high-risk and carries a negative perception among many. By gaining insights into his experiences, I believe it could positively change how others perceive futures trading.

Dlmmqb: To our readers, if you have any questions for @dlmmqb, do leave in comments and tag him. He will reply to questions too in a dedicated post.

I can attest that Qasim is a super interesting, educated and truly surprising young man to talk to, although I admit that he also commands respect, especially because of the issue of downvotes, which many people are afraid of.

The truth is that I am about to start a role-playing game about Pokémon (I had to play the character last night, I will play an Onyx, so in approximately 3 weeks you will be able to enjoy that story on my blog, when I finish my current story of Mesmer the witcher ), and I would really like to read or watch on video an interview with @azircon , whom I consider quite interesting to be honest.

Your interview is very good, I would have liked it to be in audio format to hear them talk.

I will be waiting for the next interviews you do, I have started following you.

Good job and thanks for interviewing @dlmmqb .
