UNP's INTRAMS 2022 Opening Ceremony in Vibrant Colors

With the two years that the pandemic took to us, I am trying my best to suffice all those fun events I missed before by attending various events in our university, especially now that I am in my senior year.

Presenting to you are the highlights of the University of Northern Philippines' Intramurals 2022 Opening Ceremony held at UNP Grandstand on Sunday, October 9. Cheers burst as Intramurals 2022 officially started.

The almost empty field was slowly filled with students, instructors, administrators, and other people.

It started with a parade of delegates representing their designated units, after which the yells prepared by each unit were showcased. Some wore wings-like costumes, and some did some stunts, making the crowd scream for joy and amusement.

Another highlight is the usual tradition of raising unit banners which were administered by the academic deans, the university administration, and also the officials. With more than 2 years of not having been able to have this event in person due to the pandemic, sure, it was incredible and really brought out the long-sleeping thrill and excitement of everyone.

The Field Demonstration, another significant highlight of the Opening Ceremony, was performed by the 3,382 Second Year PE 103 students led by the instructors from the Department of Physical Education.

The efforts of the students and instructors paid off as they successfully flaunted and showcased their colorful and awe-striking performance.

The song used in their performance was Wavin' Flag, a song by Somali-Canadian artist K'naan. Everyone was amazed by the performance, especially when they simultaneously waved the neon green and orange flags that they were holding. I, for one, even stood up after their performance as a way to show how satisfied I was with what they showed to the crowd.

There was also Food Fair were various foods were offered. Some are budget-friendly, and some are costly but worth the price. I am really on a tight budget, but I was taken by my friends and went there and bought some food. As a result, I also purchased some takoyaki and refreshing juice. Anyway, it's what made the experience more amusing.

As the sun set, students were thrilled because once the sky turned dark, it would be filled with colorful fireworks displays while playing the Firework song by Katy Perry. This happened after the UNP President concluded the ceremony with a warm message and reminder about the genuine significance of sportsmanship and resiliency.

The night ended with the UNP band performance. The songs played were top hits, and students sang along with the band.

Great that you were able to go to the event and enjoyed it. Certainly, after the pandemic, we want to make up for "lost time". So I hope you enjoy your senior year at University :)

Yeah, as things go back to normal, I am really one of those who's doing their best to at least make up for that lost times.

Hopefully, it's going to be an amazing year. The road, for sure, may get bumpy at some point but with faith and raging determination, everything may become possible. Thank you!

No hard feelings about the downvote, just combatting auto-voting that creates an imbalance of posting rewards on our blockchain. Too many whales are too lazy to do manual curation, hope you understand, and oh yeah, awesome post and formatting by the way.
