Trip to Brunei
Hi hi.. everyone.. how are you? I recently went to Brunei. The country of Brunei is not too far away from where I am staying. On normal days like weekdays driving to Brunei from Miri here is a breeze. On super busy days, it gets super busy and the jam lasts for hours. The last jam I had lasted 5.15 hours.
Miri - Brunei border
Brunei car plates start with B.
This is me getting near the immigration post to get my passport checked. Not too far from it. Usually, around 20 minutes from where my car was.
So after getting to Brunei from Miri, I went to one of the plazas at Kuala Belait. I wanted to get some food. Read on to find out what the food looks like. I am sure you have never seen anything like that before.
Some shops here are not in business.
I went to Restoran Nul Hajika
The menu items - I wanted something with curry.
The inside of this shop is vintage. The wooden table and chairs. The feeling of how restaurants used to look like.
Some of the other shops here. The tailor for the local dresses for ladies. The tailor here customizes each dress accordingly.
This is another shop - a cyber cafe. Customers can go inside and surf the net for those who don't have any computers at home.
I was walking around exploring the place while I was waiting for food.
After some more exploring around, my food and drink was here. As usual, a cup of coffee.
Buns in curry fried in eggs. This is definitely delicious.
My wife ordered a plate of noodles. I just love anything that has curry in it.
I was hungry after queueing for a while at the borders of Brunei. It was time to eat. Yummy. The hot curry and the bun combined well. Delicious combo.
After eating, went to pay at the counter and it was time to head to the next place. Thank you for reading. Have a great week ahead.
