Good morning.. It's been a long morning. I went hunting for a shoplot for my new upcoming business. The economy is getting better, so it's time to try things out. Recently, I went to try out the sushi at this new sushi place called "PAPA SUSHI". Such a unique sushi name. Is it good?

The food is good but they have lots to still improve. Maybe, since they are new, lots of stuff are not yet ready and running. But the food here is good.

PAPA SUSHI

Dragonfly sushi. Yes. That is what I saw on the menu. But it's eel. Hahaha.. But it taste good. The eel is slightly thin. So let's see what the inside of this place looks like?

It looks new and quite comfortable in.

The ratan covers on the lamp. The cute papa sushi logo at the back. The chefs still learning how to make the sushi. Yes. The manager told us that they were still not ready to handle some of the more sophisticated menu items.

PAPA SUSHI

In Malaysia, I guess, people are creative. They can create all sorts of cute names. PAPA SUSHI, then there's Sushi King. Sushi Mentai. Sushi Zan Mai. Aoki Sushi. There is even the Japanese greeting as you walk into the restaurant.

So what's on the menu

Fried rolls. My wife wanted to order these cause they are the first in Miri to have these but sadly, they were unfortunately. Unavailable. There is a next time.

Delicious sushi

They had a MYR 2.50 / 53 cents promo per pack of sushi that you see on the conveyor belt.

The Idako

Baby octopus sushi. Delicious. This is my favourite as well my wife.

Mayo sushi

The mayo adds a delicious texture on this sushi dish. Delicious. Dip it in wasabi soy sauce. Woo.. savory good.

California roll

These are by far the most popular sushi in any sushi restaurant here in Malaysia. I guess, one of the reason is the ease of making it.

Unagi sushi

The eel sliced into thin slices. They look so tender, don't they? Ah.. so yummy. Do you want to have a bite of it?

Mochi balls

These are my favourite. I had one and my wife had one. Simply delicious.

The bald guy

He's a manager at a local sushi restaurant (not this one) that I've seen here trying out the sushi. Maybe to check out the competitor. Ahahaha..

The ambience is great and this sushi restaurant still has a long way to go. A great new sushi restaurant for all in Miri to enjoy.
