Hi hi.. everybody. It is currently a Saturday. Elephants are not found in Brunei or Sarawak. So why is this Elephant here? Does it have a name? Where is this place? Meet Jeddah, the only Asian elephant in Brunei. Read on to find out where you can find this elephant and its rough age.

Jeddah, the Asian elephant

I recorded a video of Jeddah but have yet to upload it on my channel. Do stay tuned. Jeddah's huge enclosure. Beloved by the locals here, I could see lots of fruits bits and bananas scattered around. Jeddah's leg is chained. I guess, this is to ensure public safety as well. I think Jeddah is a female elephant.

This elephant belongs to the royal family of Brunei.

She has dark brown skin. I guess, she's about 50 to 60 this year. She has been here since 1988. At that time, she was 25. So some calculation and I guess she's about 50 to 60. I think she has been at this particular spot for a long time. Free from poachers.

Behind me, not seen in the picture is a restaurant. Imagine sitting here for lunch and looking out into the horizon. Clear skies. Well maintained by the royal family.
