Good morning. Currently, it's raining heavily in Miri, Sarawak. The weather is slightly in the scorching and wet season. I recently craved some Western food. British-inspired Western food but a Malaysian creation. I guess, Malaysia is a place for food-related experiments. Most of the time, new types and styles of food pops up.

These are the Malaysian version of Western-inspired dishes.

There are many versions of this dish that you can order; grilled or fried. You can customize the sauces too. Then there are fries. There is no rice.

Ah Bui western food

Ah Bui = Fat in Malaysia. This is the fat man's kitchen. The logo is a fat boy. Ah Bui is quite popular here in Miri and has opened so many branches all over Miri. This branch serves Western food.

The menu of food

So many different types of Western food to choose from. All with french fries and grilled or fried steak.

Ordered a cup of coffee with milk. This is definitely one of the most important drinks for me. I had a long drive before I arrived here.

The chicken chop

The chicken steak here is fried until it gets crispy and crunchy. A perfect fried egg and some salad on the side. Some fibre.

My wife ordered Fish and Chips

The Malaysian fillet is usually Dory fish fillet fried. Then the french fries and sometimes an egg on the side. We also ordered a plate of veggies to eat.

Fish fillet frying is not easy. At places, I've eaten fillets that have not been cooked that was still raw. Then the skin comes off easily in some places. At this restaurant, the fillet sticks to the skin.
