We were on our way to this beach in Brunei and it was a hot day. But we got stuck. We wanted to explore Penanjong Beach but we were on the wrong route. A couple of hot days so it wasn't raining and the sand was smooth and fine. What happened was that after a while of driving, the car got stuck in the sand. I stepped on the pedal and nothing. Half of the rim was in the sand. So we had only one thing to do, call the tow truck to help pull it out of the sand. BTW, that's my sister in laws car. Usually, when I am in Brunei, I drive around in my sister-in-law's car or sometimes my car. It's not easy for a Malaysian car to get petrol. I got to fly my drone here. Watching the beautiful shorelines of Penanjong Beach.

No tourists come here. Usually, locals come here. I have never had a time when my car got stuck in the sand. This is a first.

The sand here gets really smooth so no amount of acceleration or reversing was getting the car out.

My sister in law called the tow truck

Here the insurance provides free toll truck service in case you are in an emergency. So it was time to put good use to that. Chillin in the hut. I was here sitting there sweating. I initially had an idea that was to scoop out as much sand as I possibly could but it took too much time. So, since the toll truck was coming. Why not?

The spectacular view

Sitting here enjoying the pristine view of the beach. Brunei has lots of beautiful beaches. 15 is the total. I've been to maybe 1/3 of the total.

Unknown paradise

This is an unknown paradise that is unknown to the outside world. Brunei doesn't do a lot of marketing in terms of getting tourists into the country. So if you do visit Brunei, make sure to visit their beautiful beaches.

Finally, our savior was here

This Ford pickup has got some power. The tow truck driver took out a rope and tied it to the back of the car and the other end to the front of his car. I was in the driver's seat of the VIOS. He reversed and accelerated until the car got out of the sand and finally onto solid paths again. We spent probably an hour here.

I could feel myself flying out of the seat as he used the car to pull out. Finally, the car came out and it was time to go to the next destination.
