A plate of delicious Nasi Lemak in Miri
It is lunch time and let's have a plate of Nasi Lemak. Hello.. thank you for reading my post about my daily mundane routine of maybe eating. Nasi Lemak is Malaysia's pride; it is usually coconut rice with cucumber slices, anchovies, fried peanuts, and fried chicken. Then, there is the fried squid version in Miri.
A lot of Malaysians have been asked, "What is the English name for Nasi Lemak?".
It's not an easy answer to that question.
My wife looking at that mouthwatering delicious Nasi Lemak Squid
There are so many places to eat in Miri that there is a never-ending search for new restaurants in Miri.
A part of Singapore is in Miri.
This restaurant that we went to is called the Singapore Nasi Lemak. A taste of Singapore, I guess? It's been many years since the last time I visited Singapore so I have forgotten what a plate of Singaporean Nasi Lemak tastes like. But let's head to this Singaporean Nasi Lemak and try it out.
This is what the restaurant looks like
I ordered a cup of milk coffee.
No sugar and some ice to cool down the body.
Ordered a plate of Nasi Lemak with fried squid
Peanuts. I usually eat the coconut rice with the peanuts together.
I ordered "Fish and Chips"
The fish is slightly a bit too overcooked but still palatable. I usually love eating the french fries first.
I tried some of my wife's Nasi Lemak to have a bit of a taste test. Still needs a bit of something but it passed the minimal taste text. The rice needs a bit more softness.
I guess, one of the things of being a food lover and trying out food at many places is that I can roughly tell if something is good or not.
Overall, it was worth the trip here to try out the food here.
wow the food looks so delicious i love it my friend
