Resumen del Google Keynote (Google I/O 2023) - [SPA][ENG]
¡Hola a todos! Espero que estén muy bien, el día de hoy quiero hacerles un resumen de las últimas noticias que Google quiere compartir con nosotros. Cada año, Google hace este evento en donde muestra sus avances tecnológicos de Hardware y Software así como sus futuras incorporaciones de la Inteligencia Artificial en sus productos.
La presentación inicia con el CEO de Google, Sundar Pichai, el cual habló de la incorporación de la inteligencia artificial generativa (Generative AI) en sus productos.
En primer lugar, hablaron de la utilización de la tecnología NeRF en Google Maps para obtener una representación 3D en tiempo real de la ciudad de alta fidelidad y podrás ver la ruta que recorrerás a través de la función de Vista Inmersiva (Inmersive View for Routes) en donde podrás ver la calidad del aire, el clima y el tráfico.
Anunciaron Editor Mágico (Magic Editor) para Google Photos, el cual te permitirá borrar objetos de una imagen o editar una imagen con solo un prompt, reposicionar objetos en una imagen, completar el contenido cortado en una foto, cambiar la iluminación.
Luego nos presentaron a PaLM 2 la evolución de su modelo PaLM, el cual tenía 540 Billones de parámetros, pero ahora utiliza muchos menos recursos de cómputo a la hora de hacer predicciones. Este modelo ha sido incorporado en 25 de los productos de Google.
PaLM 2 se desenvuelve muy bien en múltiples tareas, obteniendo mejoras en sus capacidades de compresión y razonamiento en más de 100 idiomas. Y es capas de ajustarse a conocimientos específicos. Esta tecnología también mejora las habilidades matemáticas, lógicas y de razonamiento de Google Bard. Adicionalmente, se mejoran las capacidades de Bard para generar código de programación en lenguajes populares como JavaScript o Python, pero también puede manejar lenguaejes especializados como Prolog, Fortran, etc. También encontrar errores en el código y dar soluciones a éstos.
Este modelo estará disponible en 4 tamaños, ordendados desde el más pequeño hasta el más grande: Gecko, Otter, Bison y Unicorn. Siendo el módelo Gecko fácil de integrar en dispositivos móviles, incluso sin Internet.
Adicionalmente, presentaron la aplicación de PaLM en el ámbito médico con Med-PaLM, que, gracias a la colaboración de investigadores y médicos pueden ofrecer recomendaciones médicas, resúmenes y análisis, reduciendo 9 veces (9X) la probabilidad de errores o razonamiento impreciso. Sin embargo, tiene un acceso limitado y solo será ofrecido a un conjunto de clientes de Google Cloud para probar esta tecnología y garantizar que sea segura y responsable.
Por otra parte, entrenaron el modelo PaLM con conocimiento sobre seguridad informática, obteniendo el modelo Sec-PaLM, lo cual permite analizar el comportamiento de códigos potencialmente maliciosos y amenazas reales para las organizaciones.
Anunciaron Duet AI, la integración de IA en Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Slides y Google Sheets) para obtener recomendaciones creativas, redactar emails, documentos, generar imágenes, hacer resumen de conferencias, crear presentaciones y analizar datos de tablas de una manera rápida y eficiente. Este producto es el equivalente a Microsoft Copilot.
Adicionalmente, el chatbot impulsado por inteligencia artificial Bard ahora está disponible para todos, así que podrás utilizarlo sin estar en una lista de espera. Este bot ahora tendrá compatibilidad con el idioma japonés y coreano y permitirá exportar respuestas de Bard a otras aplicaciones como Google Docs o Gmail. Además, Bard sí tiene acceso a internet, por lo que toda la información está actualizada, a diferencia de ChatGPT.
Bard también puede hacer resúmenes de páginas web, pasandole un enlace de la web. También le puedes pasar un enlace que contenga código y le puedes pedir que te lo explique. Adicionalmente, te responderá en 3 versiones, así que puedes hacer clic donde dice "View Other Draft" y verás las otras versiones.
Bard incorporará ahora las funciones de comprensión de imagenes, así que ahora podrás pasarle una imagen y conversar sobre ella. Expandiendo su uso a más de 180 países, aunque solo se le puede hablar en el idioma Inglés. También mencionaron la capacidad para generar imágenes utilizando Adobe Firefly. (Esta es una estrategia competitiva muy buena porque al ser sólamente imágenes licenciadas, no tendrán problemas por derechos de autor en el futuro).
Por otra parte, anunciaron la incorporación de la IA generativa en su motor de búsqueda, de forma similar a BingChat, así que al hacer una búsqueda en Google podrás obtener una respuesta generada por inteligencia artificial en la parte superior, visualizar productos y servicios y mantener una conversación fluida sobre lo que estás investigando, además de tener una interfaz bonita y agradable. Google aún no ha anunciado una fecha concreta para la integración de Bard en otros productos de Google. Sin embargo, la compañía ha dicho que está trabajando en la integración de Bard en una variedad de productos, incluyendo Google Search, Google Docs y Google Drive.
Por ahora está en fase experimental, así que puedes utilizar Bard en la Google AI Test Kitchen. La cocina de pruebas es una forma de experimentar con Bard y proporcionar comentarios a Google. Para acceder a ella, visita https://bard.google.com/.
Otras proyectos de Inteligencia Artificial que podemos solicitar acceso para probarlo es el modelo MusicLM, el cual nos permite generar música o canciones, con solo una descripción de texto.
También mencionaron otro proyecto conocido como Tailwind, el cual es un cuaderno (Notebook) integrado con inteligencia artificial generativa con el cual podrás investigar y hacer preguntas, obtener resúmenes, etc.
Por otra parte, mecionaron que están trabajando en el "Proyecto Gemini", un modelo de Inteligencia Artificial multimodal capaz de integrarse con múltiples herramientas y APIs. Aún está en entrenamiento y también tendrá varios tamaños.
También mostraron las nuevas funcionalidades de su plataforma de Inteligencia Artificial en la nube Vertex AI, la cual permite que tú como usuario puedas crear aplicaciones de IA, fine-tuning a tus modelos y consumir un conjunto de APIs,como la API de PaLM (chat, texto, embeddings, lo que sería equivalente a las APIs de OpenAI, también podrás utilizar la API de Imagen (su modelo generador de imágenes), Codey API, (Generador de código de programación) y Chirp (Generador texto a voz). Al ser una plataforma en la nube, es de pago por uso.
Asimismo se encuentra la plataforma MakerSuite, la cual te permitirá crear aplicaciones de inteligencia artificial de una manera muy sencilla y conectar con las APIs de PaLM. Esta Suite también cuenta con una Galería de Prompts para realizar distintas tareas, crear datos sintéticos y configurar las opciones de seguridad.

En la parte móvil, anunciaron un Bot Ayudante para Android Studio, el cual permite explicar los errores y ofrece soluciones para corregirlos, así como una acción para añadir la línea faltante en tú código.
Presentaron una nueva colección de dispositivos Pixel:
- Google Pixel 7A, impulsado por Inteligencia artificial y con un precio de $499 USD.
- Pixel Tablet, la cual posee un precio de $499 USD.
- Pixel Fold, un dispositivo plegable con una pantalla de 7,6 pulgadas, resistente al agua y con tecnología 5G. Posee un precio de $1799.
También hablaron de las optimizaciones de su sistema operativo Android OS para pantallas más grandes, con aliados como Samsung o Motorola, la incorporación de WhatsApp para sus smart watch Wear OS.
Magic Compose usando respuestas sugeridas por inteligencia artificial en la aplicación de Mensajería de Google. También hablaron de la personalización tu dispositivo Android, con la capacidad de crear tu propio fondo de pantalla usando el generador de imágenes de Google.
En este Google I/O también hablaron de la necesidad de crear o programar inteligencia artificial con responsabilidad, crear una tecnología inclusiva y beneficiosa para todos. Un que están investigando un sistema de marca de agua y metadatos para saber si una imagen fue generada por inteligencia artificial. Se tomará en cuenta la protección de la privacidad y la reducción de los sesgos, además de probar la tecnología antes de sacarla al público.

Muy interesante eso , no lo sabía, lo único malo es que actualmente bard no está disponible para Cuba y tengo que acceder a través de una vpn, cosa que no pasa con bing chat por ejemplo
