Wednesday walk - Savor the tamarind fruit while enjoying nature.

How many of you have ever eaten fresh tamarin? Well, for those who still don't know what the tamarind and tree look like, I'll share them with you during our Wednesday walk.

Taking time to relax is important because it helps us to stress out and relax our minds. So when I was working in the city, I was looking for time to interact with nature every time I'm home, like going to the sea or simply visiting some parts of our place with a lot of beautiful natural scenery.

At home, we had this one medium tamarind tree that had already bare fruits many times. I say medium because tamarind trees can grow into huge trees and I can guarantee that this type of tree is very strong. This tree that we have was located between my in-law's paddy field and her small fisheries, but unfortunately, due to water scarcity and some landowner conflict, we are not using the area for both the rice field and the pond. But the pond still has some fish but we can't breed more fish because of the limited water supply.

(unfortunately, the very stunning rice field before was now the neighborhood's animals' pasture and kids' playground)

Anyway, my kids and I agreed to get some tamarind fruits. It was already 5 pm and almost sunset, so it was the best time to spend the day there cause it was not hot already. It was Wednesday also, so I think it's better to post in this community @wednesdaywalk initiated by @tattoodjay.

It's just a walking distance from our house and before we went there we brought a bamboo pole to use for picking the fruit from the tree also I took some salt with me to eat with the tamarind. First I slapped the stick to where many fruits are and so each one fills down especially those ripe ones since tamarind fruits are already easy to pick because its shell had already dried. Kids are the ones who picked the fruits from the ground and later my eldest Carlo wanted to take turns so I pass him the stick while I am all ready to savor the harvest.

(to eat this we have to munch the brown flesh and spit each seed)

This is what we got. The second picture above was the kind that just got ripened and this third picture is what it looks like when they're super ripe. Its shell is already dry and what you can see is like the cells that are what hold the shell after you remove it. The fruit itself is this green/brown thing and the texture is like a paste stuck to the seeds. Its taste is sour which is why I love to dip it with salt, but sometimes there are a few who are lucky that they have the sweet fruits of tamarind.

While I'm busy eating, I'm also relaxing. Felling the fresh air and enjoy nature while I'm here. The kids also have fun playing, running, and having some sticks they assume that it was a sword and play like they are knights. In this way also I love doing this because it makes my kids appreciate nature and they relax their selves with gadgets.

For now, even though this is not as beautiful as when everything was all in good condition, what is important at this time here is you can still appreciate the natural scenery because we don't know, maybe the time will come to this area will be crowded with infrastructure.

So this is how we spend our @Wednesdaywalk. Thank you so much for reading this far. If you have something to ask/ say feel free to comment down below. Have a great day ahead everyone ❤.

Here in my village is not beautiful at all. Rice field became insdustrial area little by little. Sad but this is a modern era.

Anyway, I love eating fresh tamarind too. I still can found some tamarind tree here.

Hehe oo nga, sampalok pa po ito. Dito sa aamin pag niluto ito at nilagyan ng Brown sugar tinatawag na po namin itong tamarindo.
