THE UNITED KINGDOM OF THE GREAT BRITAIN AND NORTHERN IRELAND
A number of countries stand out for me. As someone who hasn't been outside his home country yet, you can be sure i look forward to visiting every region there is.
I like China and Germany a whole lot, but for this prompt, let's talk about the "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland."
While we grew up, almost every child and parents alike either wanted to go there or spoke very highly of the place. Of course, the United States was always in the picture(it was the most talked about) before even the UK and Canada began to catch their interests. This is quite the reality with the people in this part of the world where I am from.
And then, we'd grow up, and although we still want to visit there, we would begin to think about how very saturated the place would be. Away from that...
I have heard and read a lot about the United Kingdom. There's a lot to appreciate about the place even though there are bits about it that make it hectic.
First, the educational system is sound, as I've heard. Lecture times run as they should. However, the school authorities are more considerate of students. The learning environment is conducive, and study materials are within reach.
Then, the healthcare system is equally fantastic. Human life is prioritized, and the healthcare service is usually free except in cases of surgery, I think. The facilities are standard, up-to-date, and the system runs efficiently.
Then for transportation. I think this was one of the best parts for me. Taking Uber is quite expensive, but the bus and train work efficiently. What interests me the most is that a person could purchase a bus ticket that he could use as a bus pass for every bus he boards that day. There's the one-off bus ticket and the one that serves all through that day. When I heard this, it was insane. It's just fabulous. Busses having pick-up times was a little off for me, but I still appreciate how the system is run.
The only one area that's not quite it is that of housing. Renting an apartment costs a lot. Speaking with my people over there, when the issue of rents comes up and I make conversions to naira(I've been told to not do that), the rent prices monthly would cover yearly rent over high for very standard houses and still have change left.
But that's that.
Food isn't very expensive. There are African stores for my African meals. Language is no barrier as English is widely spoken. The job market is active. The UK is open and very receptive to people of diverse cultures and although it runs highly on work-energy(in that people are too occupied with work and have not much time for fun), I still fancy it.
Overall, there's much about the place that I am fascinated about. It's not about one particular thing but the entire makeup.
I hope that this was interesting to read. Thanks for coming around.
Yay Finally I met someone that loves the United Kingdoms too,
Cheers to our future travels to UK🥂🌸
There's a lot of us.
Cheers, anyway.
