Let's Make Salchipapas! (Potatoes & Sausages)

La comida rápido siempre será uno de mis delirios, me encanta comerla y creo que no hay nada que no me guste. Aunque hay muchas cosas que aún no he probado, por ejemplo las Papas Mixtas o estos panes redondos gigantes rellenos de cosas, con solo verlos siento que me va a gustar demasiado. Por otro lado, las Salchipapas, son una comida rápida que no había probado porque no se me había presentado la oportunidad, estando en casa bastante aburrida sin compañía para salir a comer, decidí hacer una comida rápida, pero algo nuevo, así que después de buscar como hacer las salchipapas decidí hacerlas a mi manera.

Fast food will always be one of my deliriums, I love to eat it and I think there is nothing I don't like. Although there are many things I haven't tried yet, for example the Papas Mixtas or these giant round breads filled with stuff, just by looking at them I feel like I'm going to like them too much. On the other hand, the Salchipapas, are a fast food that I had not tried because I had not been presented with the opportunity, being at home quite bored without company to go out to eat, I decided to make a quick meal, but something new, so after looking for how to make the salchipapas I decided to make them my way.

Ingredients

Para 1 Persona. | For 1 Person.

  • 3 Papas medianas. | 3 medium potatoes.
  • 2 Salchichas. | 2 Sausages.
  • Queso al gusto. | Cheese to taste.
  • Salsas al gusto: Mostaza, Mayonesa, Salsa de TĂłmate. | Sauces to taste: Mustard, Mayonnaise, Ketchup.

Para hacer estas salchipapas es necesario pelar las papas, luego cortarlas en palitos, la forma tradicional de las papas fritas. Seguidamente en un sartén, colocar bastante aceite, para agregar las papas y freírlas, dejándolas bastante doradas y crujientes. A mi no me gusta freír con demasiado aceite, así que coloco poca cantidad y voy volteando las papas para que se cocinen por todos sus lados, tardo más pero ya estoy acostumbrada, además de freír 2 tandas de papas.

To make these salchipapas it is necessary to peel the potatoes, then cut them in sticks, the traditional way of french fries. Then in a frying pan, put enough oil to add the potatoes and fry them, leaving them quite golden and crispy. I don't like to fry with too much oil, so I put a small amount and turn the potatoes so that they are cooked on all sides, it takes longer but I'm used to it, besides frying 2 batches of potatoes.

Luego estuve cortando las salchichas, en fotos había visto que eran gruesas asi que las corté de forma gruesa y en diagonal. Luego las lleve a un sartén con aceite caliente a freír, dejándolas también un poco crujientes. Una vez freír una parte de las papas, mas coloque en un plato con la mitad de las salchichas, entonces se me ocurrió agregar queso guayanés, para que con lo caliente se derritiera. Luego coloque el testo de las papas, el resto de las salchichas, la mayonesa, la mostaza, la salsa de tomate y finalice con queso encima.

Then I was cutting the sausages, in photos I had seen that they were thick so I cut them thick and diagonally. Then I took them to a frying pan with hot oil to fry, leaving them a little crispy too. Once I fried part of the potatoes, I put them on a plate with half of the sausages, then I thought of adding guayanese cheese, so that it would melt with the hot oil. Then I put the potatoes, the rest of the sausages, the mayonnaise, the mustard, the tomato sauce and I finished with cheese on top.

Esta receta me encantó demasiado, primero porque amo las papas en todas sus presentaciones, si es frita muchísimo más. Segundo, porque las salsas son mi delirio y el queso bien derretido es una delicia. Esta es una comida demasiado fácil y rápida de hacer, no tiene mucha ciencia y es perfecta porque no necesitas de muchos ingredientes, además de ser bastante económicos. Tuve que compartir estas salchipapas con mi mamá y mi hermano menor, a ambos le encantaron, quisiera repetirlo pronto pero solo para mi, ya que es demasiado rico para solo comer un poco. Espero que les haya encantado esta receta tanto como a mi, nos leemos pronto!

I loved this recipe so much, first because I love potatoes in all their presentations, and even more if they are fried. Secondly, because sauces are my favorite and the melted cheese is a delight. This is a very easy and quick meal to make, it's not very scientific and it's perfect because you don't need a lot of ingredients, besides being quite cheap. I had to share these salchipapas with my mom and my younger brother, they both loved them, I would like to repeat it soon but only for me, since it is too rich to just eat a little bit.
