Enhancing Your Skillset in a Competitive World

The world is now becoming a competitive ground but I want to ask you hope you are not competing with people you are supposedly be learning from??
No doubt, once you are into a particular business or engagement, always be reminded that you are not the only one doing the exact thing, you might not have found out yet but sooner or later, you’d get to see your like minds.

The world is now very competitive, and everyone is trying so hard to make it. That’s why you see people into more than two businesses. One source of income is not enough, that’s been the only sentence on everyone’s tongue.

The days are gone when they force people to get themselves in one business or skill. People are now realizing it themselves now and this has been reducing the rate of unemployment in the country. Though many are underemployed.
I could remember how I shared a story of such in my last write up I published. Where an ATM making machine get to replaced lots of staff only few who are familiar with the technical know how of the machine were retained, why? Simply because they possess the skill their fellow colleagues do not have. That made them stand out there by retaining their jobs.
Many a people believe in earning money only but the truth it, you need to learn before you can earn.

I’m a business owner and I can relate to this. Seeing the results doesn’t mean you’re doing well. In the long run, you might lose most of your customers to another business owner. Ask me how!
As a business owner, you need to learn about how your product can improve people’s lifestyle, relating the advantages, disadvantages, measures to be taken when using the products, ask them for feedbacks, post engaging content, wishing them happy birthday or make them know you remember them. Always create a memory for them to always remember you whenever any type of your products is mentioned. That’s simply one of the difference between an entrepreneur or a hustler.
So as for the write up not to look like it’s being directed towards business owners only, let’s talk about some soft skills that will always keep your heads-up wherever you are.
Firstly, Communication skill. The importance of having a good speaking and listening skill can never be overemphasized because it’s what surrounds other skill. Good self expression helps in showing your personality as an individual or a business owner.
Furthermore, collaboration. The world is said to be competitive and most people think everything is going to work that way. There’s something we called healthy competition which I can also referred to as collaboration.

Visionaries focus on their similarities rather than their differences , there by making their collective efforts worthwhile.
It's sad to see most individual trying to compete with people they supposedly be learning from. When you collaborate with people, you making yourself visible to them and their followers.
And lastly, technical skill. The world is moving at the fastest rate. What takes you 1 hours to complete yesterday might take you just few seconds today simply by the development of some software. Always keep yourself update about new development.
In conclusion, whatever you do, do it well and be unstoppable and remember it all takes consistency and determination.
