Lara Croft: Tomb Raider Simpsons Style

Hello everyone and welcome back to my art blog! Today I'm very excited to share with you my latest project: a fan art of Lara Croft, the iconic heroine of the movie "Lara Croft: Tomb Raider" played by the talented actress Angelina Jolie.

For this project, I decided to create one of my favorite movie and video game characters in the Simpsons drawing style. I love this style because it's fun, unique and often makes the characters look adorable and funny.

The first thing I did was look up some reference images of Lara Croft online to make sure I captured her iconic look in my drawing. Once I had a good idea of what I wanted her to look like, I started drawing on my digital tablet.

I used bold colors to add a touch of life to the drawing and make sure Lara Croft looked vibrant. After that, I added details like shadows and glows and a background surrounded by dense vegetation.

Para este proyecto, decidí crear a uno de mis personajes favoritos de películas y vídeos juegos en el estilo de dibujo de Los Simpsons. Me encanta este estilo porque es divertido, único y a menudo hace que los personajes se vean adorables y divertidos.

Lo primero que hice fue buscar algunas imágenes de referencia de Lara Croft en línea para asegurarme de capturar su aspecto icónico en mi dibujo. Una vez que tuve una buena idea de cómo quería que se viera, comencé a dibujar en mi tableta digital.

Usé colores llamativos para agregar un toque de vida al dibujo y asegurarme de que Lara Croft se viera vibrante. Después de eso, agregue detalles como sombras y brillos y un fondo rodeada de una densa vegetación.

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (or simply Tomb Raider) is a film based on the popular Tomb Raider video game series, starring the character Lara Croft. It was released during the summer of 2001. The main character, Lara Croft, was played by actress Angelina Jolie..

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (o simplemente Tomb Raider) es una película basada en la popular serie de videojuegos Tomb Raider, protagonizada por el personaje Lara Croft. Fue estrenada durante el verano de 2001. El personaje principal, Lara Croft, fue interpretado por la actriz Angelina Jolie.

Process / Proceso

To begin with, I chose a design reference of Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft in the movies, and with that image in mind, I started to create my own drawing in the style of The Simpsons. I used Ibis Paint X to draw and shape the character, making sure it had the distinctive features of the characters from the famous animated series.

Once I had the base design of the character, I focused on the color palette I would use. Instead of following the color scheme of the movies, I decided to borrow the colors of the video game character, which are brighter and more saturated, to give it a more vibrant and animated feel.

For the design of the weapons, I borrowed some details from the original game design, such as the details on the guns. I made sure they were recognizable and in combat-ready position.

Finally, I designed a background full of vegetation, with trees and bushes that give the feeling of a dense forest. I wanted the background to reflect Lara's adventurous personality while creating a sense of danger and mystery.

Once I had all the elements together, I adjusted the colors and tones so that they complemented each other and looked cohesive in the final image. And so, I completed my Lara Croft fan art in the Simpsons style, I hope you liked it!

Para empezar, elegí una referencia del diseño de Angelina Jolie como Lara Croft en las películas, y con esa imagen en mente, comencé a crear mi propio dibujo en el estilo de Los Simpsons. Utilicé Ibis Paint X para dibujar y dar forma al personaje, asegurándome de que tuviera los rasgos distintivos de los personajes de la famosa serie animada.

Una vez que tuve el diseño base del personaje, me enfoqué en la paleta de colores que utilizaría. En lugar de seguir el esquema de colores de las películas, decidí tomar prestados los colores del personaje del videojuego, que son más brillantes y saturados, para darle un toque más vibrante y animado.

Para el diseño de las armas, tomé prestados algunos detalles del diseño original del juego, como los detalles en las pistolas. Me aseguré de que fueran reconocibles y que estuvieran en posición preparada para el combate.

Finalmente, diseñé un fondo lleno de vegetación, con árboles y arbustos que dan la sensación de un denso bosque. Quería que el fondo reflejara la personalidad aventurera de Lara y que a la vez creara una sensación de peligro y misterio.

Una vez que tuve todos los elementos juntos, ajusté los colores y los tonos para que se complementaran y se vieran coherentes en la imagen final. Y así, completé mi fan art de Lara Croft al estilo de Los Simpsons, ¡espero que les haya gustado
