My Lessons From Mass indoctrination Day 9
Calvary greetings to us all. Thanks be to God for His goodness and mercy towards us all.
Am Bro Kelvin ajah and this post is done on the 27/6/22 to share my lessons from the mass indoctrination Day 9 with Bro Eli Soriano.
In Hebrews 10:24, we learnt that we are to provoke one another unto good works. In the true church, we are to observe carefully one another. We should care for one another. We shouldn't forsake the gathering of the brethren. The focus of the gathering of the brethren is not the offering but for brethren to see each other if any is in need, exhorting one another. Caring for one another is supposed to be part of the church just as Bro Eli shared of a case were he had to give a shirt to a brother who has only one shirt. We should consider one another;we should be concern about others. We should take time to observe one another.
In Matthew 26:41; we also learnt how the word "watch and pray" is wrongly misinterpreted as stay up late, which instead means to observe and pray.
Our maintenance is our consideration of one another. Our consideration provoke one another to good work.
Whether we have money (offering) or not,we should not be discouraged to go to church. In James2:1-4, we saw that no one should be discriminated in the church irrespective of their status. There should be no partiality in the church. Everyone should be treated equally, both the rich and poor.
In 1 Corinthians 11:21-22, Saint Paul discouraged the attitude of having so much to the extent of even getting drunk while there are some that don't merely have something to eat or drink. In 2John1:12, John eager to see the brethren face to face that their joy may be perfect. Most importantly seeing the brethren is to exhort one another.
In Acts 20:7, we saw the early christians gathering together. They gather on the first day of the week being Sunday. During the gathering, Paul spent greater time with them sharing the word of God.
He preached till the midnight. This is to tell us that the major component of a Christian gathering should be studying the Bible and not as we see in some gathering were few verses are being read without thorough explaination. According to 1 Corinthians 14:26, we are to have psalm with us, hence there should be singing in the church. Singing is one of the most joyous activity on earth. In Job 38:5-7, the morning stars has been singing even before man was created. They sang to God to glorify Him because of the earth He was creating because it was a good thing. Revelation 1:20, let us to know that the morning stars refers to the angels.
We can sing for anything,so alot of singing is expected too in the church. The angels sings before God daily before God (Rev 7:11) and they are enumerable according to Rev5.
Not just only do the angels Sings but all the host of heaven - Rev 15:1-3. When the angels are on earth on their visit during the birth of the Messiah (Jesus Christ), they sang too. This we saw in Luke 2:8-14. God Himself and Christ sings too according to Hebrews 2:11-12.
Singing is an important part of the gathering of the church and when we sing,we should be doing it to God and no other- Col 3:16,Heb 13:15,Ps 92:1-3
Songs are very important. In Psalms 32:7, we learnt that, there are are songs that are songs of deliverance; when we sing them, evil forces leaves. David sang in 1sam 16:23 and King Saul was delivered from evil spirit the Lord brought upon him. When we gather and sing, evil spirits depart. Singing is sufficient to drive out devils. Bro Eli shared a story of a pregnant woman who was possessed with a demon that was speaking in male voice; she was delivered after singing songs to God.
It's a good thing to sing praises and give thanks to God most High. Singing is from God. The angels sings before the world was created
We also learnt in 1 Corinthians 14:28, that in the gathering of the brethrens, there is also tongues and interpretation of such tongues.
In John 20:19,we learnt that the Apostles gathered on the first day of the week, and when Christ appeared Unto them,He told them to be of good cheers, meaning He was in support of the gathering. In Acts 2:46-47, we saw that worshipping God isn't restricted to only Saturday as the case of sabetarian. We can worship God anything and not necessarily selected days.
God bless you for going through. Hope you learnt something new too.
I am inviting you too to join us here as we learn God's word together.
Thanks be to God for listening on our meeting.
MCGI Cares (Hive) community's main mission is to share the words of God, not the Hive upvotes. If we get upvotes, please treat it as just a bonus. Do not focus mainly on material things as the bible is teaching us not to look at things seen but rather focus our eyes on things not seen.
II CORINTHIANS 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
