My lessons from mass indoctrination Day 8
Calvary greetings my brethrens and good morning all.
My name is Ajah Kelvin and am doing this post on the 23/6/22 to share my lessons from the mass indoctrination Day 8 done on the 22/8/22
From the book of 1 Peter 2:12, we learnt that by our good conduct/deeds/works towards men, even if they be evil, they would glorify God in the day of visitation. Just as we saw in the mass indoctrination Day 7, in Luke 6:35, that when do good or show kindness like our father in heaven, then we would be called His children, that He(God) encourages us to behave this way because he wants those that are evil to be saved through our good works. When we do good works,we should not expect rewards from men , for it's God that rewards His children for their good deeds.
When those that doesn't believe (unbelievers) in God see our good works, then they would eventually want to join us(the church) some day. Bro Eli shared a story of a man who hated him do much because of the gospel he is preaching. The man's wife was a member of the church of God. The attitude of the wife was instrumental to him and this changed him and he later became a member of the church of God too. She behaved very well to him. She does what was expected of a good wife. She didn't disrespect or disregarded him.
We can win people to God through our good works. Matthew 5:16, says let our light so shine before men that they may see our good works and glorify our father who is in heaven.
We also learn from the 1 Corinthians 5:11-13, that members of the church that practice evil and wouldn't want to repent, should be put away from our company. In the mentioned verse such practices include fornication, covetousness, drunkenness, idolatry, etc. The bible teaches that the church should expel such in the practices, particularly when they refused to change from it.
The bible made us to understand from this passage, that expulsion is a commandment from God and the Church is expected to exert such when necessary.
Bro Eli also shared with us during the teaching why the bible instructs/ recommend expulsion when my necessary. According to 1 Corinthians 15:33, if they continue to be among members of the church, they would corrupt the good ones, just as in the situation of having rotten tomato in the midst of good tomatoes; the rotten tomato would soil the good ones.
We also learnt from Titus 1:16, that we should be aware of those that profess God in pretense , that deny God in deeds. The church should not tolerate anyone that does evil if they fail to repent irrespective of who is involved,be it a minister or other officials in the church.
The book of Ezekiel 34, made us to understand that God is angry with false teachers and preachers. God promise to require stewardship from those overseeing the flock.
If we find ourselves in the hands of false teachers,we should pray to God to take us away from the hands of such preachers as it is in Ezekiel 34:2.
In conclusion,if we are doing good, then we should strife to finish it and not to stop- Luke 14:28-30.
God bless us all
Thanks be to God for listening on our meeting.

II CORINTHIANS 4:18
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
