Mass indoctrination Day 3 on 13/7/2022

Calvary greetings to us all. All glory to God for making His available unto us through His church. His word transforms us to be like Him when we obey and live by it.

The mass indoctrination is very important because it helps us to know what teaching/doctrine is true and which is false. In 1 John 4:1,we saw that there are different kinds of spirit and it's our responsibility to test whether the spirits are of God or not. There are false prophets amongst us and we are to cleave to that which is good according to 1 Peter 2:1.

Jesus is the only teacher appointed by God. He is the only one authorized by God to teach His doctrine. The word of God is our standard. The word like a weighing scale; it must be exact and if it's not exact then it's not to be accepted, hence we must examine the word of God properly. What is to be accepted, is what is in the Bible.
The book of Ecclesiastes 7:27 tell us to compare things which helps us to find out the truth. We should prove all things and cleave to that we is good- 1Thesalonians 5:21, Romance 12:7.

Pray is a commandment from God and we are to pray to God only and not to anyone. God is the only one that hears our prayer when pray.
According to John 9:31, we learnt that not all prayers are accepted by God. God doesn't answer the prayers of those that do evil, He only answer the prayers of the upright.

How do we then pray for our prayers to be honored by God?
In Matthew 6:8, we saw that God knows what we want before even asking Him and we should avoid vain repetition because our prayers are answered on the basis of much sayings and vain repetitions. The book of Ecclesiastes 5:1, recommends that our words be few. We should pray specially for what we need. For instance, it's not proper saying the Lord's prayer in the time of disaster such as earth quake.
When we pray,we shouldn't boast for men to see us as the Scribes and Pharisees normally do. We should forgive one another before we come to God in prayers-Mark11:25.

We also learnt that praying while standing isn't wrong,but we shouldn't do it because we want men to see us order wise our prayers won't be answered by God. We can kneeled down too while praying. Jesus prayed in the garden Gethsemane,we saw that he kneeled down before God on prayers-Matthew 26:39. To kneel down means to place one's self in a passive position horizontally. The early Christians too kneeled down to pray. When we are in a circumstance were we can kneel, then we should stand and pray but as the hypocrites

We should show intensed respect when we pray. In 1Corinthians 11:9-10, the woman is to cover her while praying for her head is for the glory of her husband. The man is not to cover his head, otherwise he would be dis-honouring his head.

In summary,

• we should pray to God alone and not to any man.
• we should not pray for others to see us.
• We should avoid vain repetitions while praying
• women are to cover their head while praying.
• when we kneel to pray,then it be horizontally and not vertically.
• God only answers the prayers of the upright
