Splinterlands Social Media Challenge! / Looking for the new Rebellion reward cards!

Hello fellow Splinterlanders!

I managed to play three time in the current season and I got quite a lot of Glint and it was time to collect some of the new Rebellion reward cards, because they have brand new abilities and powers to upgrade my tactics!

There are a lot of new cards, so I am hoping to open some good ones out of the 30 Major chests that I have bought, because I think that gives back the best value under the current circumstances. 😊

Out of the first batch I acquired a lot of potions (as usual), but I got two different cards and one of them was gold foil, which is always nice. 😁

The Thunderhood Nomad is a low mana cost monster from the Earth Splinter and she has one magic attack, which is excellent using the Obsidian as her summoner. She also has the Magic Reflect ability, so if she dies against a magic attack monster she will reflect some of that damage back to her attacker. 😊

The gold foil card was the Ujurak Brave, which looks like a cheap tank, with a lot of armor and health. His extra ability is the Immunity (at least on his firs level), which allows him to withstand any incoming de-buff or negative status effects. 😜

The second batch of chests provided me two different reward cards, which is was good, but I got a lot of potions as well. I am always happy for the merits to upgrade my Gladius cards and the two energy is also good to play more and get some juicy SPS and Glint out of the battles.

The Ujurak Elder cost only three mana as well and I got four copies of him. He is a magic attack card as well just like the Thunderhood Nomad, but he has the Camouflage ability, which means that none of the enemy monsters will be able to target him directly as long as there are other friendly monsters on the battlefield or he fell into the first position. 😊

The Luceheim Demon cost quite a lot of mana with his seven mana and he doesn't really have a lot of defense either. He is slow with big ranged attack using the Snipe ability, but he really shines in the Reverse Speed ruleset! 😋

My third batch of chests were the best ten out of this thirty Major chests and finally it was worth to open those.

The first card I got from this batch is the Commander Slade and he cost 10 mana, which is quite a lot, so let see how good is he. I managed to get 5 copies from this Rare card, and he has a lot of defensive stats and abilites along with decent attack.

His Enfeeble ability is one of the new one and it will allow him to decrease the enemy melee attack by one if he attack his target. His Evade ability is also good to dodge some of the incoming attacks comined with his good amount of speed. 😉

The Kha'zi Conjurer is very cheap with his two mana cost and apart from his health he looks very strong on the battlefield. He is a ranged attack monster with a lot of damage, but she has a very 'interesting' ability and that is the Incendiary.

This means that she will reapplies Burning at the beginning of each round. Burning has a 33% chance to spread to adjacent units at the beginning of each round, then all Burning units lose 2 health. Burning can be cleansed. 😝

The Dark Arborist is also a Rare card and I got four copies of her. She is a Death magic attack card, so her ability is not going to be a huge suprise, because she is able to decrease all the melee attack by one of his enemies using her Demoralise ability. 💪

The Tokatag Conscript cost six mana, which is quite a lot compare to his stats, but suprisingly she has the Sneak attack, so she will attack the last monster of the enemy team and she is a little bit protected against them, because she will reflect all the incoming melee attack back to her attackers. Sadly she doesn't have too much health, so she will be able only a handful attacks. 😕

All in all I was happy with this draws, because I got quite a lot of cards and 3799 Merits, which is almost enough to buy two Gladius packs. I always try to buy these chests, when I am renting, because of the possibility to get some extra energy and I was lucky to get 5 of that out of only two chests. Sadly I also got a lot of potions and I am not a big fan of them, because they looks pretty useless and I hope next time I will get less of that and more Legendaries. 😁
