Prismologists are experts at illusory and light-based magic using prisms. Armed with their custom built prism, they bring them to the battlefield to manipulate magic around themselves. Light dances around them in a rainbow of colors as they lay waste to a bloody battlefield.

Those who wish to become Prismologists train at the Peace of Light Monastery from dawn until dusk with the goal of joining the order of the Spectrum Prism. Their mastery of light and glass allows them to perform spectacularly stunning and powerful magic.

In order to become a full-fledged Spectrum member and Prismologist, a spellcaster must craft their own Prism to use as a focus for their spells. Each summer solstice, future Prismologists journey from the Shimmer City to the deserts of Draykh Nahka to collect sand and create their own prism.

It is a challenging process involving facing multiple dragons in battle, heating the sand enough to become glass, and making it through the desert alive. Not many manage to complete the task, but those that do are a sight to behold.

The Prismologist belongs to the Life Splinter and he is an Epic card, which makes him more expensive. I do not play too much game with the Life Splinter, because whenever I try to rent them out it doesn't feel so solid like the other Splinters such as the Water or Earth. I feel like the Life Splinter doesn't have too much good quality monsters to protect their squishy ranged and magic creatures or they are just way too expensive.

This week's battle challenge features the Prismologist, so let's see her stats and abilities on all levels. 😁

image.png

The Prismologist has a very good ranged attack of three ony Level 1, but in exchange she has a very limited protection. The one point of Armor is very good to block a melee or ranged attack, but the four health is not going to last long enough for the following attacks. 😏

Her most important ability is the Blast on Level 1, which allows her to deal additional damage to Monsters adjacent to her target Monster. (The additional damage is equivalent to her main damage divided by 2, rounded up.)

On her Level 4 she will receive the Forcefield ability, which will makes this monster to take only 1 damage from attacks with power 5+. This ability is not really worth it, because there is so many monster has lower damage than 5. Maybe it is good in Champion league and such, but that is not my field of expertise at the moment. 😋

The Silence ability belongs to the best abilities in this game, because it will remove -1 magic damage to all enemy creatures. 😁

StandardNo modification to the standard gameplay rules and mechanics.

This battle was in Wild mode in lower league, where mostly only bots resides, but I wanted to try out how to defeat them with the Prismologist. 😉

My lineup and the decision behind it!

Summoner
General Sloan

image.png

The General Sloan is one of the best and cheapest Summoner in the Life Splinter, which gives +1 ranged attack to all of his friendly creatures. It is the perfect choice with the Prismologist, because he is a ranger as well and it will raise her attack to four. 😁

Main Tank
Gargoya Scrapper

image.png

I used the Gargoya Scrapper as the main tank in this game, which is funny to see the health of this monster. My main idea was that my opponent will bring mostly Sneaker monsters, so I have reinforced my backline instead of the front. 😉

De-buffer
Time Mage

image.png

The Time Mage has only one ablility on this Level, which comes quite handy, because she will reduce the speed of all enemy monsters. This might be game changing, because in lower levels whoever attack first has the bigger chance to win the battle. 😁

Main Damage Dealer
Pelacor Arbalest

image.png

The Pelacor Arbalest is the main damage dealer of this battle, because he is a very good combination with the General Sloan who will increase the damage of this bad boy to three. He has the Double Strike ability, which means that this monster is capable to attack twice in every round for three damage if he will not miss. 😇

Unfortunately this monster doesn't have any protection at all, so you need to hide him in the backline or provide some protection from different creatures.

Damage Dealer
Prismologist

image.png

The Prismologist is a very good monster in low mana battles, because the opponent can't bring high health monsters, so she will be able to use her Blast ability and damage multiple monsters in one attack. The only drawback is that she doesn't have too much protection as well, so need to place her well in out backline. 😊

Low mana cost backline Healer
Spirit Hoarder

image.png

The Spirit Hoarder has the Triage ability, which makes him an excellent backline supporter, because he will heal his friendly back-line monster that has taken the most damage.

Backline Tank
Pelacor Conjurer

image.png

Usually I use the Pelacor Conjurer in my frontline to protect my team, but this time I was expecting my opponent to bring some Sneakers, so I have decided to put him at the back of my team.

My opponent brought the same General Sloan summoner like me with a much more solid tank and setup than me. My main idea was to quickly damage down my opponent, so he wouldn't get any heal. I took the Time Mage to slow my opponent's monsters to ensure that I will attack first.

My strategy worked perfectly and luckily the Blast from the Prismologist killed their Creeping Ooze and my team became the first to attack. One full attack from our creatures was enough to kill his Shieldbearer otherwise he would get a heal from the Crystalsmith and would kill my mini tank.

At the end of the First Round there was a critical moment, which would make this battle a lose for me and that was the moment when his Xenith Archer missed her attack against my Pelacor Arbalest which allowed my Prismologist to be able to attack against their Crystalsmith killing it. The Blast ability took down his Pelacor Arbalest as well, which showed the true power of this monster and this ability. 💪

The rest of the battle was an easy win as my opponent didn't have anything left to win. 😇

My Win rate was around 40-45% and that is because of the miss from the Xenith Archer! 😁
