A variety of the already beautiful mandarinfish, the Angelic Mandarinfish is said to be blessed by the magic of the sea. They swim in the most gorgeous of tropical waters, and live peaceful lives in harmony with all around them. It is said that the touch of an Angelic Mandarinfish has healing properties. And that if one sees an injured person in need, they will swim up and stare into your eyes. As if looking into your soul. If they deem you to be kind, they will heal your wounds.

I love playing with the Water Splinter either with Alric or Kelya, both of them one of the best summoners in the game. I was happy to see featuring a water monster in this week's Battle Challenge and I was looking forward to get a battle with the Angelic Mandarin and create this post. 😊

In this new reward system there is a much more potential to rent better cards, because the SPS reward is enough to cover my expenses, but the bots are still there and making my life miserable. Many of them is playing with less than 1 percent Capture Rate and if I lose against them I am getting nothing and because the bot is playing with a very low Capture Rate he is getting nothing as well.

No idea why is this a good plan for them! 😵

Let's see his stats and abilities on all levels.

The Angelic Mandarin is not a really useful monster on low levels, because his stats are just okay for a low mana Ranged 🏹 monster, but he doesn't have any starter ability on Level 1. Everything is changing when you can level up him to Level 4, where he receives the abbility of Triage. (Heals the friendly back-line Monster that has taken the most damage.)

I believe this ability is slightly underrated in low leagues, because most of the monsters doesn't have too much Health ❤️ and they tend to die really quickly in order to receive heal from Triage. The other problem in low leagues is that not many monster has got this ability on Level 1 (only Doctor Blight, Mermaid Healer and Chanseus the Great), so it is difficult to set up a team around Triage.

The Triage ability shines the most in Gold League and above, where it provides a huge sustain in those long fights for your monsters in the back-line that are very powerful. 😎

Summoner
Kelya

Kelya is an amazing summoner and one of my favorite, because for 4 mana he gives +1 Speed 👟 and +1 Armor 🛡 to all of his monsters. In Splinterlands every point of Speed difference equals to 10 percent miss rate to the monster with lower Speed. For example a moster with 2 Speed attacks a monster with 3 Speed will miss his attack by 30% if there is no other modification on the monsters or on the battlefield. 😇

These abilities makes Kelya a superior pick against the other summoners and if you combine his powers to his monsters he will be truly unbeatable. 😂

Main Tank
Cruel Sethropod

The Cruel Sethropod is a low cost monster costing only 3 mana and if you see his stats they are quite okay on Level 5. I rented him in Gold Foil version to get an extra benefit of the 10% SPS reward from a winning battle. 🤑

This monster has got a huge Armor especially with Kelya, so it is an easy pick for me for a low mana battle like kind of this one. 😉

Support / Damage Dealer
Venari Wavesmith

When I started to play Splinterlands almost a year ago the Venari Wavesmith was the gateway to Silver League, because if you rented him or owned him he made your win rate significantly better than 50%.

His most important and only ability is Protect, which provides +2 Armor 🛡 to all of his friendly monsters. 💪 In a low mana fight or if the opponent doesn't bring any Magic 🔮 attack monsters this +2 Armor 🛡 is truly life changing.

Angelic Mandarin

The Angelic Mandarin is a monster that I never really used in lower leagues, such as Bronze and Silver, because he doesn't have any abilites in those levels. As soon as he receives the Triage there would be a new world and strategies opens up before you. 😎

100% Damage Dealer
Axemaster

The Axemaster was, is and always be one of the best damage dealer in the Water Splinter. 💪 His Double Srike ability enables him to attack twice in every round and deal 2x3 damage on Level 3, which is a lot of damage to destroy any kind of threat front of him. He has quite a high Speed 👟, which will support him well to secure a hit on his enemies. ☠️

I always try to include him into my teams and without him the Water Splinter would not be the same. 😊

Support Armorer
Scavo Hireling

The Scavo Armorer is a low mana cost Support and his only ability on Level 5 is Repair, which restores some armor to the friendly monster whose armor has taken the most damage. Unfortunately he doesn't have any type of attack, so his we need to make sure that he is well protected and he can do his magic repairs from the back. 😇

When I saw that my opponent brought a Level 2 Yodin and a Tenyii Striker and Living Lava I knew that I didn't have too much chance, because Yodin and his Blast ability could blow me out of the Water easily. 😱

My only chance was somehow manage to keep my tank (Cruel Sethropod) and damage dealer (Axemaster) alive long enough to kill their Living Lava. I had 3 monster as a support to mitigate their damage, but it is very difficult to prepare against Yodin's blast damage.

In the second round I managed to kill thier tank, because like I mentioned before the Axemaster is a GOD 😇 when it comes to damage!

I lost the Venari Wavesmith in the third round, because of the Blast, but my opponent also lost his Tenyii Striker. 😋

Afte that it was easy to secure the win. The 3 support worked like a charm helping and protecting each other perfectly. I would love to try this exact same setup against different team to see how it will perform, but for now I am very happy with the outcome. 😊
