RE: Will A Different Entry Point Incentives To P2E Games Drive Global Adoption?

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

Most of the games on hive like Dcity, Rising Star, and splinterlands have their ups and downs in terms of money that you can earn currently.

Last year, I was earning around 250$ in dcity in a month, now, it is around 20$. The market crash have halved my rising star earnings.

Sure there is money aspect in playing the games. And that's why I don't feel bad when I spend my time in understanding and playing these games.

When I used to play traditional games like PUBG, Call of Duty etc, sometimes I would feel like I was wasting my time, which could be well spent somewhere else.

Now, even though it's difficult to earn a substantial amount of money by playing these games(unless someone has invested a lot of time and money in these games), the small incentives to play these games is fun.
You can earn and invest it back into these games. And that's what I have been doing.
THe assets(NFT's) of these games, could easily 5-10x in the next few years.

That's where all the fun is.

It has been the winning formula for me as well, I read a post last week a Splinterlands player's asset is now worth more than 1 BTC tells you there's still more Splinterlands has got to offer and other P2E games if one can put in the time and patience.

I have a small card collection. Anything in dec I earn, I use it to rent cards, and have more fun to play. All the rewards in quest, and season end rewards increase my collection power.

I buy a few dollars worth of cards every now and then. Just small stuff, might give good returns in the next few years.

Even if they don't, I am happy that I am involved in something fun🙂
Doing your work, earning money, and spending it every month gets pretty boring sometimes😅

The fun part of Splinterlands is just amazing, you would think you are playing the same game over and over but the challenge to keep outsmarting your opponent, fighting for win streaks, the cards all just keeps me hooked. Splinterlands was out for about 4 hours 2 days ago and I missed the game because every now and then I pop in for a battle or two...

I'm not in it to make gains at the moment, who knows? I might be lucky in the future.

We are going to be lucky bro, we are doing our best by placing ourselves in good position to receive the rewards

Hahaaaaa 250$ in dcity? That's great I guess the market bubble contributed to this. Who would have thought that. Anyways even 20$ a month is still great. Because I am not really calculating how much I'm earning, I'm just keen to increasing everything by adding skin and also the little money I have as well.
As for games like PUGB, I think people who have earned through P2E might consider them to be useless same thing with me too. The incentives are small these days, I just go ahead to keep playing like you.
Nevertheless, thanks for that stunning comment. Added a lot of spice to the post.

DCity is a bit of a disappointment to me as well but I feel that Splinterlands and Rising Star are still doing well. At least their fiat value doesn't seem to have dropped too much lately and I find it easier to put them to work for some returns.

I have read that some fun things are coming up in dcity. Guilds, regions, religions etc. There was a recent announcement about that stuff.

I am sure that with these future developments, dcity will become quite interesting once again. I am accumulating small amounts of Sim tokens daily.
