SPLINTERLANDS- TALES FROM SILVER - DJINN APPRENTICE EDITION
Well, another week has begun and from the moment I woke up, I am feeling that Monday feeling but as the day passes my mood becomes slightly better knowing that I have plenty of interesting stuff to do. When the time comes I will reveal to you the new upcoming projects that I prepare for quite some time now. Let's get back to the game now because we have a review for a very interesting monster to write this time. The initiative for this post is the Share your Battle Challenge from @splinterlands and the highlighted monster for this week is Djinn Apprentice.
Review of the card
Djinn Apprentice is the highlighted card of this week and it's a card that I like to play quite often when I want to build a team with some Magic attack damage. Personally, I recommend using it at level 4 for the extra attack especially if you are grinding on Silver. It gets another upgrade at level 6 with the ability Deathblow, which means that does double damage if its target is the only monster on the battlefield.
The Battle
Ruleset
Unprotected: Monsters do not have armor or do not get armor from abilities or Summoner buffs.
Also, we've got a very high amount of MP to play (52) and we can play all classes except Life.
Summoner Selection
Pyre is the summoner that I am going to use in this battle and you know from previous posts that this is one of my favorite cards from Fire class. Well, the major reason that I prefer this summoner over others it's because I can rent it really cheap. I believe that the ability grants could make a difference in some situations and we are going to see if it can help us today with our mission. Usually, I use it at level 3 when I play on the Silver league.
Teams' Formation
Team presentation
Tusk the Wide is the monster I chose for the tank position in my formation. One of the major reasons that I chose this monster is his enormous HP and his ability of course Void. I believe that it's a perfect fit when you have to play with the rule Unprotected. The other stats it has it's not impressive but I just want to give me the necessary time to destroy my opponent's frontline.
The second card I used is Molten Ash Golem. The reason I played this card in this position was that I needed extra protection when my main tank would fall and I believe that it was a solid option. After I saw the formation I think I could play some other monster here with the Demoralize ability. The reasons that led me to play it in my formation was of course, his high HP and the ability Close Range means that this range attack monster could attack from the first position. The third monster I used in this formation was the highlighted monster that I had to play in order to participate in this challenge, the Djinn Apprentice. I really believe that this card helped me a lot in this battle because of his high damage and his decent Speed. Personally, I would use it anyway in this situation because I believe that it fits perfectly. The fourth card that I chose for this team was the Lava Launcher. Well, you could easily comment that with the unprotected rule this card loses much value and you would be probably right but you need to understand that I didn't believe that this card could end up in the first position. I needed the 3-range damage and the 3 Speed for this monster and to put extra pressure on my opponent's frontline. My fifth choice was Pyromancer and the reason I chose this card was the ability it has to Blast its damage. This card among with the other 2 next to it is the main source of damage that we've got. I really believe that this card adds a lot of value to our team with its stats.
The last place of the formation was filled by Ettin Spearman. There are several reasons that I chose this card to be in this position. The first one is that I needed his 3-range damage in order to break through his frontline more easily. The other reason is that I wanted to have a high HP monster at my backline because I wanted to make sure that enemy monsters could not penetrate my backline easily.Watch the Action!
