Which disease would you love to eliminate?| bone cancer
In today's world, there are a myriad of diseases, some of which are more common than others. If I had the opportunity to eliminate a disease, I would certainly choose bone cancer and metastasis. Bone cancer is a disease that affects thousands of people worldwide and often has a poor prognosis. This disease can have a devastating impact on the lives of those affected, be it through loss of mobility, chronic pain, or even death.
Two of my closest relatives suffered from it, my mother and my younger brother Cesar.
Both fought against this brutal disease without being able to succeed in the fight; What they lived through was terrifying suffering and we in the family also suffered when we saw how their lives deteriorated until they reached death.
Both of my relatives were also affected by metastasis, which is a complication of many cancers, including bone cancer. Primary tumors spread to other parts of the body through the blood or lymphatic vessels, creating new tumors in other organs. This can be very difficult to treat, as the tumors can grow rapidly and affect many parts of the body simultaneously.
Eliminating bone cancer and metastasis would also have a significant impact on the healthcare system, in that it would reduce the cost of treatment, allowing resources to be devoted to other treatments and diseases.
In addition, the elimination of bone cancer and metastasis would improve the social well-being of the affected people, since it would allow them to continue living a normal life without the fear of developing this disease.
This would also improve the quality of life of the relatives of the patients, because they would not have to worry about the health of their loved ones.
In conclusion, eliminating bone cancer and metastasis would have a great impact on the lives of many people, both individually and societally.
This disease is a threat to public health, so it should be one of the top priorities of the global medical community.
Bone cancer is treatable, but not curable. Treatments are used to control the growth of the cancer, relieve symptoms, and improve quality of life. The most common treatments for bone cancer include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, biologic drugs, and hormone therapy. The type of treatment you receive will depend on several factors, including the type of bone cancer, the age of the patient, and the location of the tumor
