Hive PUD on Spring Day - 1 September 2022

It's Spring Day here in the southern hemisphere, but doesn't feel like it at all as it's cold and we're experiencing awful icy winds! Spring flowers however are showing their pretty faces, so we'll soon be enjoying spending more time outdoors around the BBQ, at the beach, in the park, taking a walk, and enjoying the fresh air, before the heat of summer sets in when we long for the balmy Autumn days again; and so the circle continues!

August usually is a quiet month as far as bookings go in our BnB, but this month brought many inquiries which turned into bookings and in turn brought the happy sound of suitcase wheels as guests came and went.
Everyone is catching up with functions that were postponed during the scary lockdown periods, training, business ventures, expats visiting family, sporting events, and some even taking time out for leisure despite it still being chilly.
We've hardly had time to breathe, but it's been really good with truly wonderful folk coming here, which of course helped fill the coffers again after some tumultuous months.

What is Hive PUD all about, and who are the people who encourage and keep this awesome initiative alive?

The Queen Bee of Hive PUD, @traciyork, wrote a post last year in July and explained the whats and the whys, and I will summarise what she said, but take a peek there if you'd like to learn more.

What to do…

We know by now that those who are able, power up their Hive on the first day of the month. If you're powering down, please pause it for the 24-hour span of this day; and of course, do not trade or sell Hive during this period.

Why Power Up?

This briefly is what Traci shared from a blog that @nickeyhavey wrote –

• The more you power up, the more you will earn and the stronger your votes will become.
• You earn passive income by HODLING your Hive Power.
• You can also earn by delegating your Hive Power.

There are many initiatives and prizes to be won simply by participating in Hive PUD, and @traciyork keeps tabs on them, so pop over and read all about it in her POST.

The Power of Three

@fionasfavourites has been amazing in her support and encouragement of Redfish, and her initiative to delegate 100 Hive Power for 21 days to 3 qualifying accounts, inspired @coquicoin and me to join in and both also delegate 100 HP.

September Power up

I am happy to say I was able to power up 200 Hive this month, taking my little nest egg to 11,173HP.
It would have been double had I HODL'd more, but life happens, and Hive came to the rescue on more than one occasion, and for that, I am truly thankful!
