Portrait of my CLASSIC MINI in a PINK and BLUE SUNSET 🌄

Hi all 👋🏻

Today I want to share with you a portrait of my CLASSIC CAR/ MINI when I still lived in a little casita in the mountains of Iznájar, Coradoba Spain 🇪🇸
Shortly after I moved alone to Spain… and did this while driving in my classic mini from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 all the way to the south 🇪🇸

These photos are taken with my (late, as in died in Cuba) Canon eos 550D with 18 - 135 mm lens
It was a beautiful #spring #evening, THE SUN WAS SETTING… 🌄 on 29 March 2015.

When I saw the light was turning into pink, I grabbed my #camera and went outside. Walking up the steep hill next to the #casita I saw a #reflection on my mini.

So I walked further up until I was on the road.
I captured this close up of the #PINK and #BLUE #colours of the #sunset 🥰 in the front window.

Walking a bit further… the lonely road…
This was a mountain road and I would see maybe 3 cars in a week passing by. It was remote… just the way I like it 😎

Yes, my car still had the Dutch number plates here… it took me a while to get the Spanish plates 🤓

The beautiful sunset colours are getting more intense… slowly…

I capture some surrounding views 🌄

My car again 🥰 I loved this little car… I owned it 12 years an this was my 4th CLASSIC MINI.

Hope this will do @joetunex for some sunset captures, as I still haven’t had the time to go out here… 😉 late at night.

With some lonely trees… the colours of this evening stayed with me in my memories. It was such a pink and blue sky… #breathtakingly #stunning 🥰

i have been driving in a mini once back in 1989 i think ,i had to drive it to a garage for a friend , but i wouldn't buy one myself , i prefer more space around me while driving . I do like the sunset colours . have a great weekend Jackie

Pink skies are amazing. We get them here in Thailand but I'd never seen them so pink back home.

Now you're getting settled, you could get another 'proper' Mini. One with the steering wheel on the correct side of the car lol :-)

They are… I have seen them a few times in the Netherlands and Spain. Will keep an eye out for them here… who knows, maybe 😊

Hahaha !LOL this was a proper mini hahaha 🤣 and that wheel WAS on the Correct side hahaha 🤪

But joking aside…
Yep, was thinking about that lately. Now having no car, it would make sense to get something small in the long run anyway 😎

A couple days ago the sky here was full of pink clouds, I like it when the hues are muted like that.

Thank you kindly. Taking good care of it. I fixed and restored it myself bit by bit 😎 love working on classic cars. Wouldn’t work on a new car with all it’s electronics… hehe 🤭

My car is looking rather sad, but I'm thinking of turning it into a mobile art exhibit just because I can. I'm messing around with some ideas, I think it could be fun.

Sunsets like these remind me of my childhood, with my grandparents we loved to sit and see the different shades of the sky as night fell
I love that mini car, I would have liked to have one of them, but in this area, mini cups are very expensive.

It’s my favourite little car. They used to be cheap, but good ones… they are getting very expensive.

I love the golden hour skylight, Jackie, it is lovely and cool to the eyes, just like you I would have grabbed my camera and gotten the photograph thing going. This surely does it for a sunset post lol.

You are the remote, lol nice spot out there, hope the mountains didn't give you problems with network coverage.

Moments like these are so precious… the most beautiful things nature can show us. And I sure will enjoy them 🥰
(Here I hear thunder right now… big storm coming)

I like remote… hehe somehow I end up like that. The internet I had back then was very poor. Somedays I couldn’t work because no connection.
Now years later, I am so happy with my Starlink it helps in such situations.

Will have a look if I have more sunset photos… I love them, so why not post some.
Until I can go out and about here 🌄

Yes, it is common for places surrounded by mountains to have poor network coverage, I thought as much.

Oh, some heavy downpour maybe, perhaps you guys can do with some rain.

Great share them with us, they deserve a place on Hive 😉

Yes, the mountains. But also not many towns around, let alone cities… so not many people… they tend to not service those remote areas.

I don’t think Ireland has rain shortage. It is so lush and green here… almost 40 shades of green 😎
Will do once I have them sorted and edited.

Thank you so much, I enjoyed watching it between shores. We also had some thunder, but I didn’t see any lightning ⚡️

50 shades of green 😃, that is cool, it must be looking beautiful out there with colourful flowers.

It might rain here today, it has been 2 days without rain, so it is likely to rain, I think is is about a 60% chance of rain when I checked a day ago.

But here too… most of the next 10 days the weather app says rain 🌧️

I can imagine the feeling of wanting the go and explore, am sure you will be doing that soon with photos to share for us to see.

So most likely out of that 10 days it might you guys might get rain for about 5 days. Weather apps are like those predicting the price of Bitcoin, they are rarely correct, it tells me there will be rain in the morning today, no rain yet.

Oh I know… but this is Ireland. It is emerald green for a reason hehehe 🤭 it does rain a lot.
I will find out over time and can predict it better myself the longer I live here.
Yesterday even though it said 40% rain. It has been raining on and off all day. Even with thunderstorms and rainbows 🌈

I love those little cars. Too bad I had to sell her 2 years ago due to back problems… I could drive it anymore. No power steering or comfort.

That’s cool, also a cute little car.
Does he have a new mini or also the classic one.
This mini is from 1990. I also had one from 1984, 1995 and the last classic built in 2000.
