Welcome to my blog

The weekend is almost over, today I want to share my experience on a topic that caught my attention; and that is how to manage labor conflicts. Topic of the week 229, brought to us by @galenpk

The main question is the following.

How do you manage conflicts in the workplace?

I have always thought that the workplace should be a place full of harmony and above all to get along very well with the work team. It is very unpleasant to be in a place where you share a little more than 5 hours of work in discord. In my country we generally work 8 hours a day, but in my job I only work one shift.

I work in education and it is said that it is a very difficult profession, since there are many people who like to put others in a bad light. Of course they are not all, but it is seen in many cases.

As part of how I handle labor conflicts; the first thing I always do is to remain calm and never put myself at the level of the person who wants to form the conflict.

I am in charge of a computer center and I know what my duties are very specific in this space. One day a person approached me to ask for support, but in an arrogant way, at that time the space did not have the resources to be able to provide that help. The person was annoyed and in his words he wanted to give me to understand that there were people more willing than me. Those words bothered me but I never lost my control and I took things calmly and responded with professionalism and education.

Adversities will always be present and in the workplace there are many more, either by envy, ego or other personal reasons. But we must always be stronger than those people who seek an imbalance in your work space. Always keeping calm and not putting yourself at the height of the other, has given me more results than exploding with anger or rage. This has allowed me to come out on top, and my work is well recognized by many people who know what kind of staff I am.

This is my participation for this week, I say goodbye and see you next time.
