What are your saving for?

I am saving to buy a house.

Actually, that is two different questions (needing two different answers).

I am saving for retirement. That is what my Hive activities are focused on. I want to, at some point, be able to have enough monthly income from my cyber activities to at least supplement my retirement in a few years.

My next "bigger thing" is solar panels for my house. However, in theory, that shouldn't cost me anything. I will be purchasing them on a payment plan where my payments should be about the same as my current monthly electric charges. I will effectively be buying the panels instead of paying for electric service and providing my own electrical needs. When the panels are paid off in seven to ten years, I will no longer have an electric bill (thereby reducing my retirement living expenses) or possibly even getting money back from the electric company.

I always saved my money for travelling but this time I'll give my savings for charity as i know a poor girl in my real life and she needs money for something else and i always helped her financially 🙂

I am saving for a new car, depending on the bull market will decide what car I will get :D

I am retired. I am savings to establish an emergency fund so that if an unexpected expense occurs and it is larger than my established emergency savings, I will not be stressed when it happens because I know it will easily be covered. It is like an extra security net.

What are you saving for? What is the next bigger thing that you plan to buy?

My goal is to generate $1000 USD in monthly dividends, to supplement our income. That would require 60K in HBD savings. If HIVE were valued at about $10, this could be accomplished immediately, but with current prices, it will take about 10 - 15 years to get there at my current growth.

I am saving for either a new car or a Bemer (not BMW). I car is getting older and starting to have minor issues. Whenever I need to replace it, I want to have the money saved up to buy another car for cash. If it hangs around for a while, I'll look into a Bemer. I have problems with my knees and a Bemer is a magnetic medical device which helps with blood circulation that helps with my joints.

Saving for my retirement, and if possible to create own business before retirement

I am in dire need of some peripherals like a headset and a new mouse, mine are pretty shabby and don't even work very well, making some easy tasks we do on the computer difficult. Another thing I need is a bigger and better mousepad, mine is very dirty and even cleaning it, the dirt still remains, getting in the way of using the mouse.

I'm saving up to buy a whale from Hive.

For my retirement but there is still a long way to go.

I'm just...saving. No specific target at all.

I'll probably end up using my savings to purchase a house upfront in the next 5-10 years or so. But, right now, me and wife have no willing to settle down in a place as we're still moving around the country due work reasons.

So it's saving for the sake of saving!

I am saving for land release in Splinterlands. If it is delayed long enough or prices drop, I am looking for a magical plot.

I'm saving up just for life right now. Nobody knows what will happen but right now I'm in the stage of my life where I should be building capital. At some point in the near future I would like to buy a plot of land in Mexico though.

I am saving for my and my wife's old age, also investing in HIVE because it seems to me that it is going to be a project that will give a lot to talk about in the not too distant future and its currencies will skyrocket when people understand more about blockchain technology.
I also hope to be able to buy a vehicle soon.

I would want to save to be financially free. I just don't know how I would invest yet to get there. At some point, I wouldn't mind having a house either as a place to stay or to rent out.

I don't have anything specific that I'm saving for. I do have several categories that I set aside money for every month, ie, food, travel, entertainment, random stuff.

Another property perhaps? It's not really a target though. I'm just putting idle money into stocks and such and waiting for the property market to cool down (in my country).

Saving! That really would be a great idea... and there are so many things it would be for: a home if the market improves, dental work, my child's future, a new computer, et cetera ad infinitum.

I've been working through a few things, so I'm just about ready to get into a better gear. Wish me luck! 😏

I am saving up for a medium format camera along with a couple of medium format lens.

I couldn't say I was saving anything. Maybe just that I have two children, one of whom is going to college and I will have to pay for his schooling, and the other one is going to art high school and I will have to pay for his schooling as well. I'll see if I have anything left. 😐

Saving for a couple of things: Entertainement money that can be used for trips/leisure etc... and Real Estate money that will be used to purchase a house when I will get enough (let's dream big and say that it can be done through Hive) 🙌

Saving to buy a dump truck in cash. We want to develop the property which we bought a year ago and the truck is needed for all the hauling and other stuff :D

I'm saving up to acquire a quality coffee machine and grinder, which could total nearly SGD10k. This expenditure might seem a bit indulgent, but my passion for coffee and desire to explore some home barista techniques are driving me. I'm committed to saving up for this purchase and plan to use only the amount accumulated from my discretionary funds 😊

I have never cashed out anything from Hive, I am saving
it all for when it's time to retire so I have some extra
money coming in.

Nothing for now. I plan to keep accumulating Hive and HBD

House and economic-free at least for daily necessities like food and some stuff. The next bigger thing? I think those 2 are still the main plan that I need to achieve before considering anything else 🤣

They say that if you dream, you should dream big. That if your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough. !LOL I'd love to buy a place where I can build a home for me, my garden, and my pets. Right now, nothing specific. I do intend to be financially free so that I can work my job as I please, rather than feel constrained by finances, and be able to spend reasonable amounts of recreational money without having to be concerned about meeting basic needs on a day-to-day basis. Of course, I am expecting that it'll take me at least a few decades to reach this point... Time is key here!
