Chicken croquettes, with grandma's flavor / Croquetas de pollo, con el sabor de la abuela
Hello friends of Foodie Bee Hive, today I bring you a delicious recipe for chicken croquettes. In my house I like croquettes very much, especially my son, whom his grandmother, my mom, always pleases. This time I wanted to be the one to prepare them. I also like them very much, jjjj, and I have tried to give them that touch that my mother gives them and that makes them so delicious, although my way of preparing them differs a little from her, the taste is quite similar. I like to make the bechamel sauce and dilute in it all the flour to make a delicious cream with nutmeg and introduce the chicken in it, getting a delicate and soft dough. Without further ado, I tell you how I made them and the ingredients I used.
Hola amigos de Foodie Bee Hive, hoy les traigo unas deliciosa receta de Croquetas de pollo. En mi casa gustan mucho las croquetas, sobre todo a mi hijo, a quien su abuela, mi mamá, siempre complace. Esta vez he querido ser yo quien las prepare. A mí también me gustan mucho, jjjj, y he intentado darles ese toque que les da mi madre y que las hace tan deliciosas, aunque mi manera de preparalas difiere un poco de ella las hace, el sabor es bastante parecido. Me gusta hacer la bechamel y diluir en ella toda la harina para hacer una deliciosa crema con nuez moscada e introducir el pollo en ella, consiguiendo una masa delicada y suave. Bueno sin más preámbulos, les cuento cómo las hice y los ingredientes que utilicé.
Ingredients
- 1/4 large chicken
- 1 cup of wheat flour
- 1 onion
- 6 garlic cloves
- 2 oregano leaves
- 200 ml oil
- 1 egg
- 1 cup bread flour
- Cumin
- Nutmeg
- Pepper
- Salt
- Some leftover sauce from a chicken prepared the day before.
Ingredientes
- 1/4 de pollo grande
- 1 taza de harina de trigo
- 1 cebolla
- 6 dientes de ajo
- 2 hojas de orégano
- 200 ml de aceite
- 1 huevo
- 1 taza de harina de pan
- Comino
- Nuez moscada
- Pimienta
- Sal
- Un poco de salsa sobrante de un pollo preparado el día anterior.
Preparation / Preparación:
In a pot, I put to boil the 1/4 chicken. Meanwhile, I chopped the vegetables to prepare the sofrito.
En una olla, puse a hervir el 1/4 de pollo. Mientras, piqué las verduras para preparar el sofrito.
When the chicken was cooked, I removed it from the heat and let it cool. Meanwhile, I prepared the béchamel sauce as follows.
In a saucepan, I poured a little oil and added the wheat flour. I let it cook until it smells like almonds, that is the moment to add the milk, stirring constantly so that no lumps form, then add salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Cuando el pollo estuvo cocido, lo retiré del fuego y dejé que se enfriara. Mientras, preparé la bechamel de la siguiente manera.
En una cacerola, vertí un poco de aceite y añadí la harina de trigo. Lo dejé cocer hasta que huela a almendras, ese es el momento de añadir la leche, removiendo constantemente para que no se formen grumos, luego añadir sal, pimienta y nuez moscada.
Desmenucé el pollo y, con las verduras ya cortadas, preparar el sofrito. Introduje las masas de pollo y añadir la salsa que ha sobrado del pollo preparado el día anterior. Le añadí un poco de comino, pimienta y sal.
Introduje el pollo en la bechamel y ponlo al fuego hasta que la masa empiece a separarse de las paredes de la sartén, lo que indica que está listo.
Retiré la masa del fuego y la dejé enfriar , tomé porciones para hacer las croquetas.

Pasé las croquetas por huevo y harina de pan, las coloqué en la cesta de la freidora y freír a 120°C (250°F) durante 5 minutos.
Al terminarse de freir las coloco en una fuente y las acompaño con un aderezo aromatizado con hojas de orégano. ¡Y ya están listos para degustar! En este caso, fue la merienda ideal para mi hijo.

Quedaron riquísimas, aquí la reina de las croquetas es mi mamá y quedó encantada cuando probó las mías, los demás las debitaron enseguida principalmente mi hijo jjj
