The genus Conocephalus is an interesting group of bush grasshoppers, they are known for the long antennae that stick out of their heads, this species belongs to the tettigoniidae family and is often found in bush or grassland areas throughout the world, these animals have the ability to produce sounds by means of rubbing against them and believed to be one method of communication when calling a mate, further observations of this species could provide interesting insights into the lives and behavior of insects in the wild.

some general characteristics of the Genus Conocephalus include a slender body, bright body color and long antennae, and usually their antennae exceed the length of their body size, these antennae function as an important tool in navigation and communication, physically, the Genus Conocephalus bush grasshoppers have different colors and patterns which usually adapt to their environment, this helps them to protect themselves from predators in the wild or the world of insects.

and what most attracts the attention of researchers is the way Conocephalus produces sounds, namely by rubbing its wings or this is better known as the "stridulation method", namely rubbing the upper wings with the bottom of them simultaneously to get different sounds for certain situations. and usually these sounds serve for pair communication, showing territorial ownership and even to intimidate their rivals.

Ecologically, these grasshoppers are believed to be more active at night (noctural) but there are also several species that are active during the day, but generally you will easily find them from 16.40 to all night, to survive and grow they eat all types of plants and insects small, apart from that this unique grasshopper is also active behind the leaves of dense bushes, so if you are interested in finding them then you can look for damp bushes.
