We fight the dark
The darkness - Defeated
The art we craft
We pass on the spirit

The time we spent
Giving without receiving
The love we spread
Truthfully without deceiving

Like a circle
It's coming to us
Working - Waiting patiently
No talking - Coming back to me

I don't spread my thoughts
Underneath the sun
I don't let my words
Be carried by the wind

I'm done trying to reach the stars
Or hunting the clouds
Trying to catch the wind
Or chasing after clowns

Finally…. After being generous
Someone is being generous to me

I can't help but to consider this poem in the light of a poet that never receives any feedback on their poems. They say you get from art what you bring to it. So that's what I pulled. I feel like you do a good job of capturing the feeling of giving until becoming dejected and then...receiving. great write.
