For weeks, I haven't been able to log into my OpenSea account. https://opensea.io/LightCaptured

Thus I did not have access to my NFTs there and they went out of sale.

Every time I was clicking on the connect MetaMask button (screenshot below) I've been redirected to the MetaMask wallet download page, it seemed like https://opensea.io/LightCaptured did not detect MetaMask is installed on my browser.

I spent quite some time looking for a fix to this problem. There are several articles and YouTube videos that claim to have the solution.

None of these worked:

• disconnecting OpenSea from MetaMaks and reconnecting it

• reinstalling MetaMask browser plugin

• deleting browser cache and cookies and restarting the browser (don't ask me how much time I spent after this setting all my favorite sites and setting)

• trying to connect a different wallet and then returning to MetaMask (suggested by several sources)

After banging my head for hours, I found a forum post by a user...

...who said OpenSea can't detect MetaMask for him because he had installed other wallets as browser plugins.

I checked mine and there was this old Wombat wallet I haven't used in awhile... boom! Plugin removed from the browser and I was instantly able to login back to my account. https://opensea.io/LightCaptured
