I don't speak Spanish and they didn't speak English

However, as you see, this was not an obstacle at all to have that unspoken mutual consent to create this lovely couple portrait, while they were sitting on the back of their family horse. I am a trustworthy guy, hehehe! Don't be fooled, the horse was huge. It's just that I am also tall, LOL :)

While traveling Andalusia, without being planned, we've ran into probably one of the most colorful festivals I've ever attended to.

Happy people, stunning dresses, a lot of social interaction under the sun light of the hot afternoon in Cordoba, Spain.

From my perspective of a photographer with many years of experience, travel portraits of strangers are of the most difficult and challenging to take.

Inside the studio it is easy to set up multiple lights, proper quantity and quality of the lighting, angles, etc. Usually I have enough time to relief the stress and ease the model or the models so they pose more naturally and we get to those desired portraits as a result. Shoot, discuss, make changes, enhance, there is usually time to loop through this a few times.

Outside, on the street... a completely different story. The photographer usually has one chance. Then the bird of chance flies away from the shoulder ;) So better be well prepared and equipped.
