Alhambra Magic - Travel with LightCaptured
Four words that would describe the magic I was dipped into, are Alhambra, Granada, Andalusia, Spain.
I should probably also put here lots of adjectives to properly describe my oversaturated feelings from that scenery few hours walk within this architectural marvel.
But which adjectives should I use? Beautiful? Amazing? Breathtaking? None of those, even the combination of them all isn't enough, in my humble opinion.
I've spent some time in Granada but I wouldn't miss a visit to this place. Yes, it takes some time and physical efforts to walk up that steep hill and here, breaking a sweat is totally worth it, take my word!
So, look up or look straight, or look down. There is always something to surprise you and put a particle of the universe in you.
It is not simply a place to water your thirsty mouth. It would rather fill your mind with beauty.
You could feel here the presence of the past kings, princes and princesses.
Touch eternity while having a minute rest under the shadows of the century-old trees.
Or just enjoy how curves, shapes and angles all fit together.
Feel the influences of the several cultures that left their roots here.
Yes, such a place needs a solid protection.
Cause, yeah, people haven't changed that much, have they?
Nevertheless, let's leave the reflections for another time and just enjoy.
Here, even the crowds of curious travelers and visitors will not bother you.
As there are myriad of places to just step aside and chill, in total peace.
That security detail is a prove of that, don't you think?
Remnants of Time...
... and other tow guardians of Time.
Wow, just wow. Almost everything leaves me speechless!
Finally, I hugged a tree,
I passed through that solid door, covered in traces of time,
... and I disappeared into the labyrinth of amazing garden stories...
You probably know by now how much I love Black & White or sometimes referred as Monochromatic photography. I have always believed that while Color Photography shows the external part of our world, Black and White Photography shows the soul, the inner hidden side of everything. Please consider the first photo of this post as my entry today to the established #monomad daily contest by the monochromes account and community and supported by the qurator account, thank you everyone for your hard and continuous efforts to build and grow this great community!

Wow, I’m not surprised you were speechless 😶. Bloody awesome stuff. That 3rd image is my fave as well as the two trees with the wall lamp between and the others too just awesome. Inwould have been giddy with happiness snapping monochrome there. Grrr jealous
Thanks, mate. Really one extraordinary city. A friendly advice... don't plan for less than three days, so much to see and experience and time... never enough :)
I can see why that would be the case. Hmmm I do love a city break hmmmmm brain is clunking away. Might look into a trip here early in the year
Yeah, summers, I imagine, could be too hot but early spring, or late autumn... ;)
Yup that would work beautifully. Hmmm birthday in Feb, could treat myself. I can see a plan forming hehe
Lovely. I've been to Valencia in February, the weather was perfect to be outside during the whole days :)
Stunning! I saw a documentary about the Alhambra last week, and although I lived super close to the Alhambra for about a year, I was never able to visit it in that time. I was amazed by the beauty and the fines that can be found there. I plan on visiting it in the next year or so. Thanks for sharing these beauties in black and white!

Oh, really, such a pity to be close and miss it. You won't regret going there, I hope :)
Thanks a lot!
Yes, the thing was I had a back injury and could not walk for very long, we had no transportation and the busses coming to our town just outside of Granada often didn't have the option to get in with the stroller (we had a baby with us). So daytrips weren't done much at the time, lol. Things have changed now so I definitely plan on visiting that when we are in the area because I was really amazed by what I saw, especially how they managed to build that water system how water flows through the area, amazingly done!
Oh, I get the picture now. Glad to see you're better and fingers crossed your plan works and you visit this unique place! You're totally right, there are plenty of amazing stuff there :)
