My life my culture
Hey guys🤗. Thank you all for the massive engagement on my last post I really appreciate.
Today I will share with you my experience at my last model shoot which depict my culture as a proud Edo state babe that I am.
First of all, let me let you in on what my culture is all about, I am from Edo state and my village was originated from the city of Benin. I will tell you about IGUEBEN (which is my village).
When I was quite young my father told me a story of how IGUEBEN came to be. IGUEBEN came from two word IGUE which mean camp in Benin and EBEN who was the name of the builder of the camp. Long ago war broke out between the Oba of Benin and Attah of Idah. The leader of the Benin warrior was Esigie and under his leadership was a man called EBEN. On their quest to pursue and fight the enemy they stopped at an unknown location to eat and gather their strength for what was before them. On their way back they realized that the particular location where they had stayed to recuperate had grown yams from what they had eaten and left over and when they had dug up, excessively large tuber of yam was obtained.
Amazed by how the yam grew well with no farmer’s supervision and how fertile the land was EBEN decided to stay and sent Esigie to the oba of Benin to request that he stayed and that’s how IGUEBEN came to existence.
Wonderful story right. And that’s what I represent as a fine Edo babe lol. History is what I love and I feel so excited to share a little about my culture with you.The pictures you see are a result of late night work and tireless people putting their head together to make this shoot a success. Working on this shoot was really amazing and also stressful. Imaging working for eight hours without eating (stressful right) but it was worth it and I will do it again and again because modeling is what I love to do anytime and anywhere.
The makeup artist whose name is Naomi was really sweet and nice to. She’s very delicate and at the same time professional when she works. She works like as if every stroke of brush has a meaning of elegance to it and every pattern of color applied on your face signifies beauty. It really is a pleasure to work with her to create magic each and every time.
The beautiful stylist who was the absolute best tendered to my dress and hair with care. As she placed each bead on my hair all that could come to my mind was that I am the priceless jewel and no one can tell me otherwise (and that’s on period lol). And finally the photographer Mr. lucky who was always there to make me laugh knowing fully well I was tired and needed to be cheered on to give him pose for him to take pictures of me. Honestly I would say it was amazing working with these three. And I can’t wait to do it again.
Thank you for reading so far. Please give me a follow and I will follow back and also tell me what you think in the comment section. Love you

As a child of Edo,
When I tell people that my state has one of the most beautiful cultures in the whole world, they say I'm being biased but posts like this prove my point...
