The First Anti-Bot Proposal Aproved! I Am Preparing to Move to Modern Format by Buying/Upgrading Chaos Legion Legendary Cards
Those who have read my previous posts on Splinterlands know well my passion for Splinterlands and know equally well my opinion about the use of bots.
Splinterlands was my first blockchain-based game and is still, almost four years after my first game battle, my favourite blockchain-based game.
In any Player Vs Player game, the most weight and consideration should always be in favour of the players and not the bots and that is why I am very happy that proposal number 28 (Splinterlands will try to implement anti-bot measures in Modern format) passed the 66.67% threshold and was approved with the final result of 74% votes in favour.
Obviously I have nothing against those who use bots because bots have been tolerated and allowed by Splinterlands, but I have always considered the extreme tolerance to the use of bots a choice that could have brought big problems to Splinterlands in view of a future perspective.
Having a league where bots are allowed and a league where they are not is in my opinion a first step to balance a situation that had favoured bots more than players.

Development in the Splinterverse continues and there are two new game projects in development:
- Soulkeep (Splinterlands Tower Defense)
- Genesis League Goals.
I have invested in both the Soulkeep project (167 Nightmare packs) and the Genesis League Goals project (110 GMLSPA Packs) and I look forward to the time when they will be playable but at the same time **I hope that in these two new games the choice will be made not to allow bots!
I currently play in the Ranked Battles of the Wild Format but when Splinterlands implements the anti-bots measures I will immediately move to the Modern Format.
When I move to Modern Format I won't be able to use some cards from the Beta edition that I use a lot in Wild Format such as Daria Dragonscale, Delwin Dragonscale, Gold Dragon, Ruler of the Seas, Gelatinous Cube, Prismatic Energy, Crustacean King but I will be able to:
- rent or use my Beta cards in the plots of my lands when phase 1.5 starts
- always play with real players
I think and hope to gain more advantages than disadvantages from my choice especially on the entertainment side.
While waiting for Splinterlands to adopt and implement the anti-bot measures in Modern Format I have decided to move forward by speeding up the operation of increasing the battle strength of my card collection by focusing
- only on cards playable in Modern Format
- starting with upgrading the cards I use most frequently in battle and that are not at maximum level.
In order to increase the battle strength of my card collection I currently have a limited budget to invest because in my in-game wallet I have 384K DEC of which I can only use 234K DEC because 150K DEC I will need to work 15 cards in my 3 land plots:
- 5 worker cards per plot
- 10K DEC per max level worker card = 150K DEC
With only 234K DEC available to buy/upgrade today I have to make some thoughtful and not very expensive choices.
The first card I chose to upgrade to max level is Chaos Dragon.
Chaos Dragon is a legendary card that is particularly useful in High Mana battles.
It has four very good abilities and has a magic attack of three points already starting at level 1.
In my collection I have:
- 1 Chaos Dragon level 2 (3 BCX)
- 1 Chaos Dragon level 1 (1 BCX)
- 1 Chaos Dragon level 1 (1 BCX)
To reach my upgrade goal, I need to purchase 6 BCX.
I chose to do this upgrade immediately also because there was 1 level 3 (=6 BCX) Chaos Dragon on the market with a really low cost per BCX: $3,703 per BCX.
In fact, $3,703 per BCX is very close to the lowest price per BCX ($3,603) recorded on the market considering a time interval of 60 days.
I therefore decided to immediately purchase 1 Chaos Dragon level 3 at a total cost of $22.22.
I made the purchase from MonsterMarket and spent 27054.66 DEC and received a cashback of 811.64 DEC.
In the current season I am still in the Gold I league but when I reach Diamond III league I will be able to use Chaos Dragon to its full potential with an extra magic attack point (3->4) and with the Blind ability that increases the chance for all enemy cards to miss an attack on my cards by +15%.
Also according to the rating score calculated by https://www.splinterguide.com/card/chaos_dragon Chaos Dragon is a card that plays very well in Gold+ leagues, which are exactly the leagues I play in.
The second card I chose to upgrade to the highest level is another legendary card: Countess Sinash.
Countess Sinash at max level has 5 abilities and is especially useful in battles that have a lot of mana available and where the battle rule is Going To Distance.
When used with my favourite summoner, Byzantine Kitty, Countess Sinash will have:
- a final speed of 7 points and will be really hard to eliminate
- will acquire the True Strike ability and will always hit the opponent's cards with every attack.
I also found a very affordable price per BCX for Countess Sinash: $1.94 per BCX.
Before buying a card, I always like to take a look at the card's price history chart first.
The price at which I found Countess Sinash for sale today was the lowest price per BCX in a 60-day timeframe, which is why as with Chaos Dragon I decided to make the purchase immediately.
I spent $21.35 = 26149.41 DEC and received a cashback of 784.48 DEC.
Countess Sinash's only weakness is her low life points (4) but I could use her in combination with a card with the Taunt ability to put in first position to grant Countess Sinash more rounds without being attacked by magic or melee attack cards.
My third upgrade goal is to upgrade Uriel The Purifier to maximum level.
In my card collection I have Uriel the Purifier level 2 = 3 BCX.
To reach my upgrade goal I need to buy 8 BCX.
The price per BCX on the market is almost the lowest recorded in a 180 day time span.
To buy 8 BCX I spent $17.81 = 29329.50 DEC and received a cashback of 879.88 DEC.
Today I also completed two upgrade objectives that I had set some time ago and which cost relatively little.
I upgraded Djinn Biljka from level 3 to maximum level.
I have upgraded Iza the Fanged from level 3 to maximum level.
With the purchases I made today, I increased the battle strength of my card collection for the Diamond+ leagues of the Modern Format.

La proposta anti-bot è passata e mi sto preparando a passare al formato Modern acquistando/potenziando le carte leggendarie dell'edizione Chaos Legion
Chi ha letto i miei precedenti post su Splinterlands conosce bene la mia passione per Splinterlands e conosce altrettanto bene la mia opinione sull'utilizzo dei bots.
Splinterlands è stato il mio primo gioco basato su blockchain ed è ancora oggi, dopo quasi quattro anni dalla mia prima battaglia di gioco, il mio gioco basato su blockchain preferito.
In qualsiasi gioco Player Vs Player il peso e la considerazione maggiore dovrebbe essere sempre a favore dei players e non dei bots ed è per questo motivo che sono davvero contento che la proposta numero 28 (Splinterlands will try to implement anti-bot measures in Modern format) ha superato la soglia del 66.67% di voti favorevole e che è stata approvata con il risultato finale del 74% di voti a favore.
Ovviamente non ho nulla contro chi usa i bots perchè sono stati tollerati e consentiti fino ad ora da Splinterlands ma ho sempre considerato l'estrema tolleranza all'uso dei bots una scelta che avrebbe potuto portare grandi problemi a Splinterlands in ottica di una prospettiva futura.

Lo sviluppo nello Splinterverse continua e ci sono due progetti di nuovi giochi che sono in fase di sviluppo:
- Soulkeep (Splinterlands Tower Defense)

Ho investito sia nel progetto Soulkeep (167 Nightmare packs) che nel progetto Genesis League Goals (110 GMLSPA Packs) e non vedo l'ora di poter provare e giocare questi due giochi ma allo stesso tempo spero che in questi due nuovi giochi verrà fatta la scelta di non permettere l'utilizzo dei bots!
Io attualmente gioco nelle Ranked Battles del Formato Wild ma quando Splinterlands applicherà le misure anti-bots mi sposterò immediatamente nel Modern Format.
Quando mi sposterò nel Modern Format non potrò usare alcune carte dell'edizione Beta che uso molto nel Wild Format come ad esempio Daria Dragonscale, Delwin Dragonscale, Gold Dragon, Ruler of the Seas, Gelatinous Cube, Prismatic Energy, Crustacean King ma potrò:
- noleggiare o utilizzare le mie carte Beta nei plots delle mie lands quando inizierà la fase 1.5
- giocare sempre con giocatori reali
Penso e spero di ottenere più vantaggi che svantaggi da questa mia scelta.
Nell'attesa che Splinterlands adotti e applichi le misure anti-bot nel Modern Format io ho deciso di portarmi avanti velocizzando l'operazione di aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte focalizzandomi:
- solo sulle carte giocabili nel Modern Format
- iniziando dall'upgrade delle carte che uso con più frequenza in battaglia e che non sono al livello massimo.
Per aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte ho al momento un limitato budget da investire perchè nel mio in-game wallet ho 384K DEC di cui posso utilizzare solo 234K DEC perchè 150K DEC mi serviranno per mettere a lavorare 15 carte nei miei 3 land plots:
- 5 worker cards per plot
- 10K DEC per worker card = 150K DEC
Con solo 234K DEC disponibili per fare acquisti/upgrade oggi devo fare delle scelte ponderate e non molto costose.
La prima carta che ho scelto di portare al massimo livello è Chaos Dragon.
Chaos Dragon è una carta leggendaria particolarmente utile nelle High Mana battles.
Ha quattro ottime abilità e ha un attacco magico di tre punti già a partire dal livello 1.
Nella mia collezione ho:
- 1 Chaos Dragon di livello 2 (3 BCX)
- 1 Chaos Dragon di livello 1 (1 BCX)
- 1 Chaos Dragon di livello 1 (1 BCX)
Per raggiungere il mio obiettivo di upgrade devo acquistare 6 BCX.
Ho scelto di fare subito questo upgrade anche perchè sul mercato c'era 1 Chaos Dragon di livello 3 (=6 BCX) con un costo per BCX davvero basso: 3.703$ per BCX
Infatti 3.703$ per BCX è un prezzo di vendita molto vicino al prezzo più basso per BCX (3.603$) registrato sul mercato considerando un intervallo di tempo di 60 giorni.
Ho quindi deciso di acquistare subito 1 Chaos Dragon di livello 3 al costo totale di 22.22$.
Ho effettuato l'acquisto dal mercato di MonsterMarket e ho speso 27054.66 DEC e ho ricevuto un cashback di 811.64 DEC.
Nella stagione in corso sono ancora nella lega Gold I ma quando raggiungerò la lega Diamond III potrò utilizzare Chaos Dragone al suo massimo potenziale con un punto di attacco magico in più (3->4) e con l'abilità Blind che aumenta del +15% le probabilità per tutte le carte nemiche di mancare un attacco alle mie carte.
Inoltre in base al punteggio di rating calcolato dal sito https://www.splinterguide.com/card/chaos_dragon Chaos Dragon è una carta che gioca molto bene nelle leghe Gold+ che sono proprio le leghe in cui gioco io.
La seconda carta che ho scelto di portare al massimo livello è un'altra carta leggendaria: Countess Sinash.
Countess Sinash di livello massimo ha 5 abilità ed è particolarmente utile nelle battaglie che hanno molti mana a disposizione e in cui la regola di battaglia è Going To Distance.
Quando la utilizzerò con il mio evocatore preferito, Byzantine Kitty, Countess Sinash avrà:
- una velocità finale di 7 punti e sarà davvero difficile da eliminare
- acquisirà l'abilità True Strike e colpirà sempre le carte avversarie ad ogni attacco.
Ho trovato anche per Countess Sinash un prezzo per BCX molto conveniente: 1.94$ per BCX.
Prima di acquistare una carta mi piace sempre dare prima un'occhiata al grafico Price History della carta.
Il prezzo a cui ho trovato oggi in vendita Countess Sinash era il prezzo per BCX più basso in un arco temporale di 60 giorni e per questo motivo come per Chaos Dragon ho deciso di effettuare subito l'acquisto.
Ho speso 21.35$ = 26149.41 DEC e ho ricevuto un cashback di 784.48 DEC
L'unico punto debole di Countess Sinash è costituito dai pochi punti vita (4) ma potrei utilizzarla in combinazione con una carta con l'abilità Taunt da mettere in prima posizione per garantire a Countess Sinash più round di gioco senza subire attacchi da carte con attacco magico o da mischia.
Il mio terzo obiettivo di upgrade è portare Uriel The Purifier al livello massimo.
Nella mia collezione di carte ho Uriel the Purifier di livello 2 = 3 BCX.
Per raggiungere il mio obiettivo di upgrade devo acquistare 8 BCX.
Il prezzo per BCX sul mercato è quasi il più basso registrato in un intervallo di tempo di 180 giorni.
Per acquistare 8 BCX ho speso 17.81$ = 29329.50 DEC e ho ricevuto un cashback di 879.88 DEC.
Oggi ho completato anche due obiettivi di upgrade che avevo fissato tempo fa e che hanno avuto un costo relativamente basso.
Ho portato Djinn Biljka di livello 3 al livello massimo.
Ho portato Iza the Fanged di livello 3 al livello massimo.
Con gli acquisti che ho effettuato oggi ho aumentato la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte per le leghe Diamond+ del Modern Format.

Nice cards! maximum level is my dream to reach one day, a question, what do you think is more viable, focus on CL summoners or cards, since the most used summoners nowadays are the soulbound ones?
Hi I focus on both cards and summoners. My goal is to have at least one maxed summoner of each element plus 2-3 maxed summoners of the dragon element. For example, the soulbounds summoners I use very little because they are not yet leveled up enough for Gold+ leagues. I think those who play in silver leagues can concentrate on cards first if they have soulbound summoners of the maximum level for the league.

Magari mi sbaglio, ma secondo me in Modern è un po' più facile arrivare nelle leghe più alte, per cui ci sta che, a differenza di quanto avveniva nel formato Wild, ti riesca finire la season molto più alto! Forse arriverai anche in Diamante I ed avrai così raggiunto il tuo obiettivo :)

Penso che hai ragione perchè nel test che avevo fatto per due stagioni di giocare in entrambi i formati ho sempre raggiunto la lega Diamond prima nel Modern che nel Wild, poi ho scelto il Wild perchè il guadagno in token SPS era mediamente quasi il doppio e avvolte il triplo. Ovviamente due stagioni non sono un test sufficiente ma credo proprio che sia più facile. Inoltre se il Modern sarà liberato dai bot il guadagno in token SPS potrebbe invertirsi nel Modern e potrebbe essere doppiamente conveniente e forse anche di più anche perchè le mie carte Beta potrei affittarle ;)

Dopo aver letto qualche post su questi tool ho iniziato a provarne uno circa 6 giorni fa per farmi un'idea sul loro utilizzo e utilità.
Sto provando Splintertools ma sinceramente usarlo o meno non mi cambia quasi nulla, in pratica ti mette le percentuali di vittoria in base alle carte che scegli e in base alle battaglie nel suo database ma non potendo fare valutazioni sull'avversario (è nascosto fino all'inizio della battaglia) è uno strumento che può essere utile per i nuovi giocatori ma non per i giocatori con un minimo di esperienza.
Considera che in alcune battaglie in cui mi metteva la percentuale di vittoria del 28% ho vinto e in altre dove avevo più del 90% ho perso.
Diciamo che sono strumenti in cui ci vuole sempre l'intervento attivo e umano e possiamo accostarli agli Hud del poker ma in questo caso essendo nascosto il nome del giocatore non sono utili come gli huds nel poker e non li vedo come un grosso aiuto capace di svantaggiare il giocatore che non li usa.
Insomma se i BOT sono il male assoluto questi sono più strumenti per imparare a giocare ma non spostano molto la percentuale di win rate almeno nel mio caso.
