Splinterlands Recent News: Halving Promo Event, New Conflict Card Revealed + My First Season played with new Reward System (ENG/ITA)

5 days have passed since my last post on Splinterlands and there is different news to share and evaluate.
Splinterlands Recent News: Halving Promo Event, New Conflict Card Revealed
The first interesting news is the start of Baron's Bounty Halving Promo Event.
This event started yesterday, April 16, 2024, and will end in 13 days and 23 hours.
The participation mechanism is based on using DEC tokens and Credits to purchase 2 new limited edition promo cards:
- BARON FYATT (legendary card)
- HENCHLING ENFORCER (rare card).
In the next image you can see the battle statistics of the two new promo cards by level.
To purchase BARON FYATT of maximum level it is necessary to purchase 11 BCX and spend:
- 343750 DEC or 343750 Credits
- or 3432 VOUCHER + 172150 DEC
Based on the current market value of the HIVE, DEC and VOUCHER tokens, I have calculated the dollar cost to be incurred to purchase BARON FYATT and HENCHLING ENFORCER of the highest level.
The most convenient purchase method is to use DEC tokens + VOUCHER tokens, and the total cost is $276.01
To purchase HENCHLING ENFORCER of the highest level, it is necessary to purchase 115 BCX and spend:
- 359375 DEC or 359375 Credits
- or 3565 VOUCHER + 181125 DEC.
The cheapest purchase method is to use DEC tokens + VOUCHER tokens and the total cost is 276.01$
You may have noticed that buying the top-level legendary promo card has a lower cost than buying the top-level rare promo card.
I consider BARON FYATT much more useful in battle than HENCHLING ENFORCER and I would like to have Baron Fyatt of level 3 in my card collection because it has the Halving ability combined with the Scattershot and Ambush abilities.
This means that before the battle begins Baron Fyatt can halve the attack of an opponent's card and in each subsequent round he can halve the attack of other cards because the Scattershot skill randomly changes the attack target in each round.
So Baron Fyatt is a card I really like but it is also a card that has a high cost and I have yet to decide whether to buy it during the event or try to buy it later also because I have other purchase/upgrade goals.
One way or another I will try to have in my collection at least:
- BARON FYATT of level 2.
- HENCHLING ENFORCER of level 4.
For every DEC spent during the first day of the event to purchase promo cards you receive 1 point = 1 ticket valid for the raffle which will give out the prizes at the end of the event that you can see in the following image.
Each day the points earned for each DEC or Credit spent will decrease while using VOUCHER tokens does not earn points.
There is also a leaderboard that will distribute 3 titles to players in the top 200 of the event and Promo cards to players in the top 20 of the event.
At the time I am writing this post to enter the top 20 of the leaderboard you need to have more than 4.06 million points = 4.06 million DEC spent during the first day of the event.
More than 161 million DECs have been spent so far.

The other interesting news I want to share in this post regards the Rebellion card that will be distributed in the upcoming Rebellion Conflict: LORKUS
To receive a guaranteed copy in the next Conflict Airdrop you will need to accumulate at least 300 chances.
LORKUS is the first Rebellion Dual Element summoner with so many abilities to choose from and for that reason he is a summoner I really like and would love to have in my collection at the highest level.
For this reason more than on the promo cards of the current event I will try to accelerate my activity of strengthening and upgrading my collection of cards of the Rebellion set to increase the number of my chances in the upcoming Conflict Airdrop.
I also really like the recently restyled BATTLE section! because the important battle information is more readable than before.
My first season played with the new Reward System.
In the concluding part of this post I share my game results and some personal thoughts and evaluations on the first season I played after the introduction of the new reward system.
April 15 marked the end of season number 132, the first season in which the new Reward System was introduced.

In season number 132 I did not reach my season goal because I did not finish the season in the Gold I league but stopped in the Gold II league of the Modern Format.
Compared with the previous season, I have worsened my win rate: -1.14%
On a positive note, I improved my seasonal gain in SPS tokens.
In season 132 I purchased 50 Draw, 10 per Draw type.
I made good progress related to upgrading soulbound cards even though I did not find legendary cards.
My end-of-season reward was 50640 GLINT which I used immediately to purchase 10 Master Draw.
At the beginning of the current season, I sold some soulbound cards that I never used in battle, and with the glints earned, I purchased 10 more units of each Draw type.
In the current season my goals will be:
- finish the season at least in the Gold I league
- accumulate at least 50K GLINT as an end-of-season reward

La prima novità interessante è l'inizio del Baron's Bounty Halving Promo Event.
Questo evento è iniziato ieri 16 aprile 2024 e terminerà tra 13 giorni e 23 ore.
Il meccanismo di partecipazione è basato sull'utilizzo dei token DEC e dei Credits per acquistare 2 nuove limited edition promo cards:
- BARON FYATT (legendary card)
- HENCHLING ENFORCER (rare card)
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le statistiche di battaglia delle due carte promo in base al livello.
Per acquistare BARON FYATT di livello massimo è necessario acquistare 11 BCX e spendere:

In base al valore di mercato attuale dei token HIVE, DEC e VOUCHER ho calcolato il costo in dollari da sostenere per acquistare BARON FYATT e HENCHLING ENFORCER di massimo livello.
Il metodo di acquisto più conveniente è utilizzare i token DEC + i token VOUCHER e il costo totale è 276.01$
Per acquistare HENCHLING ENFORCER di livello massimo è necessario acquistare 115 BCX e spendere:

Avrai sicuramente notato che acquistare la carta promo leggendaria di massimo livello ha un costo inferiore rispetto all'acquisto della carta promo rara di massimo livello.
Io considero molto più utile in battaglia BARON FYATT rispetto a HENCHLING ENFORCER e mi piacerebbe avere nella mia collezione di carte Baron Fyatt di livello 3 perchè ha l'abilità Halving abbinata alle abilità Scattershot e Ambush.
Questo vuol dire che prima dell'inizio della battaglia Baron Fyatt può dimezzare l'attacco di una carta avversaria e in ogni successivo round può dimezzare l'attacco di altre carte perchè l'abilità Scattershot cambia in modo casuale l'obiettivo di attacco in ogni round.
Quindi Baron Fyatt è una carta che mi piace molto ma è anche una carta che ha un costo molto alto e devo ancora decidere se acquistarla durante l'evento o se provare ad acquistarla successivamente anche perchè ho altri obiettivi di acquisto/upgrade.
In un modo o nell'altro cercherò di avere nella mia collezione almeno:
- BARON FYATT di livello 2
- HENCHLING ENFORCER di livello 4
Per ogni DEC speso durante il primo giorno dell'evento per acquistare le promo cards si riceve 1 punto = 1 ticket valido per la raffle che alla fine dell'evento distribuirà i premi che puoi vedere nell'immgagine seguente.
Ogni giorno i punti guadagnabili per ogni DEC o Credit speso diminuiranno mentre l'utilizzo di token VOUCHER non fa guadagnare punti.
C'è anche una leaderboard che distribuirà 3 titoli ai giocatori nella top 200 dell'evento e Promo cards ai giocatori nella top 20 dell'evento.
Nel momento in cui sto scrivendo questo post per entrare nella top 20 della leaderboard è necessario avere più di 4.06 milioni di punti = 4.06 milioni di DEC spesi durante il primo giorno dell'evento.
Fino ad ora sono stati spesi più di 161 milioni di DEC.

L'altra novità interessante che voglio condividere in questo post riguarda la Rebellion card che sarà distribuita nel prossimo Rebellion Conflict: LORKUS
Per ricevere una copia garantita nel prossimo Conflict Airdrop sarà necessario accumulare almeno 300 chances.
LORKUS è il primo evocatore Rebellion Dual Element con tante abilità tra cui scegliere e per questo motivo è un evocatore che mi piace molto e mi piacerebbe tanto averlo nella mia collezione al massimo livello.
Per questo motivo più che sulle carte promo dell'evento in corso cercherò di accellerare la mia attività di rafforzamento e upgrade della mia collezione di carte del set Rebellion per aumentare il numero delle mie chances nel prossimo Conflict Airdrop.
Mi piace molto anche il recente restyiling della sezione BATTLE! perchè le informazioni importanti delle battaglie sono più leggibili rispetto a prima.
La mia prima stagione giocata con il nuovo Reward System
Nella parte conclusiva di questo post condivido i miei risultati di gioco e alcune considerazioni e valutazioni personali sulla prima stagione che ho giocato dopo l'introduzione del nuovo reward system.
Il 15 aprile è terminata la stagione numero 132, la prima stagione in cui è stato introdotto il nuovo Reward System.

Nella stagione numero 132 non ho raggiunto il mio obiettivo stagionale perchè non ho terminato la stagione in lega Gold I ma mi sono fermato nella lega Gold II del Modern Format.
Rispetto alla stagione precedente ho peggiorato il mio win rate: -1.14%
La nota positiva è che ho migliorato il mio guadagno stagionale in token SPS.
Nella stagione 132 ho acquistato 50 Draw, 10 per tipologia di Draw.
Ho fatto dei buoni progressi relativi all'upgrade delle carte soulbound anche se non ho trovato carte leggendarie.
La mia ricompensa di fine stagione è stata di 50640 GLINT che ho utilizzato immediatamente per acquistare 10 Master Draw.
All'inizio della stagione in corso ho venduto alcune carte soulbound che non utilizzavo mai in battaglia e con i glint guadagnati ho acquistato altre 10 unità per ogni tipologia di Draw.
Nella stagione in corso i miei obiettivi saranno:
- terminare la stagione almeno nella lega Gold I
- accumulare almeno 50K GLINT come ricompensa di fine stagione

Owning a card like the LORKUS convinces me that the Rebellion set are the most powerful in the history of splinterlands.
the BARON of course is a much better card with much better abilities and a magic card at that as well.

We hope that investors get compensated in the splinterlands bull market. Splinterlands Inc needs a to make a lot of changes at the moment, to be very honest
I've seen a lot of posts from people not liking the reward system and saying the previous system was better.
In my opinion, there are positive and negative aspects to the new reward system, but I personally do not see many negative changes from the old one. In my opinion, the problems to be solved on Splinterlands are others such as bots
The promo cards look nice but it just looks pretty expensive. I'll be sitting it out. Good luck on collecting enough Glint. The new reward system just seems like it rewards you less but you do get the choice to pick. I'll have to test out a few more things before I know for sure.

Great overview. Baron Fyatt is definitely the card to have I think, but it is quite pricey. That halving ability is really tempting though. Great work reaching Gold II, I couldn't reach gold this season in modern, but hope I manage it this time.
