Splinterlands DHF Proposal Supported by Hive Community! + My New Strategy About SPS, DEC and Cards!
A few days ago @splinterlands published for the first time his DHF Proposal through which he asked to the Hive community a support of 500K HBD in a time frame of 180 days.

The Splinterlands proposal has surpassed the Return Proposal threshold.
Therefore as long as the Splinterlands DHF proposal has support greater than the Return Proposal it will receive support from the Hive community with 2777 HBD per day until January 18, 2025.
I love Hive and we love Splinterlands and have always considered Hive and Splinterlands a winning combination because:
- Splinterlands gave value to Hive because it brought innovation (tools), burned so many HIVEs, created so many new accounts but most importantly it gave Hive my favorite blockchain game and also one of the most beautiful and fun games in the whole blockchain landscape.
- Hive gave value to Splinterlands because:
- it is a useful, fast, technologically better blockchain than many other blockchain projects, with transaction costs = 0 and therefore ideal player-side.
- Splinterlands was born on Hive and had the support and enthusiasm of the beautiful Hive community.
For this reason immediately and without doubt I voted for the Spinterlands DHF Proposal.
But at the same time I think that, now that Splinteralnds receives a great support and contribution from the Hive community, it should do more for Hive by incentivizing its players to learn about Hive, to be active on Hive and also to have growth goals on Hive by rewarding more those who grow their Hive Power through initiatives and promotions related to Hive and Hive Power.
I hope the support of the Hive community will especially help Splinterlands to improve the gaming experience and increase the real player base.
In my opinion, in order to attract new players Splinterlands must return to focusing primarily on the game and the players, a focus it had in the early years and completely lost in the midst of the bull run when it prioritized the number of transactions (tolerated bots), sold millions of Chaos Legion packs, increased the price of card packs, and started neglecting the playful needs of its strong and solid base composed of the Hivers/players who have always loved playing on Splinterlands and who kept their assets without selling them.
In the DHF Proposal @yabapmatt described the future goals Splinterlands wants to achieve and they are goals I like.
But, In my opinion these goals conceptually and logically clash with the presence and tolerance of bots in the Wild Format|
Bots and bot-farms in the Wild Format continue to displease real players and continue to alienate the real player base from Splinterlands.
The Wild Pass is a bad solution in my opinion because it affects the bots but it also affects the real players who like to play on Splinterlands!
The pillars of any web 2.0 or web 3.0 game are the real, active players who love to play and like to spend their time playing.

How can it improve the gaming experience of a new player who enters Splinterlands today, buys Chaos Legion cards to play in the Modern Format with real players like him and then finds out that when the new set of cards is released he will be forced to play and use his Chaos Legion cards against bots and bot-farms and will also have to pay a seasonal entry fee (Wild Pass) to play against bots and bot-farms?
In my posts I have been trying for a long time to raise consciousness among players about the counterproductivity of tolerating bots.
For me, bots should be completely eliminated even from the Wild Format in order to reemphasize real players and to put the foundation for medium- to long-term future growth.
The only alternative solution could be to create a bots-only league and leave the Modern Format and Wild Format fully available only to real players creating a more equitable and challenging gaming environment!
I have expressed my personal opinion on bots in more detail in many of my previous posts, I have selected four that you can read at the links below.
Unfortunately, if for me eliminating bots should be a priority it is not for Splinterlands who responded to my concern regarding bots with the comment you can read in the screenshot below.
I love Splinterlands and I love to play and for that reason I have always had growth goals on Splinterlands and to date I have only sold DECs and cards to buy more cards to use in the game and so I have never brought anything outside of Splinterlands.
Because I consider bots to be critical to the future prospects of Splinterlands starting today my growth strategy on Splinterlands will change.
I will always have growth goals on Splinterlands but starting today all SPS token earnings I will earn from my game activity on Splinterlands and all earnings I will get from selling cards I do not use in battle I will use them in this way:
- 50% to buy useful cards in battle = increase the battle strength of my card collection
- 50% to make Hive Power Up.
Today, July 24, 2024, my card collection has a market value = $2449
I also have:
- 101998 SPS staked
- 229083 DEC of which 171000 liquid DEC.
- 317 VOUCHER
For SPS tokens, I have decided to sell 50% of my future earnings to make Hive Power Up while the other 50% I will put into staking to increase my staked SPS.
For DEC liquid tokens and VOUCHER tokens, I decided to sell 50% right away to buy SWAP.HIVE which I will use to make Hive Power Up during the next Hive Power Up day (August 1, 2024).
Since I have been on Hive, in more than 5 years, I have never made a power down and have always had growth goals and my future earnings on Splinterlands will allow me to increase my Hive Power faster.
I will only go back to reinvesting 100% of my earnings I get from Splinterlands on Splinterlands when bots are also eliminated from Wild Format!
As a Splinterlands lover and player and as a Hive lover I hope and wish the best for the future of Splinterlands and Hive together and most of all I hope the DHF proposal will benefit both parties!

La proposta di Splinterlands ha superato la soglia della Return Proposal
Per questo motivo fino a quando la Splinterlands DHF proposal avrà un supporto superiore alla Return Proposal riceverà il supporto della comunità di Hive con 2777 HBD al giorno fino al 18 gennaio 2025.
Sono su Hive dal marzo del 2019 e ho iniziato a giocare su Splinterlands nel mese di settembre 2019.
Amo Hive e amo Splinterlands e ho sempre considerato Hive e Splinterlands una coppia vincente perchè:
- Splinterlands ha dato valore ad Hive perchè ha portato innovazione (tools), ha bruciato tanti HIVE, ha creato tanti nuovi accounts ma soprattutto ha dato ad Hive il mio gioco blockchain preferito e anche uno dei giochi più belli e divertenti di tutto il panorama blockchain.
- Hive ha dato valore a Splinterlands perchè:
- è una blockchain utile, veloce, tecnologicamente migliore di tanti altri progetti blockchain, con costi delle transazioni = 0 e quindi ideale lato giocatore.
- Splinterlands è nato su Hive e ha avuto il supporto e l'entusiasmo della bella comunità di Hive
Per questo motivo immediatamente e senza dubbi ho votato la Splinterlands DHF Proposal.
Ma allo stesso tempo penso che, adesso che Splinteralnds riceve un grande contributo e un grande supporto dalla comunità di Hive, dovrebbe fare di più per Hive incentivando i propri giocatori a conoscere Hive, ad essere attivi su Hive e perchè no anche ad avere obiettivi di crescita su Hive premiando maggiormente chi fa crescere il suo Hive Power tramite iniziative e promozioni collegate ad Hive e all'Hive Power.
Spero che il supporto della comunità di Hive aiuti soprattutto Splinterlands a migliorare l'esperienza di gioco e ad aumentare la base di giocatori reali.
Secondo me per attirare nuovi giocatori Splinterlands deve ritornare a focalizzarsi sul gioco e sui giocatori, focus che aveva nei primi anni e che ha completamente perso in piena bull run quando ha dato priorità al numero di transazioni (ha tollerato i bots), ha venduto milioni di pacchi Chaos Legion, ha aumentato il prezzo dei pacchi di carte e ha iniziato a trascurare le esigenze ludiche della sua base forte e solida composta dagli Hivers/giocatori che hanno sempre amato giocare su Splinterlands e che hanno mantenuto i loro assets senza venderli.
Nella DHF Proposal @yabapmatt ha descritto gli obiettivi futuri che Splinterlands vuole raggiungere e sono obiettivi che mi piacciono.
Secondo me questi obiettivi concettualmente e logicamente si scontrano con la presenza e la tolleranza dei bots nel Wild Format|
I bots e le bot-farms nel Wild Format continuano a scontentare i giocatori reali e continuano ad allontanare la base di giocatori reali da Splinterlands.
Il Wild Pass è una soluzione sbagliata secondo me perchè colpisce i bots ma colpisce anche i giocatori reali che amano giocare su Splinterlands!
I pilastri di ogni gioco web 2.0 o web 3.0 sono i giocatori reali e attivi che amano giocare e che amano spendere il loro tempo giocando.
Come si può migliorare l'esperienza di gioco di un nuovo giocatore che entra oggi su Splinterlands, acquista le carte Chaos Legion per giocare nel Modern Format con giocatori reali come lui e poi scopre che quando sarà rilasciato il nuovo set di carte sarà costretto a giocare e utilizzare le sue carte Chaos Legion contro bots e bot-farms e dovrà anche pagare una fee di ingresso stagionale (Wild Pass) per giocare contro bots e bot-farms?
Nei miei post cerco da tanto tempo di sensibilizzare i giocatori sulla controproducenza di tollerare i bots.
Per me i bots andrebbero completamente eliminati anche dal Wild Format per ridare importanza ai giocatori reali e per mettere le basi per una crescita futura di medio-lungo termine.
L'unica soluzione alternativa potrebbe essere quella di creare una lega solo per bots e lasciare il Modern Format e il Wild Format a completa disposizione solo dei giocatori reali creando un ambiente di gioco più equo e più stimolante!
Ho espresso in modo più approfondito la mia personale opinione sui bots in molti miei precedenti post, ne ho selezionati quattro che puoi leggere ai link seguenti.
Sfortunatamente, se per me eliminare i bots dovrebbe essere una priorità non lo è per Splinterlands che alla mia preoccupazione relativa ai bots ha risposto con il commento che puoi leggere nello screenshot seguente.
Amo Splinterlands e mi piace giocare e per questo motivo ho avuto sempre obiettivi di crescita su Splinterlands e fino ad oggi ho venduto DEC e carte solo per acquistare altre carte da utilizzare in gioco e quindi non ho mai portato nulla al di fuori di Splinterlands.
Dato che considero i bots una criticità per le prospettive future di Splinterlands da oggi la mia strategia di crescita su Splinterlands cambierà.
Avrò sempre obiettivi di crescita su Splinterlands ma a partire da oggi tutti i guadagni in token SPS che otterrò dalla mia attività di gioco su Splinterlands e tutti i guadagni che otterrò dalla vendita delle carte che non uso in battaglia li utilizzerò in questo modo:
- 50% per acquistare carte utili in battaglia = aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte
- 50% per fare Hive Power Up
Oggi 24 luglio 2024 la mia collezione di carte ha un valore di mercato = 2449$
Ho anche:
- 101998 SPS staked
- 229083 DEC di cui 171000 DEC liquidi
- 317 VOUCHER
Per i token SPS ho deciso di vendere il 50% dei miei guadagni futuri per fare Hive Power Up mentre l'altro 50% lo metterò in staking per aumentare i miei SPS staked.
Per i token DEC liquidi e per i token VOUCHER ho deciso di vendere subito il 50% per acquistare SWAP.HIVE che utilizzerò per fare Hive Power Up durante il prossimo Hive Power Up day (1 agosto 2024).
Da quando sono su Hive, in più di 5 anni, non ho mai fatto un power down e ho avuto sempre obiettivi di crescita e i miei guadagni futuri su Splinterlands mi permetteranno di aumentare più velocemente il mio Hive Power.
Tornerò a reinvestire il 100% dei miei guadagni che ottengo da Splinterlands su Splinterlands solo quando i bots saranno eliminati anche dal Wild Format!
Come giocatore appassionato di Splinterlands e come appassionato di Hive spero e auguro il meglio per il futuro di Splinterlands e Hive insieme e soprattutto spero che la DHF proposal possa portare benefici ad entrambe le parti!

Come sai, caro @libertycrypto27, è esattamente la strategia che adotto da tanto tempo: vendo il 50% di SPS e Voucher per acquistare Hive. Il rimanente 50% finisce in stake di SPS ed in DEC.
Ma gradualmente ho deciso che aumenterò la percentuale di estrazione da Splinterlands.
Si amico mio mi ricordo il tuo recente commento in cui me lo hai scritto.
Io l'ho fatto per altri giochi e mai per Splinterlands ma adesso lo farò anche per Splinterlands e fino a quando non vedrò cambiamenti significativi potrei come te aumentare la percentuale di swap
I think the team are very lucky to receive this lifeline from Hive and hopefully they can turn around the death spiral that the game is in. Hopefully Hive can survive the increased $3k per day selling pressure too.
Now that Splinterlands is getting a lot of help from the Hive community it also has more responsibility to Hive and should do much more for Hive.
On this point there should be diluted pressure over time because there should not be direct pressure but I hope these funds will help Splinterlands but also Hive.
Why do people think that markets are isolated one from another? There is arbitrage between markets if the money flow is available (deposits and withdrawals)... Sell pressure is sell pressure and it can happen on Binance, Upbit, or internal markets, and it does matter... People WILL and ARE depositing/withdrawing funds to arbitrage and earn money... Ironically, those are usually bots... 😂

Hive è basato su un sistema inflazionistico e ogni giorno vengono creati nuovi Hive che vengono distribuiti in modi diversi. Il 10% della reward pool va al fondo DHF che serve a finanziare i progetti che avanzano proposte e che ricevono l'approvazione da parte degli stakeholders superando una soglia minima.

Gli HBD verranno convertiti in DEC e utilizzati nel momento in cui ci saranno spese da sostenere...nella proposta Splinterlands ha scritto che lavorerà in modo da portare vantaggi anche ad Hive...vedremo se sarà così ma certamente da oggi in poi Splinterlands ha più responsabilità verso Hive e dovrebbe fare molto di più per Hive secondo me

Sono dell’idea che le aziende cambino idea solo quando vedono i cambiamenti nei loro flussi di cassa.
Se iniziano a sentire un po’ di pressione alla vendita di SPS, VOUCHER e DEC motivate dalla presenza dei bot, forse così pian piano cambieranno idea.
Sono completamente d’accordo con te sulla necessità di eliminare con urgenza i bot dal gioco. Per sempre e ovunque, senza nemmeno lasciare un formato apposta per loro.
In effetti è quasi sempre così ma adesso che Splinterlands riceve aiuto da Hive deve fare anche qualcosa in più per Hive altrimenti io sarò il primo a rimuovere il mio voto dalla proposta e penso lo faranno anche altri
Sui bots la penso esattamente come te ma se proprio non si voglio eliminare in modo brusco una lega solo per bots con una piccola parte della reward pool sarebbe un passo in avanti ma solo come passo intermedio verso la completa eliminazione dei bots

I am glad to see the proposal being funded and I hope that the team can change things around. It's a chance that I think they should get because I learned about Hive from Splinterlands. If there was no game, I wouldn't know about Hive
I hope splinterlands can work better PR that can also make it possible for the splinterlands community and Hive to be in synch rather discord.
All the PR in the world will not change the fact that this game now just steals money from you by not allowing you to use your own assets once they are ± 2 years old unless you pay every season.
They say this particular moves helps newer players to actually be able afford to play in modern. If not, I don't think this change is actually good enough.
They will need to constantly replace old players with new as the cards become unplayable & new players will start to question why old players leave the game in droves every time a new set is released.

Totally agree the season pass is a very very bad idea. It has left us real players (excepting whales with lots of money to spend) with a bad taste in our mouths. A large majority of my cards are only playable in Wild & I worked a lot of overtime to be able to buy them now they are worthless to me as I can't afford to pay for the season pass to utilise them. I now tell every single person I can that Splinterlands is a scam as that is exactly what it now is. Buying cards & trying to up your game to win matches is pointless now, you might as well just set your money on fire either way it's lost.
Completely agree about wild pass.
