Today, March 6, there are just under 9 days until the end of the current season of Splinterlands and I am in the Gold II league of the Wild Format just 55 rating points behind the Gold I league.

My game goal is to be able to play most days of the Splinterlands seasons in the Diamond leagues.
I am still far from reaching my goal but last season I was able to enter the Diamond III league four days before the end of the season and that is my personal record in at least one year of play.
The activity of optimizing my card collection continues to produce positive effects season after season but if I want to reach my playing goal I cannot stop and I have to continue buying useful cards in battle and I have to continue upgrading the cards I have in my collection.

By the way, this season there is an additional incentive to advance as far as possible in the higher leagues because the new Seasonal Rating Reset is active.

If I manage to finish the current season in the Diamond I league I will be able to restart from the Diamond III league. I will hardly succeed this season but trying will cost me nothing and on the contrary will increase my fun ;)

Today I am sharing my considerations and evaluations on a card that I consider very useful in battle and is also an upgrade target of mine: Spirit Hoader.

Spirit Hoarder is a must buy!

Spririt Hoarder is a Neutral Legendary card of the Chaos Legion edition.
Spririt Hoarder is one of the cards in Splinterlands that I define a "Must Buy" because it is a very versatile card that you can use profitably in many battles because it plays well in many rulesets especially when used in combinanction with other cards.

Spirit Hoarder has more strengths than weaknesses.

The strengths of Spirit Hoarder are:

• 1: It is a neutral card and can be used with all summoners of any element.
• 2: It has a really low mana cost: 3 mana points
• 3: It has 3 useful abilities in battle and has a very useful ability as early as level 1: Triage

The weaknesses of Spirit Hoarder are:

• 1: it has low speed = it will hardly avoid an attack and will most likely attack in the last rounds of each Round.
• 2: it has low life points (3) making it a fragile card to protect by putting special care in placement.

In the Novice and Bronze leagues, it is possible to use Spirit Hoarder of level 1 that has only one ability: Triage

In Silver leagues, it is possible to use Level 2 Spirit Hoarder** that acquires a second ability: Dispel

In Gold leagues, it is possible to use Spirit Hoarder of level 3 that acquires a third ability: Blind

In Diamond+ leagues, it is possible to use Spirit Hoarder of Level 4 (Max Level) that doubles its magic attack: 1->2

Battle Strategies

Spirit Hoader has three useful abilities but in my opinion it is the Triage and Dispel abilities that are the most useful in battle.

The Triage ability allows Spirit Hoarder to restore a minimum of 2 life points to the friendly monster card that suffered the most damage during a round of the battle.

The Triage ability becomes especially useful in a battle that has Super Sneak rulesets because all enemy cards from second to sixth position will attack the card in last position.

Using a card with the Triage ability along with a card with much life and/or the Heal ability in last position can be a winning strategy.

Spirit Hoarder also becomes very useful in battles that have the ruleset Target Practice because all enemy cards with magic attack and ranged attack will attack the card in second position and having a card with the Triage ability will help the card in second position resist more.

Spirit Hoarder is also very useful in battles where you choose the strategy of changing the attack target of enemy cards by using cards with the Taunt ability placed in a position other than the first position such as in a battle with the Stampede ruleset in which protecting cards with the Trample ability by directing enemy attacks away from them is often a winning strategy.

Spirit Hoarder becomes even more useful in battle when he acquires the second ability: Dispel.

Removing the positive statuses of an enemy monster card is often very useful, and the Dispel ability has increased its usefulness in battle with the introduction of Soulbound cards because now the Dispel ability also removes the effects of the Bloodlust and Martyr abilities.

I made two gifs from a battle I played that show practically and clearly the utility of the Dispel ability.

Spirit Hoarder is also very useful in battles that have low mana such as battles that have the Little League ruleset and increases its magic attack when used in combination with summoners:

• Delwyn Dragonscale
• Obsidian
• Alric Stormbringer
• Valnamor
• Archmage Arius

Because of the low life points, it is not advisable to use Spirit Hoader in battles that have the Equal Opportunity battle rule unless it is used in combination with cards with the Taunt ability.

Market Value Considerations

Today March 6, 2023 Spirit Hoader has:

• market value: 5.5$
• Price Low buy: 6.480$
• Price per BCX: 5.714$

In the image below you can see the price trend (List Price and List Price BCX) of Spirit Hoarder over a 180-day time interval.

Buying Spirit Hoarder of maximum level has a total cost of $65,660 = $5,969 per BCX.

In my opinion Spirit Hoader is a card to buy because its price even though it is higher than other cards of the Chaos Legion edition is in my opinion a right price if not underestimated considering its usefulness in battle.

By the way there are only 13 cards that have the Triage ability including two summoners and only two cards acquire the Triage ability at level 1:

• Spirit Hoarder
• Mermaid Healer

Mermaid Healer at level 1 has a higher cost than Spirit Hoader but;

• it has no attack points
• can only be summoned by summoners of the Water, Dragon and Neutral element.

Spirit Hoarder is therefore the only neutral card to have the Triage ability!

Furthermore, out of 17 cards with the Dispel ability, there are only two neutral cards that have this ability including Spirit Hoarder.

For all the reasons I listed above I have decided to upgrade Spririt Hoarder up to level 4 (max level) but I will proceed by steps using bids as the method of purchase.

In my card collection I have:

• 1 Spirit Hoarder of level 2 + 2 BCXs.

In order to upgrade Spirit Hoarder to the maximum level, I need to purchase 7 BCX and in the image below you can see the bid I made today using the Make Bid feature of Peakmonsters.

Spirit Hoarder: Una carta utile da comprare! Strategia e Battaglie

Oggi 6 marzo mancano poco meno di 9 giorni alla fine della stagione in corso di Splinterlands e sono nella lega Gold II del Wild Format a soli 55 punti di rating dalla lega Gold I.

Il mio obiettivo di gioco è riuscire a giocare la maggior parte dei giorni delle stagioni di Splinterlands nelle leghe Diamond.
Sono ancora lontanto dal raggiungere il mio obiettivo ma nella scorsa stagione sono riuscito ad entrare in lega Diamond III quattro giorni prima della fine della stagione e questo è il mio record personale in almeno un anno di gioco.
L'attività di ottimizzazione della mia collezione di carte continua a produrre effetti positivi stagione dopo stagione ma se voglio raggiungere il mio obiettivo di gioco non mi posso fermare e devo continuare a comprare carte utili in battaglia e devo continuare a fare l'upgrade delle carte che ho nella mia collezione.

Tra l'altro in questa stagione c'è un ulteriore incentivo ad avanzare il più possibile nelle leghe superiori perchè è attivo il nuovo Seasonal Rating Reset.
Se riuscissi a terminare la stagione in corso in lega Diamond I potrei ripartire dalla lega Diamond III. Difficilmente ci riuscirò in questa stagione ma provarci non mi costerà nulla e al contrario aumenterà il mio divertimento ;)

Oggi voglio condividere un mio obiettivo di ugrade relativo ad una carta che ritengo molto utile in battaglia: Spirit Hoader.

Spirit Hoarder is a must buy!

Spririt Hoarder è una carta Neutrale leggendaria dell'edizione Chaos Legion.
Spririt Hoarder è una delle carte di Splinterlands che io definisco a "Must Buy" perchè è una carta molto versatile che è possibile utilizzare con profitto in molte battaglie perchè si adatta a molte rulesets soprattutto se utilizzata in combinanzione con altre carte.

Spirit Hoarder ha più punti di forza che punti deboli.

I punti di forza di Spirit Hoarder sono:

• 1: E' una carta neutrale e può essere usata con tutti gli evocatori di qualsiasi elemento
• 2: Ha un costo in mana davvero basso: 3 punti di mana
• 3: ha 3 abilità utili in battaglia e ha un'abilità molto utile già a partire dal livello 1: Triage

I punti deboli di Spirit Hoarder sono:

• 1: ha una bassa velocità = difficilmente riuscirà ad evitare un attacco e attaccherà con molta probabilità negli ultimi turni di ogni Round.
• 2: ha pochi punti vita (3) che la rendono una carta fragile da proteggere mettendo particolare attenzione nel posizionamento.

Nelle leghe Novice e Bronze è possibile utilizzare Spirit Hoarder di livello 1 che ha solo un'abilità: Triage

Nelle leghe Silver è possibile utilizzare Spirit Hoarder di livello 2 che acquisisce una seconda abilità: Dispel

Nelle leghe Gold è possibile utilizzare Spirit Hoarder di livello 3 che acquisisce una terza abilità: Blind

Nelle leghe Diamond+ è possibile utilizzare Spirit Hoarder di livello 4 (Max Level) che raddoppia il suo attacco magico: 1->2

Strategie di battaglia

Spirit Hoader ha tre utili abilità ma secondo me sono le abilità Triage e Dispel le più utili in battaglia.

L'abilità Triage permette a Spirit Hoarder di ripristinare un minimo di 2 punti vita alla carta mostro amica che ha subito più danni durante un round della battaglia.

L'abilità Triage diventa particolarmente utile in una battaglia che ha la rulesets Super Sneak perchè tutte le carte nemiche dalla seconda alla sesta posizione attaccheranno la carta in ultima posizione.

Usare una carta con l'abilità Triage insieme ad una carta con molti punti vita e/o l'abilità Heal in ultima posizione può essere una strategia vincente.

Spirit Hoarder diventa molto utile anche in battaglie che hanno la ruleset Target Practice perchè tutte le carte nemiche con attacco magico e dalla distanza attaccheranno la carta in seconda posizione e avere una carta con l'abilità Triage aiuterà la carta in seconda posizione a resistere di più.

Spirit Hoarder è molto utile anche in battaglie in cui si sceglie la strategia di modificare l'obiettivo di attacco delle carte nemiche utilizzando carte con l'abilità Taunt posizionate in una posizione diversa dalla prima posizione come ad esempio una battaglia con le rulesets Explosive Weaponery e Stampede nelle quali proteggere le carte con l'abilità Trample è spesso una strategia vincente.

Spirit Hoarder diventa ancora più utile in battaglia quando acquisisce la seconda abilità: Dispel.

Rimuovere gli status positivi di una carta mostro nemica è spesso molto utile e l'abilità Dispel ha aumentato la sua utilità in battaglia con l'introduzione delle carte Soulbound perchè adesso l'abilità Dispel rimuove anche gli effetti delle abilità Bloodlust e Martyr.

Ho realizzato due gif da una battaglia che ho giocato che mostrano praticamente e chiaramente l'utilità dell'abilità Dispel.

Spirit Hoarder è molto utile anche in battaglie che hanno pochi mana come le battaglie che hanno la ruleset Little League e aumenta il suo attacco magico se utilizzato in combinazione con gli evocatori:

• Delwyn Dragonscale
• Obsidian
• Alric Stormbringer
• Valnamor
• Archmage Arius

Dati i pochi punti vita non è consigliabile utilizzare Spirit Hoader in battaglie che hanno la regola di battaglia Equal Opportunity a meno che non si utilizza in combinazione con carte con l'abilità Taunt.

Oggi 6 marzo 2023 Spirit Hoader ha:

• market value: 5.5$
• Price Low buy: 6.480$
• Price per BCX: 5.714$

Acquistare Spririt Hoarder di massimo livello ha un costo totale di 65.660$ = 5.969$ per BCX.

Secondo me Spirit Hoader è una carta da acquistare perchè il suo prezzo anche se è più alto di altre carte dell'edizione Chaos Legion è secondo me un prezzo giusto se non sottostimato considerando la sua utilità in battaglia.

Tra l'altro ci sono solo 13 carte che hanno l'abilità Triage tra cui due evocatori e solo due carte acquisiscono l'abilità Triage al livello 1:

• Spirit Hoarder
• Mermaid Healer

Mermaid Healer di livello 1 ha un costo maggiore di Spirit Hoader ma;

• non ha punti di attacco
• può essere evocata solo dagli evocatori dell'elemento Water, Dragone e Neutrale.

Spirit Hoarder è quindi l'unica carta neutrale ad avere l'abilità Triage!

Inoltre su 17 carte con l'abilità Dispel ci sono solo due carte neutrali che hanno questa abilità tra cui Spirit Hoarder.

Per tutti i motivi che ho elencato sopra ho deciso di fare l'upgrade di Spririt Hoarder fino al livello 4 (max level) ma procederò per step successivi utilizzando come metodo di acquisto le offerte di acquisto (bids).

Nella mia collezione di carte ho:

• 1 Spirit Hoarder di livello 2 + 2 BCX

Per portare Spirit Hoarder al massimo livello devo acquistare 7 BCX e nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere l'offerta di acquisto che ho effettuato oggi utilizzando la funzionalità Make Bid di Peakmonsters.
