Important Changes to the STARBITS Millionaire Mission: Calculations and Considerations (ENG/ITA)

I started my virtual singing adventure on Rising Star in mid-August 2020 and Rising Star was my second blockchain-based game I played after Splinterlands.
A few days after I signed up, I immediately decided what my main goal within the game should be: become a millionaire!

After just over a year of playing the game, on August 24, 2021, I reached my main goal, accumulated a total of 1 million STARBITS tokens, and wrote a post celebrating the milestone.

Why accumulating 1 million STARBITS is so important in the game of Rising Star?

Because the player who accumulates 1 million STARBITS can request the prestigious STARBITS Millionaire Card, through which he or she can perform one STARBITS Millionaire mission per day and earn 10000 STARBITS per day!

When I received my STARBITS Millionaire Card, the active players were 1533 and I was one of only 187 lucky holders of the millionaire card.

Today June 8, 2022 the active players are 7473 and the STARBITS Millionaire Card holders are 1156

Every STARBITS Millionaire Card owner and only considering the STARBITS Millionaire mission has a chance to receive:

10000 STARBITS per day = 300000 STARBITS per month = 3650000 STARBITS per year.

I have so far completed 293 STARBITS Millionaire missions and received 2930000 STARBITS tokens.

The value of STARBITS tokens has been basically stable for a long time, but in the last seven days it has declined as you can see from the candlestick chart at https://tribaldex.com/trade/STARBITS

Completing a STARBITS Millionaire mission today allows you to receive a value of 1.85 HIVE = $1.11 per day.

Just seven days ago completing the same mission allowed to receive a value of 3.00 HIVE = $1.80

Although the value of STARBITS tokens is lower today than in the past, earning $1.11 per day with a single mouse click is still a wonderful gain considering the practically zero effort to obtain it.

Important Changes to the STARBITS Millionaire Mission

Yesterday, @risingstargame published a post in which it announced the changes that will affect the Starbits Millionaire mission and that will be active starting June 27, 2022.

The first change will affect the requirements needed to carry out the Starbits Millionaire mission.

Today to carry out the STARBITS Millionaire mission, the following requirements must be met:

  • 1 million STARBITS tokens on Hive Engine
  • 1000 Fans
  • level 50
  • 65% Energy

Starting June 27 to perform the STARBITS Millionaire mission you will need to have a minimum number of Fans determined by the following formula:

1000 + (100 x number of Starbits Millionaire missions you have run)

This means that to carry out the first mission Starbits Millionaire it will be necessary to have 1000 Fans.
To carry out the tenth mission Starbits Millionaire it will be necessary to have 1000+900 = 1900 FANS
To carry out the hundredth mission Starbits Millionaire it will be necessary to have 1000+9900 = 10900 FANS

Starting June 27, all STARBITS Millionaire cardholders will have to establish a strategy to increase the number of Fans by 100 per day and by 3,000 per month.

How to increase the number of FANS

Each Rising Star player has a Number of FANS that is the result of the following sum:

Temporary FANS Number + Fixed FANS Number.

The Temporary FANS are obtained as an additional reward and in random amounts from completing missions and have a limited time duration: 12 hours.

Fixed FANS are the result of the sum of the FANS attributes of the cards that compose a card collection.

To permanently increase the number of FANS there are two options:

  • purchase cards that have the FANS attribute >0 from the Rising Star market**.
  • Buy packs of cards and hope to find cards that have the FANS attribute >0.

How to choose cards to buy

For choosing the best cards to buy to increase the number of FANS, there is a site that simplifies and speeds up the choosing process: the Rising Star Game Fam site (https://rsgfam.com/) created by @foxon

The Rising Star Game Fam site allows you to quickly find the cards have the best COST to Number of Fans ratio and which are therefore the most affordable cards to purchase.

For example and right now increasing the number of FANS** by **100 units has a cost of 6290 token STARBITS

This means that those who want to earn the 10000 STARBITS tokens from the STARBITS Millionaire mission will first have to invest an amount of STARBITS tokens in the purchase of NFTs.

Will it still be profitable to carry out the Millionaire mission?

Completing the STARBITS Millionaire mission will always be a profitable action but if you make a liquid profit today, 10000 STARBITS, from June 27 onward you will make the same Profit but divided between:

  • a less liquid part: market value of NFTs purchased
  • a liquid part: profit of the STARBITS Millionaire mission (Reward Mission - NFT Purchase Cost).

A second change to the STARBITS Millionaire mission will also be introduced on June 27: a 10% bonus.

If you hold 0.03 STARPRO x number of Starbits Millionaire missions you have run then you will get a 10% bonus on the Millionaire Mission.

So those who do not have STARPRO tokens in their wallet after June 27 will have to buy 0.03 STARPRO before running the STARBITS Millionaire mission to receive 1000 STARBITS of additional bonus.

At this time, however, from a strictly financial point of view this operation is not convenient as you can see from the calculations in the diagram below.

But as @risingstargame wrote in the announcement post, after June 27 the current values may change.

The "0.03" will change as the STARBITS & STARPRO prices change but the goal is to allow you to get back 1000 STARBITS for the same cost as buying the equivalent STARPRO (or earning it in Music Promoter) and holding it.

Conclusion

The new changes could produce an increase in market transactions related to NFTs because the 1156 holders from the STARBITS Millionaire card will have to steadily and progressively increase the number of FANS by 3000 per month.

As a result, increased purchase demand could produce an average increase in the market prices of cards that have the FANS>0 attribute, and it might be a good idea for those with an insufficient number of FANS to buy the necessary cards today instead of waiting until June 27...

The number of packs of cards sold should also increase

I will have to considerably increase the number of my FANS because I have 4144 fixed FANS and 293 completed Millionaire Missions but I view the changes that will be introduced on June 27 in a positive way because they will allow Rising Star to have better future economic sustainability.

Dopo pochi giorni dalla mia iscrizione ho subito deciso quale doveva essere il mio obiettivo principale all'interno del gioco: diventare milionario!

Dopo poco più di un anno di gioco, il 24 agosto 2021, ho raggiunto il mio obiettivo principale, ho accumulato un totale di 1 milione di token STARBITS è ho scritto un post per festeggiare il traguardo raggiunto.

Perchè accumulare 1 milione di STARBITS è così importante nel gioco di Rising Star?

Perchè il giocatore che accumula un milione di STARBITS può richiedere la prestigiosa STARBITS Millionaire Card, grazie alla quale può svolgere una missione STARBITS Millionaire al giorno e guadagnare 10000 STARBITS al giorno!

Quando ho ricevuto la mia STARBITS Millionaire Card i giocatori attivi erano 1533 e io ero uno dei soli 187 fortunati possessori della carta milionaria.

Oggi 8 giugno 2022 i giocatori attivi sono 7473 e i possessori della STARBITS Millionaire Card sono 1156

Ogni possessore della STARBITS Millionaire Card e solo considerando la missione STARBITS Millionaire ha la possibilità di ricevere:

10000 STARBITS al giorno = 300000 STARBITS al mese = 3650000 STARBITS all'anno

Io fino ad oggi ho completato 293 missioni STARBITS Millionaire che mi hanno permesso di ricevere 2930000 token STARBITS.

Il valore dei token STARBITS è rimasto sostanzialmente stabile per molto tempo ma negli ultimi sette giorni ha subito un calo come puoi vedere dal grafico candlestick su https://tribaldex.com/trade/STARBITS

Completare oggi una missione STARBITS Millionaire permette di ricevere un valore di 1.85 HIVE = 1.11$ al giorno.

Solo sette giorni fa completare la stessa missione permetteva di ricevere un valore di 3.00 HIVE = 1.80$

Anche se oggi il valore dei token STARBITS è più basso rispetto al passato guadaguare 1.11$ al giorno con un solo click del mouse è comunque un guadagno meraviglioso considerando lo sforzo praticamente nullo per ottenerlo.

Importanti Modifiche alla Missione STARBITS Millionaire

Ieri @risingstargame ha pubblicato un post in cui ha annunciato le modifiche che riguarderanno la missione Starbits Millionaire e che saranno attive a partire dal 27 giugno 2022.

La prima modifica riguarderà i requisiti necessari per svolgere la missione Starbits Millionaire.

Oggi per svolgere la missione STARBITS Millionaire bisogna soddisfare i seguenti requisiti:

  • 1 milione di token STARBITS su Hive Engine
  • 1000 Fans
  • livello 50
  • 65% Energia

A partire dal 27 giugno per svolgere la missione STARBITS Millionaire sarà necessario avere un minimo numero di Fans determinato dalla seguente formula:

1000 + (100 x number of Starbits Millionaire missions you have run)

Questo vuol dire che per svolgere la prima missione Starbits Millionaire sarà necessario avere 1000 Fans.
Per svolgere la decima missione Starbits Millionaire sarà necessario avere 1000+900 = 1900 FANS
Per svolgere la centesima missione Starbits Millionaire sarà necessario avere 1000+9900 = 10900 FANS

A partire dal 27 giugno tutti i possessori della carta STARBITS Millionaire dovranno stabilire una strategia per incrementare il numero di Fans di 100 unità al giorno e di 3000 unità al mese.

Come aumentare il numero dei FANS

Ogni giocatore di Rising Star ha un numero di FANS che è il risultato della seguente somma:

Numero FANS temporanei + Numero FANS fissi

I FANS termporanei si ottengono come ricompensa aggiuntiva e in quantitità casuale dal completamento delle missioni e hanno una durata di tempo limitata: 12 ore.

I FANS fissi sono il risultato della somma degli attributi FANS delle carte che compongono una collezione di carte.

Per aumentare in modo permanente il numero dei FANS ci sono due possibilità:

  • acquistare carte che hanno l'attributo FANS >0 dal mercato di Rising Star**.
  • acquistare pacchi di carte e sperare di trovare carte che hanno l'attributo FANS > 0.

Per la scelta delle migliori carte da acquistare per aumentare il numero dei FANS c'è un sito che semplifica e velocizza l'operazione di scelta: il sito Rising Star Game Fam (https://rsgfam.com/) creato da @foxon

Il sito Rising Star Game Fam permette di trovare in poco tempo le carte hanno il miglior rapporto COSTO / Numero di Fans e che quindi sono le carte più convenienti da acquistare.

Ad esempio e in questo momento aumentare di 100 unità il numero di FANS ha un costo di 6290 token STARBITS

Questo vuol dire che chi vorrà guadagnare i 10000 token STARBITS dalla missione STARBITS Millionaire dovrà prima investire un quantitativo di token STARBITS nell'acquisto di NFT.

Sarà ancora profittevvole svolgere la missione Milionaria?

Svolgere la missione STARBITS Millionaire sarà sempre un'azione vantaggiosa e profittevole ma se oggi si ottiene un profitto liquido, 10000 STARBITS, dal 27 giugno in poi si otterrà lo stesso Profitto ma diviso tra:

  • una parte meno liquida: valore di mercato degli NFT acquistati - una parte liquida: utile della missione STARBITS Millionaire (Reward Mission - NFT Purchase Cost).

Il 27 giugno sarà introdotta anche una seconda modifica alla missione STARBITS Millionaire: un Bonus del 10%.

Quindi chi non ha token STARPRO nel suo wallet dopo il 27 giugno dovrà comprare 0.03 STARPRO prima di svolgere la missione STARBITS Millionaire per ricevere 1000 STARBITS di bonus aggiuntivi.

In questo momento però da un punto di vista strettamente finanziario questa operazione non è conveniente come puoi vedere dai calcoli presenti nello schema seguente.

Ma come scritto da @risingstargame nel post di annuncio, dopo il 27 giugno i valori attuali potrebbero cambiare.

Le nuove modifiche potrebbero produrre un aumento delle transazioni di mercato relative agli NFT perchè i 1156 possessori dalla carta STARBITS Millionaire dovranno aumentare costantemente e progressivamente il numero dei FANS di 3000 unità al mese.

Di conseguenza una maggiore domanda di acquisto potrebbe produrre un aumento medio dei prezzi di mercato delle carte che hanno l'attributo FANS>0 e potrebbe essere una buona idea per chi ha un numero di FANS insufficiente quella di comprare oggi le carte necessarie invece di aspettare il 27 giugno...

Anche il numero dei pacchi di carte venduti dovrebbe aumentare

Io dovrò aumentare in modo considerevole il numero dei miei FANS perchè ho 4144 FANS fissi e 293 Missioni milionarie completate ma considero in modo positivo le modifiche che saranno introdotte il 27 giugno perchè permetteranno a Rising Star di avere una migliore sostenibilità economica futura.

Un aggiornamento che farà storia sicuramente, anche perchè sarà difficilissima tenere a bada anche l'ego aumentando i fan...diventerà tutto più complicato...

Ma una domanda, una volta ottenuta la carta Milionaire, il milione di Starbits si può spendere? Si può scendere sotto il milione di Starbits nel wallet o bisogna tenerlo fermo?
Mi pare di aver letto qualcosa a riguardo in qualche tua guida, ma non riesco a ritrovarlo ora...

Si quando le modifiche saranno attive sarà più complicato gestire le varie dinamiche di gioco ma sarà anche tutto più divertente ;)
Tra l'altro io dovrò investire molti STARBITS per aumentare i miei FANS a circa 30k unità.

Ma una domanda, una volta ottenuta la carta Milionaire, il milione di Starbits si può spendere? Si può scendere sotto il milione di Starbits nel wallet o bisogna tenerlo fermo?

No il milione di STARBITS va tenuto fermo nel wallet e non lo puoi spendere

Avevo letto il post con le novità stanotte ed ho cominciato a comprare carte. ;)

La mia situazione è un po' migliore della tua perché ho "solo" 273 missioni STARBITS Millionaire fatte (una ventina meno delle tue) e soprattutto ho già 12715 fans dalle carte. Ma temo che per qualche tempo a partire dal 27 giugno dovrò rinunciare alla missione: non credo di poter comprare abbastanza carte per ottenere i 15585 fans che servirebbero ad oggi (e per allora saranno aumentati visto che nei prossimi giorni compirò altre missioni).

Inoltre occorre pensare anche a fare le "music lessons" per ottenere l'ego necessario a riequilibrare l'eccesso di fans. Saranno sempre più preziose le carte booster che permettono di accorciare i tempi. D'altra parte questi giochi non sono sostenibili e di tanto in tanto hanno bisogno di un qualche meccanismo che riequilibra la situazione. Succede a tutti da Splinterlands in giù. E non solo su Hive.

Hai proprio ragione caro @garlet aumentare i FANS non sarà facile e soprattutto per me che devo aumentare il numero dei fans di 26k unità per il 27 giugno.
Sto valutando se acquistare i pacchi e vendere le carte che non mi servono, in questo modo testerò anche il mercato di Rising Star, oppure procedere con l'acquisto di carte singole dal mercato. In un modo o nell'altro servono tantissimi STARBITS :)
Anche l'Ego contribuirà a complicare le cose ma fortunatamente ho da tempo potenziato una music lesson e potrei fare tranquillamente un minimo di 1500 SKILL al giorno
In un modo o nell'altro questa modifica mi ha risvegliato l'interesse nel gioco che prima era principalmente quello di accumulare il maggior numero di STARBITS perchè in fondo servivano pochi acquisti di carte per avanzare nel gioco e nelle missioni mentre adesso le carte servono di più :)

Io per fortuna facevo quasi ogni giorno una lesson music per ottimizzare l'uso dell'energia, quindi non dovrei neanche io aver grossi problemi su quel fronte. Il gioco diventa sicuramente più impegnativo e variato.

Yes, in the beginning it is important to buy cards to meet the mission requirements of the various zones but it is even more important to buy cards (pizza slices and pizza box) that give you the energy you need to do the best combination of missions each day to accumulate the most STARBITS ;)

My overall take on the change is that it pushes players to obtain 100 fans per day for <10,000 $STARBITS in order to continue profiting from the mission. This is usually doable for 6-8k worth of cards, so rather than players receiving a steady stream of liquid $STARBITS, they're converting the majority of it into more NFTs that shore up the token's value.

In other words, the millionaire rewards have shifted to 2-4k $STARBITS + 100 Fans worth of NFTs.

This is a tough change and I'm still on the fence about it. While technically you are gaining an NFT asset and maintain the 10,000 STARBIT "profit", it is now in the form of restricted stock essentially. You can't access those NFTs for any purpose otherwise you can't run the mission anymore. By removing the ability to control those assets, I have a hard time calling it "profit" in the same sense that the 10,000 liquid STARBITS rewarded today are. The only way to realize those gains is to then forgo running the mission ever again.

At the end of the day, the devs had a problem with too many STARBITS printing from the millionaire mission and needed a way to absorb it all. This will achieve that goal, but it's also a tough pill to swallow when I'd have to purchase quite a few additional cards by the end of the month and those cards provide me absolutely no game advantage or advancement beyond just allowing this one mission.

I've been stuck on Local Mini Tour for ages and keep running it constantly until I hit level 75 to complete the final mission in the Local Gig Circuit. I wish they would have addressed some of these slow progress issues by giving us some XP for each millionaire mission run in exchange for having to now purchase cards.

Hi @shauner and sorry for the late response.
Yes your points are right and for someone like me who has done so many million dollar missions it will not be easy. Maybe the new requirements were better to increase them gradually, I still have to calculate the amount needed to increase the number of fans and make assessments on the payback time because after all any blockchain game is also an investment...

Yeah I really like your comment about a more gradual increase, especially for those of us who would have to buy a lot of additional cards right away in order to keep participating in the millionaire mission. I also need to calculate how many cards I need to acquire before the deadline!

I'm a little over the halfway mark to getting my Starbits Millionaire card. I was wondering if we were going to see any changes coming to the daily mission. Overall I think it's going to be a healthy change for the game to keep people just farming starbits for nothing. I'm just thankful that we can use drunks to help alleviate some of that fan cost. Even if I have 6100 permanent fans at the moment, I feel like drunks are going to be increasingly more valuable to have around if card prices decide to rise with the changes go live.

Yes it is a change that I honestly expected to be introduced, and it will be helpful in improving the sustainability of the game in the medium to long term.

I am testing both purchase methods to see which one might be more convenient.
By buying from the foxon tool you have a certain number of fans
By buying the packs luck plays a role.
One option would be to buy the packs, try to sell the unneeded cards and buy more packs of cards and repeat the process.

I also saw this upcoming change and with my 400 played millionaire mission and 137K fans I will be in no position to run the mission anymore, which is okay as I was an early player and had a lot of benefit from it.

But damn...I loved to start the day with a mission haha

with 400 millionaire missions you need 41k Fans to carry out the millionaire mission and if you have 137K you are in a very good situation.

I currently have a little over 7000 fans and I need to get to about 31k fans and I'm considering the best way to increase this number and if it's convenient for me to do so...

But damn...I loved to start the day with a mission haha

I also love to start the day with the millionaire mission but from June 27 I may have to change this nice habit...damn :)
