It has been 20 days since my previous post on Golem Overlord and today I return to share my gaming adventure and financial analysis of my investment on this idle game developed on the Hive blockchain by https://splex.gg/.

On Golem Overlord, a very recent and interesting news has been introduced as the first NFTs** have been introduced into the game.

On 24th June 2023 1 NFT Crate was distributed totally for free to each player with the limitation of 1 crate per connected Discord account: Vista Venture: Backgrounds 0.5 Release!

Yesterday 26 June 2023 the Shop of Background NFT crates was activated where SHARD tokens can be used to purchase 1 Background Crate: Background Crates Launch

Each Crate contains 1 NFT Background and has a purchase cost of 6.81 SHARD which is not a fixed cost but a variable cost because the purchase price will be updated daily based on the average value of SHARD tokens over a 7 day time interval.

All SHARD tokens used to purchase a Crate are burned.

Based on the current value of SHARD tokens buying 1 Crate has a cost of 6.81 SHARD = 1.49 SWAP.HIVE

Today, when I went to look in the section of my inventory I found a nice surprise because I was expecting to find only 1 Crate and instead I found 3 Crates.

There are three Actions you can perform on the Crates:

• Open Crate
• Sell
• Transfer

It is possible to perform the Open Crate and Transfer actions but it is not yet possible to perform the Sell action

The first crate I opened was 1 Vista Trove III.

In the following image you can see the background NFT that I found.

In the following image you can see executable actions on the background NFT that I found in my first open crate.

The Sell and Transfer actions are blocked actions.
To unlock the Sell and Transfer actions you need to burn an amount of PART tokens.

With the second crate I was luckier because I found a NFT Background #45 that grants me +3.3% additive shard claim multiplier.

A higher bonus, however, also corresponds to a higher cost to unlock Sell and Transfer actions (35.86 PART Vs 3.6 PART)

The third crate I preferred to send to my second game account (@libertygame27) because the transfer of crates is free while the transfer of NFTs is blocked and requires burning PART tokens to enable the Transfer action.

In the third crate I found a NFT Background $54 (+1.1% shard claim multiplier)

To activate NFTs of type Background you need to move to the Main Background sub-section of the Inventory section.

It is also possible to buy Extra Slots by spending 10 SWAP.HIVE per Extra Slot but I have decided not to do this for the time being and will evaluate later whether I should buy some or not.

And here's how the background of my main screen has changed.

My game activity

On Golem Overlord it is not possible to use bots but it is permissible and it is possible to play with several accounts.

I started playing Golem Overlord on 20 April 2023, 13 days after its release.
On 27 April I doubled my gaming activity on Golem Overlord because after @libertycrypto27 I also registered my curation account for SPT tokens: @libertygame27.

Initially I preferred to adopt a defensive strategy but as of 24 May 2023 I changed strategy and adopted a more aggressive strategy because changes to the attack mechanisms were introduced: Attack Mechanics Overhaul: Expanding Targets, Minimising Risks, Amplifying Fun!

After the changes to the attack mechanisms attacking has become a more advantageous and less risky game action and for this reason in the last 20 days I have mainly focused on enhancing the offensive statistics of my two game accounts:

• libertycrypto27:
  • Power: 5 -> 8
  • Faith: 8 -> 9
• libertygame27:
  • Power: 6 -> 7
  • Faith: 8 -> 9.

In the image below you can see the game statistics of:

• @libertycrypto27 (68 game days)
• @libertygame27 (61 playing days)

During the last 20 days I have also increased the Banked statistic to have a larger capacity for PART tokens not yet claimed.

Since I've increased my offensive stats and since I've resumed performing attacks the game has become more fun.

My Investment Strategy and My Financial Results (Profit and ROI) After 68 Days of Play

Anyone who has read at least one of my previous posts on any of the idle games I play knows that I consider idle games to be almost entirely investments and that reaching the break-even point as quickly as possible is always one of my main financial goals.

In all the idle games I play I adapt and base my game and investment strategy mainly on two elements that I consider very important:

• the number of active players
• the value of the tokens in the game.

There is almost always a strong connection between the number of active players and the value of the tokens in the game although of course there are also other factors to consider.
On Golem Overlord the level of information available to players is very high and knowing the number of active players is very easy because there is the Statistics section that provides this information always up to date.

I checked the number of active players on Golem Overlord:

• on 9 May 2023
• on 19 May 2023
• on 7 June 2023
• today 27 June 2023

In the time interval 7 June 2023 - 27 June 2023 the number of active players decreased: 6617 Active Players -> 6040 Active Players.

Instead, the number of Golemancers (registrations) increased: 8497 Golemancers -> 8677 Golemancers.

How did the value of the PART token change over a 20-day period (7 June 2023 - 27 June 2023)?

HIVE: -0.60% compared to the dollar value it had 20 days ago
PART:

• -26.14% compared to the dollar value (Highest Bid) it had 20 days ago
• -32.46% compared to the dollar value (Lowest Ask) it had 20 days ago

HIVE has recovered almost all of its value after it had also recorded values below $0.30.
The PART tokens continue to lose value although the decrease is smaller than the decrease I had recorded in my previous reports and in similar time intervals.

My current investment strategy on Golem Overlord is as follows:

• sell only 20% of the PART tokens in order not to receive penalties on Claims
• invest 80% of the PART tokens to improve my game stats

More than a month ago, after the announcement of the future release of NFTs, I stopped selling SHARD tokens.

Now that the SHARD tokens have a use case I will make further evaluations to choose whether to use them or sell them.

From today I will also start monitoring the value of the SHARD tokens.

Blockchain-based games are one of my passions also because they have a dual aspect: game + investment.

In the following images you can see all the sheets I created to monitor the financial results of my investment in Golem Overlord.

Profit and ROI

To register @libertycrypto27 on Golem Overlord I spent 30 SWAP.HIVE (Golemancer Staff).
In 68 days of play I achieved the following financial results:

• Profit: +44.28 SWAP.HIVE = +$14.66.
• ROI: +147.61% (previous ROI report: +105.18%)

To register @libertygame27 on Golem Overlord I spent 40 SWAP.HIVE (Golemancer Staff).
In 61 days of play I achieved the following financial results:

• Profit: +4.31 SWAP.HIVE = +1.80$
• ROI: +10.78% (previous ROI report: -6.97%)

If I sum up the previous financial results I obtain the total financial results of my investment in Golem Overlord after 68 game days:

• Profit: +48.60 SWAP.HIVE = +$20.26.
• ROI: +69.42% (ROI previous report: +41.09%)

Final Considerations

I am still very happy that I chose to play and invest in Golem Overlord because my gaming results and my financial results are both very positive.

I am very happy that I have also reached and exceeded the break-even point with my second gaming account (libertygame27) with which I incurred a higher entry fee than with my first gaming account and with which I started playing nine days later.

In just over two months of playing I have achieved a profit of +$20.26 and an ROI of +69.42% and I consider these results really positive because in other idle games I have invested in it took me more than six months to break even.

Thanks to Golem Overlord I have added a risk-free source of income to my investments in blockchain-based games.
With the earnings I will get from Golem Overlord I will be able to accelerate my growth path on Hive (+ Hive Power) and/or I will be able to continue investing in other interesting projects built on the Hive blockchain.

Golem Overlord: Background NFTs e Crates + La mia strategia di gioco e di investimento dopo 48 giorni

Sono passati 20 giorni dal mio precedente post su Golem Overlord e oggi ritorno a condividere la mia avventura di gioco e l'analisi finanziaria del mio investimento su questo idle game sviluppato sulla blockchain di Hive da https://splex.gg/.

Su Golem Overlord è stata introdotta una molto recente e interessante novità perchè sono stati introdotti i primi NFTs nel gioco.

Il 24 giugno 2023 è stato distribuito in modo totalmente gratuito 1 NFT Crate ad ogni giocatore con la limitazione di 1 crate per connected Discord account: Vista Venture: Backgrounds 0.5 Release!

Ieri 26 giugno 2023 è stato attivato lo Shop dei Background NFT crates nel quale è possibile utilizzare i token SHARD per acquistare 1 background Crate: Background Crates Launch

Ogni Crate contiene 1 Background NFT e ha un costo di acquisto di 6.81 SHARD che è un costo non fisso ma variabile perchè il prezzo di acquisto sarà aggiornato ogni giorno in base al valore medio dei token SHARD in un intervallo di tempo di 7 giorni.

Tutti i token SHARD utilizzati per acquistare un Crate vengono bruciati.

In base al valore attuale dei token SHARD acquistare 1 crate ha un costo di 6.81 SHARD = 1.49 SWAP.HIVE

Oggi, quando sono andato a vedere nella sezione del mio inventario ho trovato una bella sorpresa perchè mi aspettavo di trovare 1 solo Crate e invece ho trovati 3 Crates

Le Azioni che è possibile effettuare sui Crates sono tre:

• Open Crate
• Sell
• Transfer

E' possibile eseguire le azioni Open Crate e Transfer ma non è ancora possibile eseguire l'azione Sell

Il primo crate che ho aperto è stato 1 Vista Trove III

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere l'NFT di tipo background che ho trovato.

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le azioni eseguibili sull'NFT background che ho trovato nel mio primo crate aperto.

Le azioni Sell e Transfer sono azioni bloccate.
Per sbloccare le azioni Sell e Transfer è necessario bruciare un quantitativo di token PART.

Con il secondo crate sono stato più fortunato perchè ho trovato un NFT Background #45 che mi garantisce +3.3% additive shard claim multiplier.

Ad un bonus maggiore però corrisponde anche un costo maggiore per sbloccre le azioni Sell e Transfer (35.86 PART Vs 3.6 PART)

Il terzo crate ho preferito inviarlo al mio secondo account di gioco (@libertygame27) perchè il trasferimento dei crates è gratuito mentre il trasferimento degli NFTs è bloccato e richiede di bruciare i token PART per abilitare l'azione Transfer.

Nel terzo crate ho trovato un NFT Background $54 (+1.1% shard claim multiplier)

Per attivare gli NFT di tipo Background è necessario spostarsi nella sotto sezione Main Background della sezione Inventory.

E' anche possibile acquistare degli Extra Slot spendendo 10 SWAP.HIVE per ogni Extra Slot ma io per il momento ho preferito non farlo e valuterò in seguito se mi converrà acquistarne qualcuno oppure no.

Ed ecco come è cambiato lo sfondo della mia schermata principale.

La mia attività di gioco

Su Golem Overlord non è possibile utilizzare bots ma è lecito ed è possibile giocare con più accounts.

Ho iniziato a giocare su Golem Overlord il 20 aprile 2023, 13 giorni dopo il suo rilascio.
Il 27 aprile ho raddoppiato la mia attività di gioco perchè dopo @libertycrypto27 ho iscritto su Golem Overlord anche il mio curation account per i token SPT: @libertygame27.

Inizialmente ho preferito adottare una strategia difensivista ma a partire dal 24 maggio 2023 ho cambiato strategia e ho adottato una strategia più aggressiva perchè sono state introdotte delle modifiche ai meccanismi di attacco: Attack Mechanics Overhaul: Expanding Targets, Minimizing Risks, Amplifying Fun!

Dopo le modifiche ai meccanismi di attacco attaccare è diventata un azione di gioco più vantaggiosa e meno rischiosa e per questo motivo negli ultimi 20 giorni mi sono focalizzato principalmente sul potenziamento delle statistiche offensive dei miei due accounts di gioco:

• libertycrypto27:
  • Power: 5 -> 8
  • Faith: 8 -> 9
• libertygame27:
  • Power: 6 -> 7
  • Faith: 8 -> 9

Durante gli ultimi 20 giorni ho anche aumentato la statistica Banked per avere una capienza maggiore per i token PART non ancora claimati.

Da quando ho aumentato le mie statistiche di gioco offensive e da quando ho ripreso ad effettuare attacchi il gioco è diventato più divertente.

My Investment Strategy and My Financial Results (Profit and ROI) After 68 Days of Play

Chi ha letto almeno uno dei miei precedenti post su un qualsiasi idle game a cui gioco sa bene che considero gli idle games quasi del tutto investimenti e che raggiungere il punto di pareggio nel più breve tempo possibile è sempre uno dei miei obiettivi finanziari principali.

In tutti gli idle games a cui gioco adatto e baso la mia strategia di gioco e la mia strategia di investimento principalmente su due elementi che considero molto importanti:

• il numero dei giocatori attivi
• il valore dei token del gioco

C'è quasi sempre una forte connessione tra il numero dei giocatori attivi e il valore dei token del gioco anche se ovviamente ci sono anche altri fattori da considerare.
Su Golem Overlord il livello di informazione a disposizione dei giocatori è molto alto e conoscere il numero dei giocatori attivi è molto facile perchè c'è la sezione Statistics che fornisce questa informazione sempre aggiornata.

Ho controllato il numero dei giocatori attivi su Golem Overlord:

• il 9 maggio 2023
• il 19 maggio 2023
• il 7 giugno 2023
• oggi 27 giugno 2023

Nell'intervallo di tempo 7 giugno 2023 - 27 giugno 2023 il numero dei giocatori attivi è diminuito: 6617 Active Players -> 6040 Active Players

E' invece aumentato il numero di Golemancers (registrazioni): 8497 Golemancers -> 8677 Golemancers

Come è cambiato il valore del token PART in un intervallo di tempo di 20 giorni (7 giugno 2023 - 27 giugno 2023)?

HIVE: -0.60% rispetto al valore in dollari che aveva 20 giorni fa
PART:

• -26.14% rispetto al valore in dollari (Highest Bid) che aveva 20 giorni fa
• -32.46% rispetto al valore in dollari (Lowest Ask) che aveva 20 giorni fa

HIVE ha recuperato quasi tutto il suo valore dopo che aveva registrato anche valori sotto 0.30$.
I token PART continuano a perdere valore anche se la diminuzione è minore rispetto alla diminuzione che avevo registrato nei miei report precedenti e in intervalli di tempo simili.

La mia strategia di investimento su Golem Overlord è la seguente:

• vendere solo il 20% dei token PART per non ricevere penalità sui Claims
• investire l'80% dei token PART per migliorare le mie statistiche di gioco

Da più di un mese fa, dopo l'annuncio del rilascio degli NFTs, ho interrotto la vendita dei token SHARD.

Adesso che i token SHARD hanno un caso d'uso farò ulteriori valutazioni per scegliere se utilizzarli o venderli.

Da oggi inizio anche a monitorare il valore dei token SHARD.

I giochi basati su blockchain sono una delle mie passioni anche perchè hanno un dublice aspetto: gioco + investimento.

Considerazioni Finali

Sono sempre molto contento di aver scelto di giocare e di aver scelto di investire su Golem Overlord perchè i miei risultati di gioco e i miei risultati finanziari sono entrambi molto positivi

Sono molto contento di aver raggiunto e superato il punto di pareggio anche con il mio secondo account di gioco (libertygame27) con cui ho sostenuto un costo di iscrizione maggiore rispetto al primo account di gioco e con cui ho iniziato a giocare nove giorni dopo.

In poco più di due mesi di gioco ho ottenuto un Profitto di +20.26$ e un ROI del +69.42% e considero questi risultati davvero positivi perchè in altri idle games in cui ho investito ho impiegato più di sei mesi per raggiungere il punto di pareggio.

Grazie a Golem Overlord ho aggiunto una fonte di guadagno e anche di divertimento a rischio zero ai miei investimenti nei giochi basati su blockchain.
Con i guadagni che otterrò da Golem Overlord potrò accellerare il mio percorso di crescita su Hive (+ Hive Power) e/o potrò continuare a investire in altri interessanti progetti costruiti sulla blockchain di Hive.
