Finally I have Doctor Blight in my cards collection: a versatile and useful card in battle + My progress in accumulating SPS tokens
When there are 2 days and 21 hours left until the end of the current season of Splinterlands I am in the Diamond II league of the Modern Format with a rating score of 3311 points and am only 89 points away from my minimum season goal which is to finish the season at least in the Diamond I league.
I am quite optimistic about reaching my season goal:
- because it is a goal that I have also achieved in the previous two seasons
- because season after season I have continually increased the battle strength of my card collection through purchases/upgrades of cards that I have considered useful in battle and that play well in combination with the cards I have in my card collection.
Today I am happy to share an important purchase goal I set 21 days ago and achieved just two days ago: I finally purchased Doctor blight of level 3.
Doctor Blight is a card that I have always liked a lot because it is one of the cards that has a characteristic that I consider very important: versatility.
A versatile card is a card that can be used frequently because it plays well in battles that have different battle rules and is on average stronger than cards that have similar play stats.
The card I consider the most versatile of all cards is a summoner card: Byzantine Kitty.
Byzantine Kitty level 3 has been my purchase goal for a long time, and it was a purchase goal I reached after several months because I chose Peakmonsters' Make Bid purchase mode to purchase it.
Byzantine Kitty was the card that allowed me to immediately improve my win rate in the Wild Format Gold leagues, leagues I played in before the introduction of the anti-bots measures in Modern Format.
After the announcement of the date of the introduction of anti-bots measures in the Modern Format I immediately switched from the Wild Format to the Ranked Battles of the Modern Format and I will only return to play in the Wild Format if anti-bots measures will be introduced there as well otherwise for me the Wild Format simply does not exist because I like to play Splinterlands against real players and not against bots and bot-farms.
Upgrading my Byzantine Kitty from level 3 to level 4 would have been my main upgrade goal today but only if there were no bots in the Wild Format.
Because of the bots I am not doing this upgrade because when the new edition set is released, the Untamed cards might be excluded from Modern Format and might only be usable in Wild Format and playing against cold, overly efficient bots is not an option for a real player like me!

Doctor Blight (like Byzantine Kitty) will be a card that will allow me to improve my win rate because it is a very strong card in my opinion.
To purchase Doctor Blight at level 3, I spent less than $30 for BCX ($179.99).
I chose to purchase Doctor Blight through the use of the Make Bid feature of PeakMonsters.
I waited more than 20 days to complete the purchase but the wait was worthwhile because I purchased Doctor Blight at a really low cost per BCX because I purchased 6 BCX below the lowest average price per BCX recorded over a 180-day time interval as you can see from the chart below that I took from https://monstermarket.io/price-history

I have not yet used level 3 Doctor Blight in the Modern Format ranked battles because the card I purchased had a cooldown period but in about 2 hours I will be able to try it and I am very excited about that.
Doctor Blight is a promo legendary card of the Chaos Legion edition.
The cost is higher than other legendary cards of the Chaos Legion edition but it is a cost in my opinion justified by the abilities that Doctor Blight has and also by the fact that it is a Neutral card that can be summoned by summoners of all elements.

I chose to purchase Doctor Blight of level 3 and not 4 because:
- I have other purchase/upgrade goals and Doctor Blight has a relatively high cost per BCX
- I consider level 3 the level with the best utility/cost ratio
Doctor Blight of level 3 will be useful to me in many battles but it will be especially useful in battles in Diamond+ leagues that have the Little League ruleset in which I will always line up Doctor Blight in last position because thanks to the Camouflage ability he will never be first attack target except in the case where the battle rule cancels this ability such as the Aimless ruleset (All monsters have Scattershot ability).
The ideal combination of rulesets for Doctor Blight is in my opinion: Little League + Wands Out + Reverse Speed.
In a battle of this type Doctor Blight will always be my first choice for sixth or fifth position.
Doctor Blight might have difficulty instead in battles with rulesets Magic Reflect, Noxious Fumes and Earthquake but in this case it could still be a valid choice but only if used in combination with cards that have the Triage ability such as Queen Mycelia, Angelic Mandarin and Spirit Hoader.
I am convinced that I have made a good purchase that will help me increase my seasonal win rate and also help me increase my seasonal gain in SPS in Modern Format.
One of my main goals on Splinterlands is to reach an amount of 100K SPS staked.
I currently have 66497.71 SPS staked and am close to completing 70% of my accumulation goal.
Thanks to the exclusion of bots in the Modern Format I have increased my gain in SPS per battle won and by continuing to increase the battle strength of my card collection I should be able to speed up my SPS token accumulation activity although reaching my goal will still take some time.

In the current season, I have only started playing regularly since August 21 but I already have a higher total gain in SPS tokens from won battles than in the previous season and this is a sign that I am making good purchase/upgrade choices.
In my opinion, this is also a good time to make card purchases because when phase 1.5 of lands begins, cards will acquire a new use case as worker cards in land plots and because of this they may have a higher demand and therefore may also increase in value and because DEC tokens will also acquire a new use case the value of DEC tokens may also increase and indirectly the value of SPS tokens may also increase (this is my personal opinion and not financial advice).

Finalmente ho Doctor Blight nella mia collezione: Una carta versatile e utile in battaglia + I miei progressi nell'accumulo dei token SPS
Quando mancano 2 giorni e 21 ore alla fine della stagione in corso di Splinterlands sono in lega Diamond II del Modern Format con un punteggio di rating di 3311 punti e sono a soli 89 punti dal mio obiettivo minimo stagionale che è terminare la stagione almeno in lega Diamond I.
Sono abbastanza ottimista sul raggiungimento del mio obiettivo stagionale perchè:
- è un obiettivo che ho raggiunto anche nelle precedenti due stagioni
- perchè stagione dopo stagione continuo ad aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte tramite acquisti/upgrades di carte che ritengo utili in battaglia e che giocano bene in combinazione con le carte che ho nella mia collezione di carte.
Oggi condivido un importante obiettivo di acquisto che avevo fissato 21 giorni fa e che ho raggiunto solo due giorni fa: ho finalmente acquistato Doctor blight di livello 3.
Doctor Blight è una carta che mi è sempre piaciuta molto perchè è una delle carte che ha una caratteristica che considero molto importante: la versatilità.
Una carta versatile è una carta che può essere usata di frequente perchè gioca bene in battaglie che hanno diverse regole di battaglia ed mediamente più forte di carte che hanno statistiche di gioco simili.
La carta che considero più versatile di tutte le carte è una carta evocatore: Byzantine Kitty.
Byzantine Kitty di livello 3 è stato il mio obiettivo di acquisto per molto tempo ed è stato un obiettivo di acquisto che ho raggiunto dopo diversi mesi perchè per acquistarla ho scelto la modalità di acquisto Make Bid di Peakmonsters.
Byzantine Kitty è stata la carta che mi ha permesso di migliorare fin da subito il mio win rate nelle leghe Gold del Wild Format, leghe in cui giocavo prima dell'introduzione delle misure anti-bots nel Modern Format.
Dopo l'annuncio della data di introduzione delle misure anti-bots nel Modern Format sono passato immediatamente nelle Ranked Battles del Modern Format e ritornerò a giocare nel Wild Format solo se in futuro veranno introdotte misure anti-bots anche lì altrimenti per me il Wild Format semplicemente non esiste perchè mi piace giocare a Splinterlands contro giocatori reali e non contro bot e bot-farms.
Il passaggio dal livello 3 al livello 4 di Byzantine Kitty sarebbe stato oggi il mio obiettivo di upgrade principale ma solo se non ci fossero stati i bots nel Wild Format.
Per colpa dei bots non faccio questo upgrade perchè quando sarà rilasciato il set della nuova edizione, le carte Untamed potrebbero essere escluse dal Modern Format e potrebbero essere utilizzabili solo nel Wild Format e giocare contro freddi e troppo efficienti bots non è un opzione per me!

Per l'acquisto di Doctor Blight di livello 3 ho speso meno di 30$ per BCX (179.99$).

Non ho ancora utilizzato Doctor Blight di livello 3 nelle ranked battles del Modern Format perchè la copia che ho acquistato aveva un periodo di cooldown ma fra circa 2 ore potrò provarla e sono molto eccitato per questo motivo.
Doctor Blight è una carta promo leggendaria dell'edizione Chaos Legion.
Il costo è più alto rispetto ad altre carte leggendarie dell'edizione Chaos Legion ma è secondo me giustificato dalle abilità che ha Doctor Blight e anche dal fatto che è una carta Neutrale che può essere evocata dagli evocatori di tutti gli elementi.

Io ho scelto di acquistare Doctor Blight di livello 3 perchè:
- ho altri obiettivi di acquisto/upgrade e Doctor Blight ha un costo per BCX relativamente alto
- considero il livello 3 il livello dal miglior rapporto utilità/costo
Doctor Blight di livello 3 mi sarà utile in molte battaglie ma mi sarà particolarmente utile nelle battaglie nelle leghe Diamond+ che hanno la ruleset Little League in cui schiererò sempre Doctor Blight in ultima posizione perchè grazie all'abilità Camouflage non sarà mai primo obiettivo di attacco trenne nel caso in cui la regola di battaglia annulla questa abilità come ad esempio la ruleset Aimless (All monster have Scattershot ability).
La combinazione ideale di Rulesets per Doctor Blight è secondo me la combinazione: Little League + Wands Out + Reverse Speed.
In una battaglia di questo tipo Doctor Blight sarà sempre la mia prima scelta per la sesta posizione o la quinta posizione.
Doctor Blight potrebbe trovarsi invece in difficolta nella battaglie con le rulesets Magic Reflect, Noxious Fumes e Earthquake ma in questo caso potrebbe ancora essere una valida scelta ma solo se utilizzata in combinazione con carte che hanno l'abilità Triage come ad esempio Queen Mycelia, Angelic Mandarin e Spirit Hoader.
Sono convinto di aver fatto un buon acquisto che mi aiuterà ad aumentare il mio win rate stagionale e mi aiuterà anche ad aumentare il mio guadagno stagionale in SPS nel Modern Format.
Uno dei miei obiettivi principali su Splinterlands è di raggiungere un quantitativo di 100K SPS staked.
Al momento ho 66497.71 SPS staked e sono vicino al completamento del 70% del mio obiettivo di accumulo.
Grazie all'esclusione dei bots nel Modern Format ho aumentato il mio guadagno in SPS per battaglia vinta e continuando ad aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte dovrei riuscire a velocizzare la mia attività di accumulo dei token SPS anche se per raggiungere il mio obiettivo ci vorrà ancora del tempo.

Nella stagione in corso ho iniziato a giocare con regolarità solo a partire dal 21 agosto ma ho già un guadagno totale in token SPS proveniente dalle battaglie vinte superiore a quello della stagione precedente e questo è un segnale che sto facendo scelte di acquisto/upgrade buone.
Secondo me questo è anche un buon momento per fare acquisti di carte perchè quando inizierà la fase 1.5 delle lands le carte acquisiranno un nuovo caso d'uso come worker cards nei land plots e per questo motivo potrebbero avere una maggiore richiesta e quindi potrebbero anche aumentare di valore e poichè anche i token DEC acquisiranno un nuovo caso d'uso anche il valore dei token DEC potrebbe aumentare e indirettamente anche il valore dei token SPS (è la mia personale opinione e non è un consiglio finanziario).

Wow, it's nice to see you get Doctor blight but I choose not to do so for mine due to the high costs. It's a pricey card and I agree that modern will get rid of untamed eventually. However, I hope it stays there for a while because untamed are some of my best leveled cards.

Doctor Blight è assurdamente forte, una delle carte in assoluto migliori, soprattutto nel formato Modern: praticamente ogni volta che me lo trovo contro è una sconfitta assicurata per me, per cui - rigirando la cosa - per te dovrebbe essere fonte di un gran numero di vittorie! Chissà che non ti dia la spinta necessaria a toccare la Lega Campione :)
Io, invece, sono riuscito ad acquistare Queen Mycelia finalmente! (non so se ti ricordi che avevo scritto un post a riguardo... e proprio ieri l'altro sono riuscito a vendere Uraeus Gold!).
Ora stavo pensando di provare a prendere Baajakira: te cosa ne pensi? Mi piacciono anche Chaos Dragon e Adelaide Brightwing, ma penso che Baajakira, anche alla luce del fatto che l'elemento Acqua è tra quelli che prediligo, sia un acquisto migliore... sei d'accordo o te daresti precedenza alle altre due carte, dato che insieme valgono quanto Baajakira e potrei quindi prenderle entrambe?

Si Doctor blight è davvero utile specialmente nelle battaglie con pochi mana disponibile che sono proprio le battaglie dove trovavo maggiori difficoltà e per questo mi sarà davvero molto utile.
Ho visto che sei in Gold 3 del wild e nel wild ci sono molte più carte tra cui scegliere. Io ti consiglio di scegliere le carte in base all'utilizzo e in base agli evocatori e le altre carte che hai.
Utilizzeresti di più Baahakira o Chaos Dragon o Adelaide Brightwing?
Io personalmente uso molto di più Adelaide Brightwing in combinazione con carte con l'abilità Taunt e la uso di più rispetto a Chaos Dragon e molto di più rispetto a Baahakira che anche se è una carta molto forte è utile in battaglie che hanno precise regole di battaglia...
Se usi molto l'acqua e hai trovato la carta leggendaria sulbound con l'abilità target practice allora potresti optare per baahakira perchè aumenta le possibilità di utilizzo altrimenti forse sarebbe più utile prendere due carte tra cui una dragone rispetto ad una sola ;)

Adelaide mi piace molto, ma al livello 1 non ha l'abilità resurrect purtroppo, per cui perde molta della sua utilità; anche Baajiakira senza l'abilità heal è sicuramente molto meno forte, ma forse è comunque un po' più giocabile? Non saprei proprio... di base propendo più per il tuo ragionamento, perchè comunque due carte potenzialmente le userei più spesso, però mi sono ancora un po' indeciso. Ora controllo ancora qualche giorno come si evolvono i prezzi e poi mi muovo, che comunque qualcosa con il budget rimasto devo acquistarlo assolutamente :)

Il budget è quello che è, per cui tutte le carte in questione sarebbero ad un modesto livello 1, quindi sarebbero tutte prive delle abilità più importanti (heal Baajakira, resurrect Adelaide e blast Chaos Dragon).
