dCrops is an NFT-based farming game developed and built on the blockchain of Hive.
Today is October 22, 2022, and in real life it is autumn.
In the dCrops game, however, the winter season is underway because on dCrops, although there are the same seasons as in real life, the seasons last only 15 days and in a little over 3 hours spring will arrive with new seeds to plant.

dCrops is a game that takes little time to play and manage, and it is the end of the season when there are the most tasks to be performed.

As I did in my previous post on dCrops that I published on October 7, 2022 also today I want to share the operations that I usually perform just before the end of dcrops seasons with the purpose of being useful especially to those who are new dCrops players.
In the second part of this post I will continue to update my dCrops seed charts and show which plantable seed in the spring season (season starting soon) is the best possible purchase and to make this choice I will be guided as always by the points Shares/HIVE ratio.

The end of winter: my operations

Before the end of each dCrops season:

• I check whether I have planted seeds and whether I have not yet harvested.
• check if I have completed or can complete all seasonal quests
• decide which farm products (crops) to sell and which to keep.

In the Farm section of dCrops I have 9 seeds that have completed the production period and therefore I can proceed with the Harvest operation.
It is important to remember to harvest before the season ends because you cannot harvest crops from a previous season even if they have completed the production period.

At the beginning of the winter season, I used some Fertile Plus boosters that I found in the chests of seasonal rewards to double the probability of receiving higher quality crops (2 and 3 stars) with the goal of having a higher probability of completing future seasonal quests without having to press the Reroll button and spend my CROP tokens.

During the winter season I performed three more harvests, and in my last harvest I still have 8 active fertile pluses, and now I can check whether their use has produced positive effects or not.

I am satisfied with the result of my last harvest because where I had used the boosters I actually harvested crops of more than one star quality:

• 1 Leek (2 stars)
• 1 Radish (2 stars)
• 2 Radish (3 stars)

After I have made my last seasonal harvest I check my situation related to the seasonal Quests.

As you can see from the image below I have completed 6 quests out of a total of 7 quests.

To receive the seasonal reward I must necessarily complete all the quests.

The only quest I have left to complete is "Sell 2 Broccoli (1 star)"

If you are a new player I would like to point out that Broccoli are not crops obtainable from plantable seeds in the winter and therefore you may find yourself with a quest that is impossible to complete during a season and therefore you will necessarily have to press on the Reroll button which has a cost of 10 CROP.

However, there is a strategy you can follow to avoid or at least reduce the number of times you will have to press the Reroll button.

I have long followed the strategy of not selling all the crops I get in a season and I do this precisely to avoid being forced to press the Reroll button ;)

So the next step I take now is to go to the Inventory section to look for and sell the 2 star quality Crops that will allow me to complete the seasonal quests and allow me to receive the quests reward.

Tip: if you have a lot of crops in your inventory I recommend using the Ctrl+F key combination to save time because the filters in the inventory section are only two and do not allow you to quickly search for a specific crop ;)

As you can see from the image below, I have completed all the seasonal quests and can make the claim of rewards right away without having to wait until the end of the season.

After completing the quests I choose which agricultural products to sell and which not.

Starting today, I have decided to make a small change to my crop storage strategy.
Previously I kept 4 crops for each crop type and quality (1-2-3 stars) now I decided to increase this amount to 6 units also because when the new game modes like Cooking will be active I may need more crops.

I therefore sold all the crops I had in quantities greater than 6.
I sold a total of 172 crops and got a total of 1531 Shares points from the sale, which will be useful for me to enter the Leaderboards and receive a reward in CROP tokens.

I will only find out the precise amount of CROP tokens corresponding to the amount of Shares points I have accumulated in the winter season when the season is over.

In order to avoid wasting time every time I have to check the type of agricultural products I have in my inventory, I have constructed a table that you can see in the following image and in which I note each crop in my inventory up to an amount of six units.

I hope dcrops will soon add new filters to the inventory section...

Focus on Spring Seeds and the calculation of the Points Shares/HIVE ratio

On 25 August dCrops entered the Beta phase and new seed type cards were added.
The spring season starting soon is the second spring season of the Beta phase.

In the following two images you can see all the seed cards that can be used during the spring season (Alpha + Beta).

By the way, I noticed that the filter in the Market section of dCrops does not include all the cards that can be used in the spring season because the legendary card Napa Cabbage is only displayed when the seasonal filters are not applied.

There are a total of 12 seed cards that can be planted during spring.

Those who read my posts know that I like to do calculations and evaluations and in the past and several times I have shown the criterion I choose to follow to select the Seed cards to buy, a selection criterion that is based on the calculation of the Points Shares/HIVE ratio.

The Points Shares/HIVE Points ratio indicates the minimum number of Shares points obtainable from the use of a Seed card during a season for each HIVE token spent in the purchase of the Seed card.

Several months ago I had created with my spreadsheet a table for each season of dCrops to calculate the Points SHARES/HIVE ratio of each Seed card.
My table for seed type cards that can be used in spring is outdated, so today I updated the table for the spring season and added the new BETA seed type cards to the ALPHA cards.

In the image below you can see the updated table where I have calculated the Points SHARES/HIVE ratio for each usable seed card in spring in the case of purchase:

• using CROP tokens as the payment method
• using SWAP.HIVE tokens as the payment method.

Several useful information can be obtained from comparing the value of the Points SHARES/HIVE ratio according to the payment method used (CROP vs SWAP.HIVE).

The first useful information is that it is more convenient to use SWAP.HIVE tokens as a payment method to purchase a usable Seed card in the spring instead of using CROP tokens.

In fact, a higher Points SHARES/HIVE ratio, when comparing payment methods for the same seed card, corresponds to a less expensive purchase.
For example buying a French Bean seed card with CROP tokens is equivalent to spending almost 50% more than buying with SWAP.HIVE tokens.

In my previous post and for seeds that can be used in winter I had found an exception (Kidney Beans) but today October 22, 2022 there is no seed cards for which it is cheaper to purchase with CROP tokens.

Tip: If you want to purchase a seed card always do the calculation first to see which is the best purchase method between SWAP.HIVE and CROP.
If you want to buy a seed card for the spring season and you only have CROP tokens available I recommend that you first sell the CROP tokens on the Dexes of Hive's second level tokens and then use the SWAP.HIVE tokens to make the purchase from the Market section of dCrops ;)

The second useful information is the indication of the most convenient seed card to purchase.

Today October 22, 2022 based on the SHARE/HIVE points ratio the best possible purchase for the spring season is the Cauliflower Rare card which has a SHARES/HIVE points ratio equal to 33..33 if purchased using SWAP.HIVE tokens as the payment method.

This means that for every HIVE spent to purchase a Cauliflower card you will earn a minimum of 33.33 Shares points during the spring season.
On the other hand, if you purchase a legendary Egg Plant card you will get a minimum of 0.48 Shares points for each HIVE spent in the purchase.

Important note: the calculation of the Points Shares/HIVE ratio is a good purchase indicator for the farming mode of dCrops and thus for players who have decided to specialize only in the Farm mode of dCrops.
In the future there will be other game modes to choose from such as Cooking mode, and at that point other calculations and evaluations will need to be made.

My latest Quests reward

It is time to conclude this post and share the opening of the 15 chests that I received as a reward for completing the Quests of the winter season.

The most valuable card that can be found in the chests is the Resource Gold Ore card but so far I have not found it yet.
Let's see if luck wants to be my friend today or not....

In the following image you can see the contents of the 15 chests I opened today.

Inside the chests I found:

• 10 Boosters
• 3 NFT Stone (market value per single NFT: 1,100 SWAP.HIVE - 450 CROP)
• 2 NFT Wood (market value per single NFT: 1,270 SWAP.HIVE - 450 CROP)

I did not find a Gold Ore card but I am still satisfied with the total value of the reward I received: 5,840 SWAP.HIVE.
In fact, if I consider the time it took me to get this reward, I can only be happy ;)

La mia operatività di fine stagione + Focus sui semi primaverili + La mia ultima ricompensa delle quests

dCrops è un gioco di farming basato su NFT sviluppato e costruito sulla blockchain di Hive.
Oggi è il 22 ottobre 2022 e nella vita reale è autunno.
Nel gioco di dCrops è invece in corso la stagione invernale perchè su dCrops, anche se ci sono le stesse stagioni della vita reale, le stagioni durano soltanto 15 giorni e fra poco più di 3 ore arriverà la primavera con nuovi semi da piantare.

dCrops è un gioco che richiede poco tempo per essere giocato e gestito ed è la fine della stagione il momento in cui ci sono più operazioni da eseguire.

Come ho fatto nel mio precedente post su dCrops che ho pubblicato il 7 ottobre 2022 anche oggi voglio condividere le operazioni che solitamente effettuo poco prima della fine delle stagioni di dcrops con il proposito di essere utile in particolare a chi è un nuovo giocatore di dCrops.
Nella seconda parte di questo post continuerò ad aggiornare le mie tabelle sui semi di dCrops e mostrerò quale seme piantabile nella stagione primaverile (stagione che inizierà a breve) è il miglior acquisto possibile e per effettuare questa scelta mi farò guidare come sempre dal rapporto punti Share/HIVE.

La fine dell'autunno: la mia operatività

Prima della fine di ogni stagione di dCrops:

• controllo se ho semi piantati e se non ho ancora effettuato il raccolto
• verifico se ho completato o se posso completare tutte le quests stagionali
• decido quali prodotti agricoli (Crops) vendere e quali tenere

Nella sezione Farm di dCrops ho 9 semi che hanno completato il periodo di produzione e quindi posso procedere all'operazione di Harvest.
E' importante ricordarsi di effettuare il raccolto prima che la stagione finisca perchè non è possibile raccogliere i crops di una stagione precedente anche se hanno completato il periodo di produzione.

All'inizio della stagione invernale ho utilizzato alcuni boosters Fertile Plus che ho trovato nei forzieri delle quests stagionali per raddoppiare la probabilità di ricevere dei crops di maggiore qualità (2 e 3 stelle) con l'obiettivo di avere una maggiore probabilità di completare le future quests stagionali senza dover premere il tasto Reroll e spendere i miei token CROP.

Durante la stagione invernale ho effettuato altri tre raccolti e nel mio ultimo raccolto ho ancora 8 fertile plus attivi e adesso posso verificare se il loro impiego ha prodotto effetti positivi oppure no.

Sono soddisfatto del risultato del mio ultimo raccolto perchè dove avevo utilizzato i boosters ho effettivamente raccolto crops di qualità superiore ad una stella:

• 1 Leek (2 stelle)
• 1 Radish (2 stelle)
• 2 Radish (3 stelle)

Dopo che ho effettuato il mio ultimo raccolto stagionale controllo la mia situazione relativa alle Quests stagionali.

Come puoi vedere dall'immagine seguente ho completato 6 quests su un totale di 7 quests.

Per ricevere la ricompensa stagionale devo completare necessariamente tutte le quests.

L'unica quest che mi rimane da completare è "Sell 2 Broccoli (1 stella)"

Se sei un nuovo giocatore ci tengo a farti notare che i Broccoli non sono crops ottenibili da semi piantabili in inverno e quindi potresti trovarti una quest impossibile da completare durante una stagione e quindi dovrai necessariamente premere sul tasto Reroll che ha un costo di 10 CROP.

C'è però una strategia che puoi seguire per evitare o almeno ridurre il numero di volte che dovrai premere il tasto Reroll.

Io seguo da tempo la strategia di non vendere tutti i crops che ottengo in una stagione e lo faccio proprio per evitare di essere costretto a premere il tasto Reroll ;)

Quindi il passo successivo che effettuo adessp è quello di andare nella sezione Inventory per cercare e vendere i 2 crop Broccoli di qualità 2 stelle che mi permetteranno di completare le quests stagionali e mi permetteranno di ricevere la ricompensa delle quests.

Tip: se hai molti crop nel tuo inventario ti consiglio di utilizzare la combinazione di tasti Ctrl+F per risparmiare tempo perchè i filtri nella sezione inventory sono solo due e non permettono di ricercare velocemente un preciso crop ;)

Come puoi vedere dall'immagine seguente ho completato tutte le quests stagionali e posso effettuare subito il claim delle ricompense senza dover aspettare la fine della stagione.

Dopo aver completato le quests scelgo quali prodotti agricoli vendere e quali no

A partire da oggi ho decido di apportare una piccola modifica alla mia strategia di conservazione dei crops.
Prima conservavo 4 crops per ogni tipologia di crop e per ogni qualità (1-2-3 stelle) adesso ho deciso di portare a 6 unità questo quantitativo anche perchè quando saranno attive le nuove modalità di gioco come il Cooking potrei aver bisogno di un numero maggiore di crops.

Ho quindi venduto tutti i prodotti agricoli che avevo in quantità superiore a 6.
Ho venduto in totale 172 crops e dalla vendita ho ottenuto un totale di 1531 punti Shares che mi saranno utili per entrare nella Leaderboards e ricevere una ricompensa in token CROP.

Scoprirò il preciso quantitativo di token CROP corrispondenti al quantitativo di punti Shares che ho accumulato nella stagione invernale solo quando la stagione sarà conclusa.

Per evitare di perdere tempo ogni volta che devo controllare la tipologia di prodotti agricoli che ho nel mio inventario ho costruito una tabella che puoi vedere nell'immagine seguente e in cui mi annoto ogni crop presente nel mio inventario fino ad un quantitativo di sei unità.

Spero che dcrops aggiunga presto nuovi filtri alla sezione inventario...

Focus on Spring Seeds e il calcolo del rapporto Shares Points/HIVE

Il 25 agosto dCrops è entrato nella fase Beta e sono state aggiunte delle nuove carte di tipo seme.
La stagione primaverile che inizierà tra poco è la seconda stagione primaverile della fase Beta.

Nelle due immagini seguenti puoi vedere tutte le carte seme utilizzabili durante la stagione primaverile (Alpha + Beta).

Tra l'altro ho notato che il filtro della sezione Market di dCrops non include tutte le carta utilizzabili nella stagione primaverile perchè la carta leggendaria Napa Cabbage viene visualizzata solo quando non si applicano i filtri stagionali.

Ci sono in totale 12 carte seme che possono essere piantate durante la primavera.

Chi legge i miei posts sa che mi piace fare calcoli e valutazioni e in passato e più volte ho mostrato il criterio che ho scelto di seguire per selezionare le carte seme da comprare, criterio di scelta che si basa sul calcolo del rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE.

Il rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE indica il numero minimo di punti Shares ottenibile dall'utilizzo di una carta Seed durante una stagione per ogni token HIVE speso nell'acquisto della carta Seed.

Diversi mesi fa avevo creato con il mio foglio di calcolo una tabella per ogni stagione di dCrops per calcolare il rapporto Punti SHARE/HIVE di ogni carta seme.
La mia tabella relativa alle carte di tipo seme utilizzabili in primavera è obsoleta e quindi oggi ho aggiornato la tabella relativa alla stagione primaverile e ho aggiunto le nuove carte BETA di tipo seme alle carte ALPHA.

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere la tabella aggiornata in cui ho calcolato il rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE per ogni carta seme utilizzabile in primavera nel caso di acquisto:

• utilizzando i token CROP come metodo di pagamento
• utilizzando i token SWAP.HIVE come metodo di pagamento.

Dal confronto del valore del rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE in base al metodo di pagamento utilizzato (CROP vs SWAP.HIVE) è possibile ottenere diverse informazioni utili.

La prima informazione utile è che è più conveniente utilizzare i token SWAP.HIVE come metodo di pagamento per acquistare una carta Seed utilizzabile in primavera invece di utilizzare i token CROP.

Infatti un rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE maggiore, nel confronto tra i metodi di pagamento di una stessa carta seme, corrisponde ad un acquisto meno costoso.
Ad esempio acquistare una carta seme French Bean con i token CROP equivale a spendere quasi il 50% in più rispetto all'avquisto con i token SWAP.HIVE.

Nel mio precedente post e per i semi utilizzabili in inverno avevo trovato un eccezione (Kidney Beans) ma oggi 22 ottobre 2022 non c'è una carta seme per cui è più conveniente l'acquisto con i token CROP.

Consiglio: Se vuoi acquistare una carta seme fai sempre prima il calcolo per verificare qual'è il metodo di acquisto migliore tra SWAP.HIVE e CROP.
Se vuoi acquistare una carta seme per la stagione primaverile e hai solo token CROP disponibili ti consiglio prima di vendere i token CROP sui Dex dei token di secondo livello di Hive e poi di utilizzare i token SWAP.HIVE per effettuare l'acquisto dalla sezione Market di dCrops ;)

La seconda informazione utile è l'indicazione della carta seme più conveniente da acquistare.

Oggi 22 ottobre 2022 in base al rapporto Punti SHARE/HIVE il miglior acquisto possibile per la stagione primaverile è la carta Rara Cauliflower che ha un rapporto Punti SHARES/HIVE uguale a 33..33 se acquistata utilizzando come metodo di pagamento i token SWAP.HIVE.

Questo significa che per ogni HIVE speso per acquistare una carta Cauliflower otterrai un minimo di 33.33 punti Shares durante la stagione primaverile.
Se invece acquisti una carta leggendaria Egg Plant otterrai un minimo di 0.48 punti Shares per ogni HIVE speso nell'acquisto.

Nota importante: il calcolo del rapporto Punti Shares/HIVE è un buon indicatore di acquisto per la modalità farming di dCrops e quindi per i giocatori che hanno deciso di specializzarsi solo nella modalità Farm di dCrops.
In futuro ci saranno altre modalità di gioco tra cui scegliere come ad esempio la modalità Cooking e a quel punto sarà necessario fare altri calcoli e valutazioni.

My latest Quests reward

E' arrivato il momento di concludere questo post e di condividere l'apertura dei 15 forzieri che ho ricevuto come premio per aver completato le Quests della stagione invernale.

La carta più preziosa trovabile nei forzieri è la carta Resource Gold Ore ma fino ad oggi non l'ho ancora trovata.
Vediamo se la fortuna vuole essermi amica oggi oppure no...

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere il contenuto dei 15 forzieri che ho aperto oggi.

All'interno dei forzieri ho trovato:

• 10 Boosters
• 3 NFT Stone (valore di mercato per singolo NFT: 1.100 SWAP.HIVE - 450 CROP)
• 2 NFT Wood (valore di mercato per singolo NFT: 1.270 SWAP.HIVE - 450 CROP)

Non ho trovato una carta Gold Ore ma sono comunque soddisfatto del valore totale della ricompensa che ho ricevuto: 5.840 SWAP.HIVE.
Infatti se considero il tempo che ho impiegato per ottenere questa ricompensa non posso che essere contento ;)

Nota Importante:

Dcrops più che un gioco è un investimento e principalmente come tale dovrebbe essere trattato.
In ogni tipologia di investimento c'è sempre un fattore di rischio da valutare e considerare.
