The number of games built on the Hive blockchain is continuously increasing and this is a demonstration of how much the Hive blockchain is an ever-growing and evolving ecosystem.

There are other blockchains that have a larger number of games than those present and active on Hive but at the same time they also have a very high percentage of game projects born and dead in a short time.
On the Hive blockchain all the games that I started playing more than two years ago such as Splinterlands, Hashkings and Rising Star are still alive projects because they are in continuous development and also continually improving.

Today I actively play 14 Hive-based-game and my fourth game in chronological order that I decided to play was dCrops to which I dedicate this post of mine today.

dCrops is an NFT-based farming game that recently celebrated its two-year anniversary (April 14, 2021 - April 14, 2023).
I started playing on dCrops at the end of May 2021 and in less than a month I will also celebrate the second anniversary of my farming activity on dCrops.

I immediately liked dCrops as a game from the beginning because of its theme, nature, and very simple game dynamics.

In its first month of life dCrops had only one game mode, farming mode, and the only cards that could be used were cards from the Alpha collection, which could only be of two types:

• Land cards
• Seed cards

With the passage of time, dCrops progressively improved the graphics and usability and added new fuonctionality and game modes.

The game modalities on Dcrops

In two years, dCrops has greatly expanded the game dynamics and game modes.

Today a player on dCrops can choose to:

• just be a farmer:
  • Plant seeds
  • Harvest mature crops
  • Sell crops to earn Shares points useful for earning CROP tokens as end-of-season rewards.

• To be the constructor and the resource producer.

• Be producer of ingredients for use in cooking

• be a cook to cook delicious dishes such as a good and tasty marinara pizza

• do more than one or all of the above activities together!

The reward mechanisms

Over time dCrops also increased the number of reward mechanisms to reward its players.

Initially, there were only two reward mechanisms:

• Leaderboards
• Holding Rewards

The Leaderboards is the reward mechanism devised by dCrops to reward the game activity of active players.
All the results of farming production, resource production activity and cooking activity are saleable products that can be exchanged with shares points.

The Shares points permit placement within the Leaderboard, which has a Reward pool consisting of a certain amount of CROP tokens that are distributed at the end of each season of dCrops (every 15 days) to all players who have obtained shares points during the season.

The Holding Rewards mechanism is designed to reward holders of dCrops assets (NFTs, CROP tokens and Alpha and Beta packs) and takes into consideration both the assets in the in-game Wallet and the assets in each player's hive engine wallet.

The rewards are a certain amount of HIVE tokens and are distributed daily based on each player's CROP POWER score with an entry threshold to start receiving rewards of a 20000 CROP POWER score.

The third reward mechanism are the seasonal quests.

The reward of seasonal quests is an amount of Reward Chests whose number depends on the CROP Power score of the player who completes the quests.

Seasonal quests are a reward mechanism that incentivizes players to have a growing and varied collection of seed-type NFTs.

If you have few seed-type NFTs you will hardly be able to complete the seasonal quests also because you need to complete all the quests to receive the seasonal reward.

Limited-time events

After the release of the BETA edition cards dCrops has increased its promotional activity and I am very happy about this because promotion is an important element for any game.

An important part of dCrops' promotional activity is events.
So far there have been 4 limited-time events and I have participated in all of them.

In particular, I really liked the formats of the last two events organized by dCrops:

• XMAS event
• EASTER event

The Easter Event is still ongoing and will end in about 12 days.

The most fun part of the Ester Event in my opinion is the ability to send gifts to other players and receive gifts from other players on each day of the event.

When the Ester Event started, I published a post in which I advised my readers to also participate in the paid mode of the event (cost of 5000 CROP) because the chances of making a profit were very high, and in the same post I shared my pre-event strategy and my goals for purchasing in the event shop.

	EASTER EVENT is LIVE!: An Amazing and Fun Promotion by dCrops (ENG/ITA)

From the sale of crops in my inventory I purchased 33 Golden Eggs in which I found 7 Golden Tickets.
From participating in the Easter Bunny Team I received many Golden Eggs in which I found 14 Golden Tickets and the gifts you can see in the table below.

With a total of 21 Golden Tickets I purchased from the Event Shop:

• 1 Fairy Garden - cost 15 Golden Tickets.
• 2 BETA Packs - cost 4 Golden Tickets (2 Golden tickets per pack).

Just by considering the NFTs I purchased using Golden tickets I received a much higher value than the cost I spent to participate in the paid mode of the event: 5000 CROP = 21,6499 HIVE.

Obviously I do not take into consideration the market value of the only Fairy Garden for sale in the market because it has an exaggerated and out-of-market selling price, but if I take into consideration the lower market value of the legendary land cards for sale (Hi-Tec Land: 218 HIVE) I have already realized a potential and excellent profit when there are still 12 days left until the end of the event.

I was lucky to purchase one of the 25 Fairy Gardens for sale in the event shop but even if I had not purchased the Fairy Garden and had only used the golden tickets received from participating in the Easter Bunny Team to purchase the BETA packs that are still available in the Event Shop today I would have made a very good potential profit because I could have purchased with 14 Golden Tickets 7 BETA packs whose total current value is 35 SWAP.HIVE (5 SWAP.HIVE per pack) which is still a value higher than the cost of joining the Easter bunny team.

I made these calculations to show that participating in dCrops events is both fun and potentially profitable especially if you start participating in events from day one.

Tips for new players

I want to conclude this post of mine with a series of my tips for new players based on my gaming experience.

- Tip 1:

Before you start playing dCrops read the Wiki section which contains a lot of useful information and will give you a concise and general overview of the dynamics of the game.

- Tip 2:

Your first purchase should always be a land card because without land cards you will not be able to play any of the game modes present on dCrops.
For this reason I do not recommend as your first purchase to buy BETA packs because in BETA packs you can only find the Trinity Land card which is a legendary card and is very hard to find.
In the beginning it is better to buy one or more land cards from the market or buy Alpha packs (DCALPHA tokens on Hive Engine) because the probability of finding one or more land cards inside a pack is relatively high (greater than 10% probability).

- Tip 3:

I suggest you start with the Farm game mode because:

• it is the easiest to start with
• it requires little management time
• it requires a smaller investment than the other game modes (Crafting, Building and Cooking)

For example, in the season following the current one, Summer, the minimum investment is the purchase of:

• 1 Average Farmland (common land card): 2,100 SWAP.HIVE
• 1 Turnip (common seed card): 0.419 SWAP.HIVE

This combination of cards will allow you to obtain in the most probable case 1 crop Turnip of quality 1 star that you can sell to get 14 Share Points.

It is not possible to calculate the exact value of 1 Share point before the end of each season but based on the values I have recorded in previous seasons with 14 Share Points you should receive a minimum of 7 CROP whose market value (highest bid) is 0.03 HIVE = $0.0113694

- Tip 4:

Before buying an NFT always first check what is the cheapest purchase price between the price in SWAP.HIVE tokens and the price in CROP tokens.

For example, the Turnip card has very different purchase prices depending on the method of purchase as you can see from the dollar conversion of the prices in SWAP.HIVE and in CROP

- Tip 5:

Before trying to complete seasonal quests, try to build up a quite large and varied collection of seed-type NFTs otherwise you may spend more to use the Reroll function more times than the seasonal reward value.

- Tip 6:

To easily complete seasonal quests and to try to reduce the number of times you will be forced to use the Reroll feature that costs 10 CROP I recommend that you keep and not sell a minimum amount of crops for each crop type and quality (1,2 and 3 stars).
For example I try to have a minimum of 12 crops in my inventory for each crop type and quality.

- Tip 7:

Remember to check if you have mature and unharvested crops and remember to harvest before the end of the season otherwise even if you have mature and unharvested crops at the beginning of the new season you will not be able to harvest.

- Tip 8:

Remember to request new seasonal quests at the beginning of the season and before planting seeds otherwise you may have a lot of difficulty completing Plant-type quests.

- Tip 9:

If you want to play Cooking and Craft modes and need to buy a land card to build an equipment check before doing the Land to Plot conversion if there is a Plot card at a lower price on the market.

I am glad I chose to start my farming adventure on dCrops about two years ago and today after two years I still enjoy planting seeds and I also enjoy posting content about dCrops on my Hive blog.

Il numero di giochi costruiti sulla blockchain di Hive è in continuo aumento e questa è una dimostrazione di quanto la blockchain di Hive sia un ecosistema in continua crescita ed evoluzione.

Ci sono altre blockchains che hanno un numero di giochi maggiore di quelli presenti e attivi su Hive ma allo stesso tempo hanno anche una percentuale molto alta di progetti di giochi nati e morti in poco tempo.
Sulla blockchain di Hive tutti i giochi a cui ho iniziato a giocare più di due anni fa come ad esempio Splinterlands, Hashkings e Rising Star sono ancora oggi progetti "vivi" perchè in continuo sviluppo e anche in continuo miglioramento.

Oggi gioco attivamente su 14 Hive based-game e il mio quarto gioco in ordine cronologico a cui ho deciso di giocare è stato dCrops a cui dedico questo mio post odierno.

dCrops è un gioco di farming basato su NFT che ha da poco compiuto due anni di vita (14 aprile 2021 - 14 aprile 2023).
Io ho iniziato a giocare su dCrops alla fine di maggio 2021 e fra meno di un mese festeggerò anche io il secondo anniversario della mia attività di contadino su dCrops e pubblicherò un post in cui calcolerò il profitto e il ROI che ha prodotto la mia attività di gioco duennale.

Dcrops mi è piaciuto subito come gioco fin dall'inizio per il suo tema, la natura, e per le dinamiche di gioco molto semplici.

Nel suo primo mese di vita dCrops aveva solo una modalità di gioco, la modalità farming, e le uniche carte utilizzabili erano le carte della collezione Alpha che potevano essere solo di due tipi:

• Land cards
• Seed cards

Con il passare del tempo dCrops ha migliorato costantemente la grafica e l'usabilità e ha aggiunto nuove fuonzionalità e modalità di gioco.

Le modalità di gioco su Dcrops

In due anni dCrops ha ampliato di molto le dinamiche di gioco e le modalità di gioco.

Oggi un giocatore su dCrops può scegliere di:

• fare solo il contadino:
  • Piantare i semi
  • Raccogliere i prodotti maturi
  • Vendere i prodotti per ottenere punti Shares utili per ottenere i token CROP come ricompensa di fine stagione.

• fare il costruttore e il produttore di risorse

• fare il produttore di ingredienti da utilizzare in cucina

• fare il cuoco per cucinare deliziosi piatti come ad esempio una buona e gustosa pizza marinara

• fare più di una o tutte le precedenti attività insieme!

I meccanismi di ricompensa

Con il passare del tempo dCrops ha aumentato anche il numero dei meccanismi per ricompensare i suoi giocatori.

Inizialmente i meccanismi di ricompensa erano solo due:

• Leaderboards
• Holding Rewards

La Leaderboards è il meccanismo di ricompensa ideato da dCrops per ricompensare l'attività di gioco dei giocatori attivi.
Tutti i risultati della produzione agricola, dell'attività di farming e dell'attività di cooking sono prodotti vendibili in cambio di punti Shares.

I punti Shares permettono di posizionarsi all'interno della Leaderboard che ha una Reward pool costituita da un certo quantitativo di token CROP che vengono distribuiti alla fine di ogni stagione di dCrops (ogni 15 giorni) a tutti i giocatori che hanno ottenuto punti shares durante la stagione.

Il meccanismo Holding Rewards è stato ideato per ricompensare i possessori degli assets di dCrops (NFTs, CROP tokens e Alpha e Beta packs) e tiene conto sia degli assets nell'in-game Wallet che degli assets nell'hive engine wallet di ogni giocatore.

La ricompensa è un certo quantitativo di token HIVE e vengono distribuite ogni giorno in base al punteggio CROP POWER di ogni giocatore con una soglia di ingresso per iniziare a ricevere le ricompense di un punteggio di 20000 CROP POWER.

Il terzo meccanismo di ricompensa è rappresentato dalle quests stagionali.

Il premio delle quests stagionali è un quantitativo di Reward Chest il cui numero dipende dal punteggio CROP Power del giocatore che completa le quests.

Le quest stagionali sono un meccanismo di ricompensa che incentiva i giocatori ad avere una crescente e varia collezione di NFT di tipo seme.

Se hai pochi NFT di tipo seme difficilmente riuscirai a completare le quests stagionali anche perchè per ricevere il premio stagionale è necessario completare tutte le quests.

Limited-time events

Dopo il rilascio delle carte dell'edizione BETA dCrops ha aumentato la sua attività promozionale e io sono molto felice di questo perchè la promozione è un elemento importante per ogni gioco.

Una parte importante dell'attività promozionale di dCrops è rappresentata dagli eventi.
Fino ad ora ci sono stati 4 limited-time events e io ho partecipato a tutti gli eventi.

In particolare mi sono piaciuti davvero tanto i format dei due ultimi eventi organizzati da dCrops:

• XMAS event
• EASTER event

L'Easter Event è ancora in corso e terminerà tra cira 12 giorni.

La parte più divertente dell'Ester Event è secondo me la possibilità di inviare regali agli altri giocatori e ricevere regali dagli altri giocatori in ogni giorno dell'evento.

Quando è iniziato l'Ester Event ho pubblicato un post in cui ho consigliato ai miei lettori di partecipare anche alla modalità a pagamento (costo di 5000 CROP) perchè le probabilità di ottenere un profitto erano molto alte e nello stesso post ho condiviso la mia strategia pre-evento e i miei obiettivi di acquisto dall'event shop.

Dalla vendita dei crops nel mio inventario ho acquistato 33 Golden Eggs in cui ho trovato 7 Golden Tickets.
Dalla partecipazione all'Easter Bunny Team ho ricevuto molti Golden Eggs in cui ho trovato 14 Golden Tickets e i gifts che puoi vedere nella tabella seguente.

Con un totale di 21 Golden Tickets ho acquistato dall'Event Shop:

• 1 Fairy Garden - costo 15 Golden Tickets
• 2 BETA Packs - costo 4 Golden Tickets (2 Golden tickets per pack)

Solo considerando gli NFT che ho acquistato utilizzando i Golden tickets ho ricevuto un valore molto più alto del costo che ho speso per partecipare alla modalità a pagamento dell'evento: 5000 CROP = 21.6499 HIVE.

Ovviamente non prendo in considerazione il valore di mercato dell'unico Fairy Garden in vendita nel market perchè ha un prezzo di vendita esagerato e fuori mercato ma se prendo in considerazione il valore di mercato più basso delle carte land leggendarie in vendita (Hi-Tec Land: 218 HIVE) ho già realizzato un potenziale e ottimo profitto quando mancano ancora 12 giorni alla fine dell'evento.

Sono stato fortunato ad acquistare uno dei 25 Fairy Garden in vendita nell'event shop ma anche se non avessi acquistato il Fairy Garden e avessi utilizzato solo i golden tickets ricevuti dalla partecipazione all'Easter Bunny Team per acquistare i BETA packs che sono disponibili ancora oggi nell'Event Shop avrei realizzato un ottimo potenziale profitto perchè avrei potuto acquistare con 14 Golden Tickets 7 BETA packs il cui valore totale attuale è di 35 SWAP.HIVE (5 SWAP.HIVE per pack) che è comunque un valore superiore al costo di iscrizione all'Easter bunny team.

Ho fatto questi calcoli per mostrare che partecipare agli eventi di dCrops è divertente e allo stesso tempo potenzialmente profittevole soprattutto se si inizia a partecipare agli eventi fin dal primo giorno.

Consigli per i nuovi giocatori

Voglio concludere questo mio post con una serie di miei consigli per i nuovi giocatori basati sulla mia esperienza di gioco.

- Consiglio 1:

Prima di iniziare a giocare a dCrops leggi la sezione Wiki che contiene molte informazioni utili e ti fornirà una panoramica sintetica e generale sulle dinamiche del gioco.

- Consiglio 2:

Il tuo primo acquisto dovrebbe essere sempre una carta Land perchè senza carte land non potrai giocare a nessuna delle modalità di gioco presenti su dCrops.
Per questo motivo sconsiglio come primo acquisto di acquistare i pacchi BETA perchè nei pacchi BETA è possibile trovare solo la carta Trinity Land che è una carta leggendaria ed è molto difficile da trovare.
All'inizio è meglio acquistare una o più carte land dal mercato oppure acquistare i pacchi Alpha (token DCALPHA su Hive Engine) perchè la probabilità di trovare una o più carte land all'interno di un pacco è relativamente alta (superiore al 10% di probabilità).

- Consiglio 3:

Ti consiglio di iniziare dalla modalità di gioco Farm perchè:

• è la più facile per iniziare
• richiede poco tempo di gestione
• richiede un investimento più piccolo rispetto alle altre modalità di gioco (Crafting, Building e Cooking)

Ad esempio nella stagione successiva a quella attuale, l'estate, l'investimento minimo è costituito dall'acquisto di:

• 1 Average Farmland (carta land comune): 2.100 SWAP.HIVE
• 1 Turnip (carta seme comune): 0.419 SWAP.HIVE

Questa combinazione di carte ti permetterà di ottenere nel caso più probabile 1 crop Turnip di qualità 1 stella che è possibile vendere per ottenere 14 Share Points.

Non è possibile calcolare il valore preciso di 1 Share point prima della fine di ogni stagione ma in base ai valori che ho registrato nelle precedenti stagioni con 14 punti shares dovresti ricevere un minimo di 7 CROP il cui valore di mercato (highest bid) è di 0.03 HIVE = 0.0113694$

- Consiglio 4:

Prima di acquistare un NFT verifica sempre prima qual'è il prezzo di acquisto più conveniente tra il prezzo in token SWAP.HIVE e quello in token CROP.

Ad esempio la carta Turnip ha prezzi di acquisto molto differenti in base al metodo di acquisto come puoi vedere dalla conversione in dollari dei prezzi in SWAP.HIVE e in CROP

- Consiglio 5:

Prima di provare a completare le quests stagionali cerca di costruirti una collezione di NFT di tipo seme abbastanza ampia e varia altrimenti potresti spendere di più per utilizzare più volte la funzione Reroll rispetto al valore della ricompensa stagionale.

- Consiglio 6:

Per completare agevolmente le quests stagionali e per cercare di ridurre il numero di volte in cui sarai costretto a utilizzare la funzione Reroll che costa 10 CROP ti consiglio di conservare e non vendere un quantitativo minimo di crops per ogni tipologia di crop e per ogni qualità (1,2 e 3 stelle).
Ad esempio io cerco di avere nel mio inventario un minimo di 12 crops per ogni tipologia e qualità di crop.

- Consiglio 7:

Ricordati di controllare se hai crop maturi e non raccolti e ricordati di effettuare il raccolto prima della fine della stagione altrimenti anche se hai crops maturi e non raccolti all'inizio della nuova stagione non potrai più effettuare il raccolto.

- Consiglio 8:

Ricordati di richiedere le nuove quests stagionali all'inizio della stagione e prima di piantare i semi altrimenti potresti avere molte difficoltà a completare le quests di tipo Plant.

- Consiglio 9:

Se vuoi giocare alle modalità Cooking e Craft e hai bisogno di acquistare una carta land per costruire un equipment controlla prima di fare la conversione da Land a Plot se c'è una carta Plot ad un prezzo minore sul mercato.

Sono contento di aver scelto di iniziare la mia avventura di contadino su dCrops circa due anni fa e oggi dopo due anni ancora mi diverto a piantare semi e mi diverto anche a pubblicare contenuti su dCrops sul mio Hive blog.
