Getting married is an important decision in life, I remember that I was the type of person who used to think that getting married was not necessary, I had not fallen in love and the truth was that I did not want commitments with anyone, marriage was not in my plans.
Always at family gatherings when they asked me if I was going to get married I would say: "No way I'm getting married", so when the day came my family thought it was a lie.
All that changed when I found a very sweet girl on my way to me, I was immediately attracted to her, then I began to doubt if I really wanted to be alone for the rest of my life.
She came into my thoughts, then my stubborn heart changed its mind and I asked her to marry me.
Our wedding was quick, from the civil headquarters to the house, no celebration, there was no money available to do something nice, money was no excuse to get married, we both wanted to be together and today it has been 18 years since that day.
This week thinking about my post for Dreemport I asked my wife if she would like to celebrate our marriage again, she laughed and told me: "I'm serious, will you marry me again, of course I will, I really love that woman! Then I asked her:
If money were not an issue, what would our DREAM wedding be like.
I had to ask her, I am not a very detail oriented guy and I know that for a woman this is important, it is a dream, even though in the past we described that wedding, I wanted to hear her and know if she still thought the same about those details, now without money limits.
The theme of the wedding is an agreement between two people, she is my partner, I wanted to Dream with her, share our ideas of Weddings, make it clear to her that I have that pending detail between us, that I care.
Our wedding was rushed, no celebrations, I want to imagine what our Renewal of Vows would be like, I would like to give her a personalized ring, with our names engraved, I would like that delivery to be special, we both have always wanted to make a trip to a state in my country called Merida, that would be the exact occasion to give her that ring and ask her to marry me again.
As I said before I'm not a very detail oriented guy, but with money available I can be very creative, I want it to be special, she deserves it, has been putting up with my outbursts and craziness for 18 years, eso la sorprenderia, I am sure that day would be unforgettable.
Then as I was talking to her a few days ago, the preparations for the Renewal of Vows would come, as for arrangements, colors and taste I would leave that choice to her, she is good at organizing things, of course I want the wedding to have gold.
Extravagant weddings like Arabian weddings would be my choice, but knowing my wife she would choose something simpler.
The theme of the food if I want to take it to me, I want to grill at my wedding, no exclusive, expensive dishes, the help of my mother and my sisters would be great, they know what I like.
It would be a family wedding, with our essence, our Christian roots, with lots of food, and natural drinks, with few guests.
If our guest list is very small, only family and few friends, even with money I still think the same way, I want people who really appreciate us at the wedding.
So my Invitation cards would be very few, a celebration like the one I imagine is special for both of us, so I would like to give me the luxury of wearing a good quality suit, elegantly dressed, perfumed, at the height of my wedding of Dreams.
I also want my beloved to have her own taste, to choose what she wants to wear, to wear a nice dress, I have seen how they record all the details of a wedding, that would be excellent, I would also like everything to be saved in videos so that after a while I can watch those videos and smile with joy.
I want my children to change with us, I want everything to be beautiful in the pictures, I want a lot of pictures, a photo session with my family, they would be good memories.
As for the location of the event, I would like to have an outdoor venue for the renewal of vows, with musicians playing instruments and singing the song that brought us together, our favorite song.
Our wedding procession would be family, with the children of the family, the reception would be in a large space, ideal for placing many floral arrangements.
This wedding would be in the morning hours, because I want to travel with my wife to a beautiful place in Venezuela, I want that moment to be special for both.
A Renewal of Vows, the wedding I wish for both of us without money problems, maybe I skipped some details, well with extra help everything can be possible because to carry out the organization of a wedding like the one I imagine takes time, organization, advice.
I have seen all kinds of weddings, some with sad endings, although mine was quick and simple I am sure that if I had the opportunity to renew my vows without having the excuse of lack of money it would be a luxury.
