Does your Role model mirror your future?

I don't even know why I had to caption my post this way but then I think it very important I start on this note. Why do we even need a Role model in the first place if he or she is not looking like what you would love to be in the nearest future.

There must be something that should attract you to anyone you choose as your role model. There is one fascinating thing that I have noticed as touching this subject and it's the fact that most model do not even know they are indirectly affecting people with their exemplary lives even without a direct contact in most cases.

This is unlike a mentor and mentee kind of relationship where the mentor directly influences his mentee and trains him to become like him or even better than him.
I also think it's important I mention that one's role model can be more than one. Man is designed in such a way that although he is a single entity but encompassed with different aspect or area of life.

For example he has a physical life, he also knows there is a supernatural life also known as spiritual life. He needs money to be financially stable,(financial life), he has emotions and can love and be loved (relationship life) and so on. For him to gain balance in this area he has to be helped, he needs to be guided. This is where these people we call model come in.

They have been able to successfully go through these stages maybe not wholistically but at least in one of the areas. This is the reason why many people have role models and mentors for different areas of their lives because sometimes it's difficult to find someone who has success in all of these areas. Please if you by chance find anyone who has recorded success in all of these areas, hold them dear and honour them.

Do I have a role model?

Yes I have a role model. I would choose Mr. Oladipo as my model, I have known him for quite sometime now. Although he is not a celebrity who is all over but then I see in him a man who is already living my future. There are so many things I want to achieve personally. This man already walks in this things.

Sometimes I wonder how he manages to combine all of these thing together. The truth is when I think about how to go about these things or even how to implement then it overwhelms me and here is a man who does these things effortlessly. Ever since I knew he is into most of the things I have plan to achieve, I have been observing him closely and learning from him.

Although he is not perfect just like I stated earlier. Some people might not just be good in all areas but in specific areas. I choose to ignore those areas and focus on their area of strenght without feeling indifferent about him nor dishonour him.

The qualities I saw.

Apart from the fact that he is into most of the things I plan to achieve in the nearest future, he also have some impeccable characters.

He is God-fearing, I know he loves God so much and supports his work. The way he gives scares me most times,he gives to a fault. guess it's the secret to his life of sufficiency.

He is hardworking, I mean very hard-working. I stated earlier that I still wonder how he combines the stuffs he is into without breaking down or backing out. He is just so amazing.

He is also a goal getter. I
So much love this part of him, once he sets his heart to do something, he goes for it as long as he is very sure of the project or whatever it is. He does not entertain any form of delay at all and before you know it, the project is accomplished.

He is straightforward. He doesn't mince word, he say it the way it is. I believe integrity is key. The benefit of integrity is priceless, who wouldn't want to mingle with such person? This I also love about him. I guess it's the reason why well meaning people find their way around him.
