We spent our anniversary at Crosswinds Tagaytay - Switzerland, of the Philippines.

Summer Travel Photo Collage.jpg

Since the day the husband and I booked his ticket for the incoming vacation, I'd considered a particular place to spend time with him. Years after we got married, we only celebrated our anniversary once. The rest? We are miles apart. Yet this year, we intentionally requested a vacation that will fall on our special day! Good thing it was granted by his company abroad.

At first, I was eyeing to visit Baguio, the summer capital of the Philippines. However, because of the long travel, I didn't want to tire myself, so I opted for Tagaytay. Thus, there are many choices as it was one of the tourist destinations; I need help finding where to book a staycation.

After a series of browsing and inquiries, I finally settled at Crosswinds Tagaytay.

What makes me choose Crosswinds?

As I checked some photos and facts about it, it was known as Switzerland of the Philippines. A 100-hectare landscape and approximately 20,000 pine trees along the vicinity. Source

The husband and I went here via public transportation, and when we arrived, Security asked for our booking details. The Security was tight as in the entrance alone; there were three of them. After the validating, they allowed us to get in. However, we were given an option if we wanted to avail of shuttle service. The problem was the fare cost around $5.39 each for a distance of 1 kilometer. Quite expensive for an ordinary citizen like me 🤣.

The good thing was they were friendly and told us to take the alternate route, which only cost $1.44!

Several Tower Villas were inside the resort, and the distance was far. More ideal if you have a private car. The room we rented was in Tower 3, in Lusanne Villa.

From the entrance in the alternate route given to us, our room is now just five minutes walk away. On the right, just in case you wanted some refreshment or might be starving, then you may drop by here at Dear Joe Coffee and Juice.

It offers fresh juices and brewed coffee. Also, the chocolate cakes taste so good. I might share about it in the next blogs.

In any case, if you are looking for something different, then go to Windmill Lussane.

IMG_20230518_172651.jpg

Across, you can also dine in another coffee shop, Yama Cafe. Best to stay here if you are chasing the sunset. You got the full view.

There are several tables inside and on the balcony, but customers may also sit and relax at an open table just outside the café. It was set for a small group, a family, or a couple.

Isn't it romantic Coffee + your favorite person? While watching the sunset as the sky turns to gold, pink, and dark gray until the surroundings become dark. That made me realize I had a great day with My loves.

Back to our rented unit, it was just a straight walk from beside Windmill Lussane. Tourists who are only for day tour can only wander around until here.

Next are the Tower units for the residents and tourists renting a place. Security is doing their job well in ensuring that it was implemented. Besides, wandering around was quite awkward (that's what we felt) as the road was quiet and empty. Only a few private vehicles pass by, or Security is patrolling around.

Pine trees were planted beside the road from the start of the first Tower until the last one I could see. You could also see a sight of several designs.

Finally, after a few minutes of walking and enjoying the calming view, we reached our destination.

The next building is colored blue-green, right?

IMG_20230518_153903.jpg

But before going, I couldn't help but admire these beautiful pine trees!

IMG_20230518_153730.jpg

We even took some photos here.

IMG_20230518_153628.jpg

What about this greener view from where we are standing?

IMG_20230518_155325.jpg

And after several takes, as we were using a tripod, and when I contended with the photos, lol, we decided to check in.

The unit we rented was on the 5th floor and was worth it. Got this view from the balcony.

There was also a complimentary coffee, and you are free to brew. As I shared on my Twitter a few days ago, having these? I am ready to start the day.

Ang ganda. Little Switzerland nga.. I like the view of the pine trees.. Are their trails there? It would be great to have a walk out there.

Though we are quite near Tagaytay, we never had the chance to stay for long and rent a place. Beautiful scenery te Lhes ha in all fairness. Kinda romantic din the ambiance as people having their dates can enjoy the tranquility of the location.

we were using a tripod,

Never ako nagdala nang tripod. Maybe it is a sign to buy one na talaga since wala akong makuhang matinong pics para intentional din.

Yung pic nyo ni hubby na magka holding hands post-nup yarn? Kiligggg
