Walking around in La Virginia Resort, a great place to relax with family and enjoy a refreshing view of nature.
After exploring Tagaytay and visit a lot of breathtaking tourist spots, the husband and I now take a walk in one of the nearest Resort from our house, La Virginia.
A short history
The resort is six hectares wide with a scenic view of nature and the Taal Lake. Located at the top of a hillside part of Mataasnakahoy Batangas. It consists of five outdoor pools which is perfect if you want to spend time with your family and kids. Entrance fee is only $5.43.
We went there together with his family as it's been a long time since they went out. completely. To be exact, it has been a decade since one of his sisters used to work abroad, from Taiwan to Canada and she only went home now after ten long years or more. Enough reason to celebrate!
The kids couldn't wait to take a dip in the pool and started throwing tantrums which left us no choice but to let them. Since we don't have a kid, we decided to take a walk around which I will be sharing in today's #wednesdaywalk hosted by @tattoodjay and #makemesmile by @elizacheng.
From our cottage, we walk down the nearest swimming pool and cottages. See this cute little guy having a small argument with the husband as he is demanding something that I forgot.
The resort was indeed a breath of fresh air. A lot of plants, trees were planted around which makes the whole place green.
I mentioned that the resort was six hectares wide, so each area has different themes of cottages and rooms. The first one that we passed by was the Ifugao Village.
Cottages here are just simple, made of light material and elevated to the ground. I forgot to take a photo, but remembered I had taken years ago.
The twenty eight years old me, lol
The other side of the village
More photos of cottages and if you wanted to feel more comfortable in summer time, they also offered fully air conditioned rooms. Separated among others that surely you will have your privacy.
Few more walks and we found this short bridge in between the cottages.
Not that long but rather enough for those who wanted to experience walking on the bridge. The foot walk was made of cement but as I walked I heard the cracking sound. Perhaps it's the iron grill on both sides. LOL, that made me think if it can manage our weight and if we could cross safely.
Thanks goodness we did, safety and hey! I spotted a tree house!
That excites me and almost drags the husband to walk faster. Other good news was, there is no additional payment if you wanted to go here as long as it was not rented privately.
Going up was designed like a spiral but safe even with kids as the stairs were made of cement. The whole three houses to be exact. Handrails high enough to prevent you from slipping and falling down.
Isn't bored to climb up as they added man made attractions like these birds resting on the twig.
If you had a kid with you and got tired from walking up the stairs, no worries! There is a small bench here in the middle of where you can rest.
You may also stand here in the corner and pick some mangoes if in season.
OH, I forgot to mention but the tree where this tree house is built is a Mango!
At the top, this is what you will see.
A cottage made of bamboo where you can rest while enjoying the fresh air. The wind is blowing here strong and good.
The calming vibes of nature
The glimpse of Taal Volcano
Another reason that excites me is the Castle I saw from afar. I badly wanted to go down instantly and take the road leading where it is but my stomach was already grambling. I haven't eaten my breakfast yet not to mention I am quite tired. So see you on my next blog. Thanks for dropping by.
