Important things I placed on my bedside table before I go to bed.
As I mentioned in my previous blogs, I'd been sleeping on the couch in our living rooms for weeks. Our bed was too spacious for me and it was so hard to get up due to my pregnancy. Might be okay if I will just lay down, sleep and get up the next day but nope. Several trips to the bathroom for the entire night. To make it easier for me, I decided to stay at the couch and it was my mother-in-law in our room. She's been staying with me for days now at night so I had a companion (it's my due month.)

Though apologies as not really on my bedside table but currently it is.
I am the type of person that wants everything in its place, yet at night I always make sure I am ready just in case. So what can you see on my table?
Power Bank
Not only for charging purposes but emergency lights as there are times that electricity is interrupted here no specific time. For convenience, I always check if my power bank is full and place it near me in case of an emergency.
Chargeable flashlight

Though my power bank already had built-in lights, I still had a small chargeable light with me. This is just small and handy.
Charger
Just like anyone, the first thing I picked up when I woke up was my cell phone. Not only to check messages but also the time. Should it's time to start another day or continue my sleep. Yet, sleeping has been a luxury for me these past days 😫. It was always uncomfortable to lay down, find a better position. It could be finding the best one, looking forward to a good rest but then, here is the sudden call of nature!😭
It was frustrating! Sometimes I would play music to calm my baby as he kept on kicking at night and for both of us to relax. That is why I need my charger near me, so I could charge it anytime.
A tumbler of water

Nope not only a glass but a tumbler with water. Since I got pregnant I have always been thirsty and would wake up anytime at night just to drink water. This month is not only hard to get up but I feel like an old lady with arthritis, lol 🤣. My legs and even feet hurt the moment I woke up (if it was idle for hours). Limping every morning has become my usual routine. That is why I just bought water and placed it on the table near me at night.
A pen
Call me paranoid but it is not just an ordinary pen but a knife.
As the world becomes dangerous and at times we aren't even safe in our home? Better be prepared. As if this small knife could save me but who knows? At least I had something to use in case of emergencies. Thus I always make sure to keep this in the morning, out of reach by the kids.
Cellphone
Is there anyone here who sleeps without their phones? I honestly can't, I need it near me within my reach even when my eyes are closed. This became our main source of communication now and made our life easier. Calling for help is just one tap of our fingers.
That is why I had those power banks and charger to make sure my phone had a battery. I don't know when exactly I will give birth and when the time comes I will need to call my other sister in law living a few blocks away from here.
For now, I had everything prepared, especially at night, I do hope I won't panic 🤣.

After you’ll deliver your baby, for sure that you’ll remove the pen with knife beside you because it’s dangerous for babies and you’ll be paranoid if the baby is out of your sight for a seconds. Hehe. Toddlers are curious, they touch and play everything. As a first time mom like me, nakakaparanoid talaga maglagay ng sharp objects sa baba at sa gilid.
Preparing powerbank, phone and charger is also an excellent idea especially when you have a baby. There was a time that my little one cried a lot during power interruption and all my gadgets were lowbat. Buti nalang, full battery and mama ko. Haha
I feel you. When I was pregnant, I had nerve sciatica because my knees couldn’t carry the weight of my baby. LoL. The doctor advised to always straighten my back or maintain a proper posture because I carried a heavy human inside. Yes, it was really hard to move when you lay down.
ah surely will be careful of everything inside our home.
I am a first time Mom too and I wonder how some ladies could manage to bear a lot of child.
kasi ako isa pa lng hirap na hirap na 🤣
Oh my, my. I didn't expect the pen to be a knife as well. Wow, you are prepared for anything hehe. I wish you well sis while you await for your baby's coming :)
