I'm trying to be positive instead of ranting, making ways to survive on the fourth day without a water supply.
We are on the fourth day without a water supply since Typhoon Kristine hit my country, and the water I stock in the barrel was barely hanging! I felt tired and irritated, though one thing I was thankful for was that electricity was restored, and there was nothing much to clean since we were safe from the flood. I felt hungry, yet cooking was only a good idea with water. Not unless I would prepare pancit canton or instant noodles again!
What to do then?
Better get up from bed and have a coffee. An egg sandwich is fine, so prepare to cook the sunny side up. Ahhh, the frying pan is still greasy since I used it the other day!😕. Without a choice, I took the small cooking pot, but since it was not ideal to use, I ended up burning my hands. Why? Cooking oil splashes up when I put the egg!
I really suck at cooking! What more if I prepare a steak? It might burn my arms.
What about the baby? I mean, his bath? Ahh, I could leave without electricity, but water? It was harder!
Ended up giving him a bath using mineral water.
It's lunchtime yet, and I don't have anything to eat aside from bread. Many thanks to Food Panda, whose delivery was okay. I ordered at Mcdo because it's been a while!
It says 15-30 minutes, and I have no choice but to wait even though I am starving. But........!
The Coke float has already melted 😫
Even the McFlurry with Oreo Cookies 😫.
Would you enjoy sipping an Ice cream? I bet Not!
Even the gravy was spilled. I wanted to rant, but remembering how some of my fellow Filipinos are still suffering from the aftermath, I realized I am still blessed and should be thankful.
Instead, I placed the ice cream on the fridge to harden, and so far, it works.
What about me? Should I take a bath? 😆
Past four in the afternoon, I prepared everything I needed, put the baby in the stroller, and off we went! Where? On the next street, my sister-in-law's house, as the water supply wasn't cut off.
The weather was already fine, and the day should go well. Common Les, remember back then. Your current life is still easier. Stop being grumpy.
Ate (how we address our older sister), please take care of my baby for a while. I just need to take a bath!
In fairness to my inlaws, it was easy to ask for favors. Yet, since I was raised to be independent, I seldom ask for help. They are also working, and I don't want to disturb them.
She sells Soimai, so I ordered it before going home!
Want some?
After a few chit-chats, I bid goodbye and went home as it was nearing twilight. My baby is with me now 😆.
It was only a few minutes' walk to the next street, but since my baby was in a stroller and private vehicles passed by occasionally, it took us a while before reaching home.
Now, at least we are both fresh before going to bed.
As of the writing, it's six days without a water supply. 😕😭

Thank you for the support!
Ang hirap niyan, mawalan na lang ako ng kuryente, wag lang tubig, Buti nga nkapag stock ka, pero paubos narin..
Sana magkatubig na lalo na't may bata.. need hugasan bottles everyday..
!LADY
I used mineral water, purified in washing my baby feeding bottles.
Thankful pinag iigib ako Ng in laws ko or I can't imagine what to do if there is a call of nature
Mawalan na Ng kuryente, wag Lang tubig. Mahirap talaga😁😬😬
Kaya nga, Buti Meron na Ngayon
Living without water is really sad 🥺I hope you are patient enough to go through it all.
Glad it was finally over!
May tubig na 😆
😆
I've personally experienced no/minimal water supply during a strong typhoon that struck Cebu back in 2021 and definitely, it's not easy. I hope you and your family will be out of this situation in no time. Hang in there! :)
Oh it was !
Buti if it's in the province my hometown at least there is deep well where we can fetch
Its better without electricity talaga but not without water! Ang daming di magawa wothout it. Kahit mag wash nang hand para kang manghihinayang gawin coz of the limited water. Aguy ah. Sana bumalik na supply nang water dyan. And btw, homemade yong siomai? Mukhang mesherep.
I make tipid Ng water as in 😆. Didn't even cook for days!
Nope not homemade, binibili lng din niya
No water supply is truly hard. Okay na walang ligo, pero pano yung pang luto, nuh?
Bili delata Muna 😆😂
I can't leave without ligo
